Just a re-iteration of the mention of the banking system. That requires a lot of custom coding where we would be spending a lot of resources to develop something that de-incentivized players from actually doing fun things now/today.

We did re-balancing the site economy some time ago (since the initial mention of the banking with interest). There was an issue in the early days with players having to wait months if not years (literally) to afford some items. It got better with the years (it was a slanted economy that favored older users) but it was not an enjoyable experience for new players.

Today we have additional options including the shops for players to engage others for extra money and we offer prizes for top earning house if you contributed over a threshold and offer additional compensation to players assisting the economy as mentors and newspaper workers.

Wouldn't it be cool to have the Clock Tower location among the forums? I recently noticed it was nowhere to be found.

Mostly due to the high specificity of the area and limited reasons to be there. That said, it is still good to point out if there is a need for expansion so thank you.

Hii, Estelle posted so I just got reminded of an idea I've had. Not sure if it is realistic hio chocolate frog cards that you can collect. No coding required, but everyone could make their own collection page and mods could update a frog card that they get for maybe posting in a forum once six hours and then get a random one selected by tatsu. They could be Captains, Headliner Secretary/Editor in Chief, prefects or professors.

IC-wise you can do rps of this taking place, as long as you're not asking others to help you with turning in actual homework to get grades. But if you mean in an official sense where the site would give you $, it kind of reminds me of being a mentor on the site. Although mentors mostly help in the OOC aspects, like answering OOC questions you might have, helping you get settled, and helping you finish your ency and get into index. But yeah if they decide to set up a tutoring thing too that only specializes in IC helping students do homework and the site pays for it, that would be fun. Not sure if they'd do it but I'm interested in hearing with the staff have to say!

This is heavily modded and really would be difficult to keep up with. We have a lot on our plates, and it seems like there would be more riding on the expectation that you listed. However, I will say, there is a chocolate frog system we have already. Profile Drop-down —-> Choco Frogs

The issue with that is that I think we have currently no students who could fight them, only professors. The Patronus Charm is also a sixth year spell, so it would be difficult to involve more than a small minority of students.
We'd need to think of some good reasons why dementors wouldn't just make many players lose their characters in such a plot.

I have not done much MS due to the heavy site workloads and user management these past few months. Please make your friends stop multi-accounting, being weirdos and failing to read the rules for a bit and I promise to murder you extra good. Strange incentive but seems well-received here.
