A lot of things this time of year are going to give you "warm fuzzy feelings." Traditions, family, hot chocolate (in no particular order). And that's great. That's why we have Christmas break, to sit in the living room with a Christmas tree lit watching a Home Alone marathon with our family. (There are six now, SIX!) To eat a candlelight dinner of either a turkey or a frozen pizza, and to watch the joy on our family's faces as they open presents. And most importantly, to sleep in. Definitely the most important. All of these things give you a warm fuzzy feeling. All of these things make you happy.

Make sure you spend that time, do those things, and create those memories.

But I would encourage you to remember the true meaning of Christmas. Open your Bible, and read the Christmas story. If you are able, go to a church service, and sing those songs with your congregation. Join your brothers and sisters in Christ in celebration and worship.

Remember that even though curling up with hot cocoa by a fire can give you a warm fuzzy feeling, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16. Christmas is a celebration of our Father's gift to us and our Messiah's birth. And I don't know about you, but I'll take eternal life over a mug of hot chocolate any day. I'll take true joy over a warm fuzzy feeling any day (although with joy, that warm fuzzy feeling rarely goes away, rather it turns into this thing called feeling loved:)

Traditions of Christmas will make you happy, but the reason for Christmas can bring you true joy.
