Second year:
- Completing lesson 2 "The Founding of Hogwarts" , will now allow you to add the Softening Charm ~ Spongify to your personal pool of spells.
- Completing lesson 3 "The Three P's - Papyrus, Parchment & Paper", will allow you to add Packing Charm ~ Pack

ASTRONOMY / ASTROLOGY UPDATES

All Years
By now many of you are aware of the upcoming implementation of a shop system for spell and potion inventorying. As with all the other classes, Astronomy / Astrology is also undergoing a revision with the aim to simplify & streamline the HW process.

With the upcoming changes in system, I want to make sure as many of you as possible can get all of your astro related spells and potions into your trunks as quickly and seamlessly as possible. To that end, lessons will be edited over the coming fortnight to make that happen.

If you have already submitted HW, you're golden! It'll be graded as usual. If you haven't yet done any HW this year, please wait a bit whilst I get the HW portions of the lessons edited!

And for all of you who are either ravenous Ravenclaw readers or else saw that strange P-word in an Astronomy announcement, thinking I'd gone quite madder than a hatter, you read that right! Potion!? WHAAAAAAT? We're going to learn an actual potion in astrology class!? WHOA! You did indeed read that right. The Replenishing Potion shall be added to the astrology curriculum!

As we go through the transition period, please make sure you focus on current year HW and make sure your trunk posts are up to date!

Fourth Years through Adults
I have added the Replenishing Potion to Astronomy/Astrology Year 3 Lesson 3 (Southern Belles). This potion replenishes and duplicates liquids it comes in contact with. Use it wisely! I recommend dabbing some on your rival's handkerchief! That way, when they blow their nose, the Replenishing Potion will duplicate all that juicy SNOT!

Since you 4th through 7th years and adults have already earned your third year spells and potions automatically, according to the old system, all you need to do is update your Trunk with this potion!

I know, I know...it's raining announcements!

In light of upcoming changes to our system, I will be editing all homework assignments to make them easier to complete and more accessible for everyone. This said:

All Years:
- I'll give you until the end of this month to submit all the homework you've already started or want to do. You have until May 31st to submit it. This will give you fair time to organize and give me enough time to make all the necessary edits.

Potions Update

With recent changes coming to our systems, all of potions lectures have been opened to their respective years. Thus you no longer need to finish Lecture 1 to write Lecture 4 (Barring Y1).

Additionally I shall be editing homework to make it easier to complete and more accessible for all, starting from Y1 and then proceeding to Y2 and son on. You all have until 31st May to submit any current homework you may have written.

If you have any doubts, wish to be featured in a lecture for your year. My DMs and site as well as discord remain open, just announce yourself.

Stage I: Shop Transition Project

We are entering Stage 1 of the shop transition project. In this stage Admin will be creating the shops. This will happen over the weekend. Upon completion players will have access to shops where they can acquire knowledge rather than complete classes.

During this phase, professors will not be automatically giving out spells as inventory items because the inventory items do not exist.

After the shops are made, the workflow will be reviewed with the Professor staff with a planned start date and we will enter Stage 2.

What is your role during Stage 1.

Update your trunk. That's it. Make sure your trunk is up to date with all of your spells listed clearly including any you passively gained through graduation.

When can you expect to hear from us again?

In a few days. Please refer to project announcements for more details. We anticipate additional project announcements over the next few days also.

As with every other subject Divination is also undergoing some updates, and major simplification!

INCOMING Third Years: When you gain access to Year 3 homework, you will now be receiving the “Ascension Spell” as part of your completed homework for Year 3 Lesson 2.

THIRD YEARS AND ABOVE: If you have already completed Year 3 Lesson 2 please add the spell to your trunk accordingly with our index team.

Sixth and Seventh Years: will be receiving their updated lesson first as their curriculum, while completed, is out of date. All current lessons for Years 6 & 7 will be updated no later than May 31st.

Sixth Years Your “first” updated lesson will technically be Y6L2: Pyro-Hydro-Maniacs as our previous Divination Professor left you a very well put together lesson for your Y6L1. The new Sixth Year lesson(s) will be dropping between May 12th - May 17th so please make sure if you are in the middle of any Year 6 homework that you finish it up and submit it! 🩷

ALL YEARS: All homework will be reuploaded as simplified editions (Barring OWL's and NEWT's) on May 31st, 2025 which means you have until May 30th, 2025 to complete any remaining homework that you may or may not be in the middle of. The new homework will be faster and simpler to fit with our new projects!
