Name of Ability that you Are Applying for: The Muggle Condition
Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it):
Throughout G.’s 11 years, he has grown up independent, clever, and resourceful.
Since G.’s parents spend most of the day at work, from a young age, G. has learned to take care of himself, far more than any 11-year-old, cooking for himself, figuring out transportation in the absence of rides, and sometimes doing his own shopping. Furthermore, he has found his home in the skater community and is used to the tough chaos that comes with spending time on the streets. This has forged a high degree of wit for his age, particularly in navigating the consequences of mischief (like avoiding getting caught), evading turf wars with rival skating crews, and yes, sometimes needing to defend himself with his fists when all else fails.
G. is perhaps a bit smaller than average, albeit sturdy and athletic. His mastery over his body and environment was in no small part due to his time spent on a skateboard. But in a world of tough kids raised on the streets, G. learned that a sharp mind will almost always be a better asset than brawn alone. So he learned to use his environment to his benefit. Anything could be an improvised weapon if used creatively: his skateboard, a rock, an old towel, an empty plastic bottle – G. has used every one of those to escape a hairy situation at some point.
We could detail plenty of examples such as these, but there was one memory that G. recalls with fondness.
G. was certainly no hero. But some people, particularly the self-righteous, the vain, the arrogant, brought out the best in him. It was pizza day in the school cafeteria, and pizza was one thing G. couldn’t live without. As he was standing in line, he saw a familiar scene: an entitled preppy and full-time bully was taunting one of G.’s classmates. G. calmly noted the situation, received his pizza slice, and sat down in the back with another friend. While bragging about the cool skate tricks they were going to hit after school, out of the corner of his eye G. watched the jock taunt and bully the poor kid. It didn’t sit well with G. The kid didn't have the physical stature, nor the experience to stand up for himself. G. didn't know what came over him, but in that moment, he calmly stood up at his table at the back of the cafeteria, and hurled a cup of applesauce across the room with perfect form, hitting the bully squarely in the face. An explosion of applesauce and laughter filled the room. The applesauce-faced bully tried to hide his anger and embarrassment as he looked around the room in a frenzy to find out who did it, only to find G. standing 50 feet away, with a satisfied grin on his face.
This moment was certainly a win for G., and unsurprisingly, the beef between the two didn’t end there. But that’s a story for another day. For now, G. enjoyed the sight of the bully, face dripping applesauce, looking around the cafeteria cluelessly. G. shrugged and went back to his pizza.
This is just one example of many. Long before G. entered Hogwarts, he had been refining what magic folk might call “The Muggle Condition”.

If there was one word to describe Evelyn, it’d be “popular”. People flocked to her like birds. Boys and girls alike. At her elementary school, everyone knew the name Evelyn Summerfield. Everyone either wanted to be her friend or was her friend. And even if you were a shy person, something about Evelyn would drive you into starting a conversation with her. Her eyes would always focus on whoever was talking, listening intently to their words like she actually cared. She would listen to anyone and she would care, no matter the subject.
But to Evelyn, it wasn’t because she truly cared about everyone she met. It was because she basked in the attention. And she just so happened to know how to get it. She knew how to carve her personality and stance to make anyone like her. Listening helped her know what who liked. And with that, she could win their hearts even more. Smiling made them feel comfortable and relaxed, and that made them talk to her more.
As she got older, her methods became broader. She gained a sense of humor to make people laugh with her. She would change her personality to fit what other people liked best, but Just slightly so no one would notice. Evelyn would get up earlier to spend more time getting ready so people thought higher of her. And it technically wasn’t manipulation.
The more she did this, the more popular she got. Everybody either wanted to be her friend or stead was. There was quite literally no man left behind. Her friend group was practically the whole grade. Boys had crushes on her. Girls wanted to be her. Her mother and aunts would tell her what a pretty young lady she’ll become. Her father and uncles. would say she would become very successful in life with her social skills.
Evelyn was thriving. She was still young and didn’t know how people could react to people like her. To her, her life was amazing. She had everybody wrapped around her finger. She took pride in how liked she was. Her parents were both well-liked by everybody, so it practically ran in the family! Even if it was wrong, her mother always acted like this, so it couldn’t be blamed. Was it so wrong to want to be liked? Not to Evelyn.
Because after all, to Evelyn Summerfield, there was nothing more important than how others saw her.

For years, Chloe Wade's "Quidditch" training took place on a mud stained Muggle hockey pitch.
While her older brother was swoping through the sky, she was encased in the foam and plastic of a goalie, standing against a torrent of speeding balls. She treated every save as a substitute for the flight denied by her older brother, the words: You're too young. The swing of a stick was her sanctuary, a place to escape from her siblings even as she longed to join them.
Over the years, she began to walk with a slight limp in her step, a hand held crooked against her chest, the fruits of agonising years training to join her brother as he swum infuriatingly across the sky. And she was stuck on the ground.
Every day, she lugged the heavy, sweat-stained kit to the hockey field. The dragging of the bottom of the bag became a melody to which her life was orientated, a song which embodied the countless years spent training on the ground while her twin smashed baseballs into the sky and her other brother caught them.
And while the pain stayed, as well as the bruises she sported like trophies, she could move faster, she was stronger, than anyone else she knew. She was a panther, a hunter, disguised under a limp, a hunch, and a helmet with a mask on.
She listened to the Quidditch matches her brother described with gusto. She could imaging the wind whipping across her face, the Chasers only blurs of colour, the stands soaring past her into the sky into a soaring spiral of people, cheering, cheering: cheering for her. Her brother portrayed the story like it was real life, in astonishing detail.
The keeper lauched the ball back into the melee. They dismantled the Hawkshead Attacking Formation, they screamed upwards into the melee and came out with the Quaffle, and hurled it to the other side of the pitch. And she could the beuty of it! She could hardly express her excitement, or keep it contained as her brother glanced quizzicaly at her as she slid back off the sofa, back on, and danced around the living room in a failed effort to calm down.
She imagined the cup in her hands, being lifted towards the screaming crowd, as she reveled in the victory of winning the Qudditch cup .
And she promised to make that dream become a reality.

Well, okay. So we all know Hana is a half-blood, having both muggle and magical talent, though she only found out she's a witch when she received her Hogwarts acceptance letter with a face of confusion. So before her 11th birthday, she is very talented in muggle things, which sounds weird, cause she literally survive on those muggle things for 11 years. This is a shortened list of what muggle thing she knows how to use, and in fact, there's a lot: toasters (though she burnt her fingers quite a few times), oven, how to open a lock with a key (a legit key), how to mop a floor. And so much more, as you expected.
After her arrival to Hogwarts, she learnt magic, yep, so obvious. However, if you think she's bad at magic and fumbles with her wand, then you're so wrong and she's disappointed at you. Hana somehow is as talented in magic as in the muggle world, wow, fascinating right. She's just so good. But this doesn't mean that her muggle skills are not improving though, she still can brag about how to use a toaster to those rude purebloods.
Ok, I know that sounds really bad, but indeed of course there is just a few things that she's not as great as those posh pureblood in magic because she doesn't even know a real wand exists until she's 11. And one of things is Fight. Yes, Fighting. So basically before she went to hogwarts, but after she knows she's witch, she was walking in Diagon Alley to buy her stuff. Then there's one unknown pure blood teenage who's so rude and annoying and tries to scare her with magic just because they think she's a 'muggle'. And then Hana sensed it, before the teen could even pronounce the spell, Hana just slammed her fist on the stomach, not really hard though since she's 11 and she's not as strong yet but she learnt a few moves from the Karate experience lessons she attended someday. And that is one point where she wins magic, her super speedy fist.
And one of the things she's so proud of is unlocking a lock with just a hairpin. Don't ask her where she learnt that, she watched those rubbish youtube videos when she's 10 and somehow learnt it. Just imagine how proud she will be: Locked in some room (don't ask why), wand confiscated, and then she just came out of the room just because of a hairpin, oh, she'll brag about it forever, and use it to 'mock' those snotty pureblood. Just how great it will be.

WC: 418Campion spent his entire childhood immersed in nature. He often preferred it over the likes of people, especially with his constantly bustling household, and still does. Despite not being an avid reader, what books he does collect are about plants and Herbology (Muggle and wizarding books alike). He likes to take field guides out and identify plants, among other things. Campion takes pride in having a plethora of knowledge regarding flora perhaps more than anything else at this point in his life.
Campion has a garden at home specifically arranged for him, which his parents take care of in his absence. Here, he spends plenty of time sitting and taking care of the plants. He could tell you precisely how to effectively space and partner different non-magical plants, and happily extends this to magical plants at school when he finds the opportunity. Though he doesn't keep a significant amount of indoor plants presently, living in a dorm at school and with a 5-year-old at home, Campion takes his knowledge outdoors and applies it when he can.
Campion is the type of kid to go around planting wildflower seeds on grassy road dividers, and to bring home and press various leaves and flowers into a journal which he keeps scientifically. He finds Herbology easier to grasp than other subjects by simple connection with the material. The almost sentient aspect of magical plants intrigues him, and he finds incredible joy in working with them. Mandrakes are his particular favorite presently, the beasts.
Campion could tell you the common name, scientific name, species, and genus of most common plants in Europe, and moreso for his select favorite few: obviously including campions, for his name. It's an intellectual relationship with nature as well as an emotional one. Likewise, he takes to Herbology classes with incredible fascination and focus, regardless of if it comes easily for him. Where he struggles, he puts in the required effort to learn until he excels.
Campion is fit essentially due to his significant self-exposure to the outdoors. He's a tree climber, river wader, rock scaler, and, with joy, a plant collector. He shares his fascination with his family, who mostly listen with nods, smiles, and encouragement. It isn't often that the boy doesn't receive an updated plant encyclopedia or series of plant specimens as a gift for his birthday or Christmas, amongst other normal childhood toys and games. Knowing him, he seems to have an almost reverent attitude toward nature as a whole moreso than anything else.

Name of Ability that you Are Applying for: Calming Presence
Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it):
ReducioLily had always been a quiet person, known to spend her days alone and mostly secluded. She'd grown up between the quiet comfort of her books and the calm ambiance of the forest. This caused Lily to learn early on in her life to exist without disturbing what was around her. She would spend her days up in trees and listening rather than speaking. Her stillness would dra animals near for mere comfort. Even the wind seemed like something she could understand. Later, that sense seemed to still follow her throughout her life, which shaped how she interected with others and how they would respond to her.
At she arrived at Hogwarts, this effect of hers on others seemed to become more noticeable. During classes, Lily never eally seemed to feel panic while others around her would get frustrated. Instead she would watch, adjust and try again. And when she was partnered up with others, she woulc often without notice offer a quiet reassurance that seemed to soothe her fellow classmates. This showed her that a calm correction of simple gesture seemed to hold more power than urgency ever would.
Without realizing it, Lily had created a safe space where mistakes didn't feel like too much to handle. This became cleared over time, especially during lessons. There were times when her peers seemed stressed or overwhelmed and as she helped out or just stood next to them, they would start to focus better. Lily never really tried to get people's attention, but her presence seemed to make people less nervous and making it easier to focus on what was important. This made her presence helpful and seeked out more.
The effect of her presence extended beyond the classroom, with her cat, Saffron, Lily noticed the same patterns. He would respond to her quiet consistency more than her commands. Around her, he was quite calm and attentive. That connections seemed to reinforce something Lily had always felt but never put a label on. It was a calmness that could influence many.
Lily was a comforting person to be around. When she stood beside a friend in a moment or said something nice before they did something hard it made them feel better. She knew that being there for others made them feel more grounded. It also made her feel good, about herself. Lily loved making people happy and helping them out. If she could do that by being there that was great. When Lily was around she did not overwhelm people. Instead she helped them think clearly and feel more at ease. Lily was happy that her presence could do that for people.
Lily would embrace this gift, thrilled at its helpfulness. Where others bring intensity, Lily offered balance. And with it a calming presence.

James Kenrick Adams was careful with magic because he knew that really nice things can hurt you if you are not careful. He learned this when he was very young.
Growing up in London with his father, John Jacobson Adams meant that James was around magic all the time. He did not have to wait to get a letter from Hogwarts to know about magic. Their house was very old and quiet. It was full of books. James was allowed to touch the books and read them. While other kids were playing outside James would sit on the floor. Read about magic for hours. He would read about spells that he could not do yet and about witches and wizards who got into trouble because they were not patient.
Something bad happened to James when he was seven years old. While accompanying his father during the investigation of a dangerous cursed magical object, James was caught in a magical backlash that permanently destroyed the ring finger on his right hand. John protected him from the worst of the curse and lost the pinky finger on his own left hand in the process. Both were taken to St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, but the curse damage could not be completely reversed. After that James thought about moving and doing things differently.
James found that some wand movements were really tough after what happened. So he did not try to do them instead he did them slower and made sure they were just right. He kept doing the movements over for hours until he got them exactly right. Every time he moved his wand it was, for a reason. He said every word of the spell carefully. When he made a mistake it really bothered him not because he was afraid of what others would think. Because it reminded him that things can go wrong very quickly.
As time went on James started to do spells in a careful way and it became a big part of who he is. He started to do things that other students would notice away. James stops for a moment before he casts a spell. He changes how he holds his wand without thinking about it. He never does spells fast even when things are really tough. While some people might just do things by feeling or instinct James does things in a consistent and careful way.
Ironically when hes not doing magic he seems playful and not serious at all. He always jokes around acts super dramatic with his friends and hides his worries behind his humor and confidence.. The minute he picks up a wand it's, like a switch flips. He becomes totally focused and deliberate, almost like hes dancing.
James doesn't think of spellcasting as throwing magic around and hoping for the best. For him magic is a deal that requires discipline and respect. After years of practicing, adjusting and being patient hes become someone who casts spells that rarely go wrong because he just won't cast them if hes not sure they're going to work.

- In your application, you mention James losing a finger. I reviewed your pending Index Registration and saw that it needs elaboration there as well. Please clarify that here based on the note left under your Index Application regarding the matter:
For the attack, why wasn't James's father able to prevent the attack with magic? Also medical magical can easily cure normal wounds, so neither James nor his father would lose a finger. Please add more detail to this altercation.- Please make it clear that although it may have seemed although James' FIOM was more controlled than that of some others, he did not actually control it as it was accidental.
Edited @Helen Doukas
STATUS: Pending, Meiyu, 17th May
- As per the note in your index registration here, it would not be possible for James to lose his finger and not receive any medical care for it. Before your ability application can be approved, this would need to be addressed.
Edited @Meiyu Xiang
STATUS: Pending, Elena, 22nd May
- Thank you for working with us and making the edits requested! The rest of your application looks good, I would simply ask that you add / precise what happens with James' finger, following your approved index application storyline here. Once that is done, we will be able to validate you.

I’ve been under pressure my entire life. From trying to please my parents to starring on West End. I’ve always felt the need to be prefect. It was fear of failing people. Besides, compared to my chaotic sister, I was the prefect one with good grades. On one occasion my sister was being told off for getting an C on her school report. However the first quarter, year 4, kreports weren’t going out for a week. Make them feel good about you. You can do this for Olive, you have to make up for her. Even at age 8 I felt that I needed to make up for my younger sister. So I checked over my work 10 times that night to make sure I didn’t make a single mistake. I felt very proud because there were none mistakes. I was just scared of failing people. Letting people down was an insecurity of mine and it felt quite weird. At that time I was also starting my run as Matilda, which leads me to West End. I felt especially lots of pressure on West End. People were paying some money to see me and that makes me very nervous about each performance. What if I messed up? That brings me back to the night before my first performance of Matilda. I got home from school, did my homework quickly. Ten minutes for the work 20 minutes to make sure everything was perfect. Then I grabbed the thick script with all my notes and coreo. I sat there for hours, until 11pm practicing. Forward to the next day, during breaks I reread the script over and over. Making sure I wouldn’t forget anything. On West End, they don’t forcefully make you perfect. They just told me to keep going if I made a mistake. That wasn’t going to fly with me. Thank gosh that night I didn’t mess up. When I was under the table before my entrance in “Miracle?” I was worried that I wasn’t center stage enough. Even last year at school. I was terrified of people seeing me fail. Every night I read the lesson plans over and over and practiced answers to questions. Before I left for lessons every morning, I triple checked my bag. During lessons if my handwriting was messy? I either erased the word or started the notes all over. It was scary to think that people thought I wasn’t good enough. It was almost nerve wracking. I don’t think that it will stop soon…

You are not able to apply for an ability in advance to the year you applying it to be for. You will therefore need to wait until graduation to post this again.

Althought being extroverted and even sometimes silly in groups, she was always described as a focused person. She is that type of person that tries again and again, and althought not being that very strong and extremely thin girl, when She has difficulty to sleep, she would stay some time on plank on top of her bed. Her records kept increasing untill the time that she could handle it was incredible. Sometimes she notices things that no other had noticed yet, that isn't something rate. Being random is actualy a ramification of being attentive, as her comments described as 'random' often are observations, either in flavour, sounds or her vision.
Speaking of vision, Alex always had a one hundred percent one. She sees clearly since she was born. She doesn't know if other people could do that, but she could blur parts of her sight and turn the other parts more clear.
When she was younger, she played with her friends with "superpowers". Every one had just one, and her was Seismic Sense. It was basicaly feeling other's moovements without looking at them. Those powers on general were more or less realistic, as, for example, Alex's power could be trained based on air movements and sharpening of her senses. As well as what happened with the plank, she passed hours of her life training to feel the wind and react quickly to things: normaly something moving, like when someone throws something at her, it is easy to grab it. It was surprising how good she was playing that, as she basicaly had the "power". Justin, one of her siblings, found that more surprising than any other person found it, so Alex started to teach him step by step. To train her ability, she often asked someone to move around, while she was with her eyes closed pointing at the direction that she thought that the person was. The Times when she failed were considered unusual, rare.
She always lived in the same house, a big and cozy one, though without much windows. The light was escarce, remembering old medieval castles, what her brother Harry highlighted quite often. She often trained her "power" inside that building and that someway sharpened her skills even more. Doing this was easily her best talent and if not, it wouldn't be far from the first place.
Her parents told her several times that it wasn't really a power and of course she knew that, but she liked to view it as one superpower or something similar. In kids' eyes, it looks cooler.
With all these facts that built a whole new skill combined, Alex may deserve to be described as someone with Blindvision.

@Akinyi Odera check out it now, I wrote the penultimate paragrapph.STATUS: Pending, Akinyi, May 12th, 2026
- You continuously use the word “power.” Please clarify what you are referring to—the supposed powers Alex has in the children’s game? Or the Blindvision ability? Please keep in mind that these abilities are not superpowers, ensure you aren’t referring to them as such!

Permission to mention Colin and Liam was granted by @Colin McCoire (Thanks Col)
Ever since Jun was old enough to walk, she has been involved in physical activities such as Horse riding, Archery, Fencing, Tennis and Swimming or even Ballet and Ice Skating. Those do not simply require the ability to move well, keep balance and focus, some also require the ability to evade. In Horse riding that evasion might mean evading a low hanging branch while galloping through the woods, while in Ballet one might evade the swinging arms or legs of someone who’s coordination is not quite as stable.
However, where evading was especially important, was fencing, „playing“ or rather running from her childhood friend and of course when Saburo (Jun‘s father) taught her how to play Quidditch.
Jun learned early on that one does not want to come in the way of a pointy blade while fencing. While whichever weapon was trained with, Epee, Foil or Saber, always had a protective piece of rubber on the tip, the goal was not to get tapped or touched by it in any way. Lysander, the child’s fencing tutor and trainer, was in no means a cruel man but whenever he did manage to tap Jun out, she had to do push ups or squats in order to learn. In the beginning, the young girl was quite annoyed by it but soon realized that it did in fact help. She began to be able to avoid and evade any attacks much better, became more vigilant and focused, more aware of her surroundings. Jun learned to duck faster, to move out of the way when her trainer went in for attack and to make those evasions almost look like they were graceful.
This continued on in Quidditch with her father, as getting hit by a bludger - even a toy one - was not the most comfortable of experience.
What Jun did not learn at home, was to avoid spells and attacks but this seemed to come naturally to her. When being trained to avoid and evade quite this many different possibilities of attacks, others missteps or sudden branches in the woods, evading began to come naturally to Jun.
Even when that meant walking through the halls of Hogwarts and having to jump apart due to two particularly chaotic blonde twins. This became quite the task throughout her first year and even into her second year. Colin and Liam were everywhere and if one didn’t evade, well the cool stone floor and walls of Hogwarts were certainly something you could look at from very close up with the help of those two racing whirlwinds.
