The adult system is out! Thanks for all staff members who have worked hard in this! It is wonderful!

I am just wondering, if there is a way for future adults, to have a system to get married, and a system for them to have children. I understand their can be muggleborns, but I think it would be fun if new users to choose to have parents-- and their names will be given by their parents. It would be great fun!

By the way, I think a question asking the user's preference should be added to the sorting ceremony, for in the story, the sorting hat will consider the user's feeling. And if my first suggestion is accepted, it shall also consider one's parents' house
Thanks once again for the wonderful system, have a nice day!

Adults will be able to get married, I am not sure if there will be a system for it.
About kids- considering that users will still start with 11 year old characters, this may be a little complicated. Unless adult characters adopt, one would not just land with an 11 year old child all of a sudden.
So if this is a naturally born child, there would be 11 years of waiting until another player could choose to create an account for this kid- with the consent of the parents' players, as the child was originally their dNPC.

this is definitely a problem... but for former professors, I think this can be useful actually, anyway, this is up to you! Perhaps this will only be useful 11 years later, when I am an adult too!

Finally, thanks once again to the staff!

I believe I already suggested that the sorting hat take player's preference into consideration (like by giving them an option to remove 1 house completely from the choices and have the hat decide from the remaining 3 houses) but from what I remember they said the code they use for the hat won't allow them to do so. Plus there were other factors that prevented people from doing this. I also believe if this is the case, Gryffindor and Hufflepuff Houses would become severely depleted as most newcomers want to either be in Ravenclaw or Slytherin. Which isn't fair to Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. So I don't think they will change the Sorting Hat code. At least not anytime soon.

The code does not allow that. It is a weighted equation based on answers. By removing a span, the numbers would no longer work for most of the houses.

A system for marriage - you are able to marry IC who you choose IC when you are "of age" since we don't do child brides. Players can keep their name or use the one-time name change (you get one per character, so if you used it when you were 14 to have an adoption arc for example you would be keeping your maiden name)

A system for having children - basically re-indexing and claiming adoption. If you are truly dedicated, if you RP'd having a kid and wait the 11 years that would work too. It is hard to insert a child into a character's story except for one night stands. I am sure it will happen for someone. But that would be a long wait.

There are some members who are related to present professors. Some people collectively agree to be a part of one another's stories. This is OK as well. I do caution however, nobody wants a stranger in their DMs asking them to be their parent. Usually tethering yourself to another player requires a level of trust and communication that only comes with time. Often players that just ask for a family member and accept the first good or interested writer regret this when their visions fail to align or one of them goes inactive. That said, we have members who have maintained wonderful long-term familial relationships.

I'll second that!

Tris and Axyen have been working hard on rules and system.

I'm going to be looking into lore, too.

I wanted to suggest something concerning future summer camps:
I had seen that last year it was in the London quidditch stadium. Maybe it would be a cool idea to also let them take place at the other schools in some coming years. so that not only Hogwarts is visited but that Hogwarts students visit the other schools.
