Character Backstory: Ellie grew up with her mom and dad but was always around her cousins, aunts and uncles. Whenever they would come over her cousins would play with magic around her. Ellie grew up in a household where family is literally everything and everyone in her family was really supportive of her.
During these gatherings she loved smelling and watching her mom “cook”. Her mom would make everyone of age add some cooking spells to the dinner. Ellie would enjoy tasting everything her family created especially her uncle Henry's who made up different flavors for Bertie Bott's and always put in something different.
Whenever Ellie was feeling sad or had a particularly bad day her mom would always make her smile with the tickling charm and Ellie would feel better.
As a young kid Ellie was always crafty and enjoyed turning a piece of paper into different origami animals. Once she had made these animals she would ask her mom to make them alive. Ellie's mom would cast a charm on them, making them act like real animals. Ellie also enjoyed dancing so when she was young she was signed up for dance class. To her dancing was the simplest form of magic. On top of that Ellie plays an instrument (Viola). Ellie enjoys attempting to play her instrument a dance at the same time with some near saves of her almost breaking her instrument.
As a kid Ellie's mom wanted her to be famililar with magic and would cast a bunch of charms in front of her and ask her what they where. Her mom would demonstrate the spells and action and Ellie would guess what they where.

First Instance of Magic: For instance of magic: Her first accrance of magic was when she was three. She was trying to make a paper airplane but it wasn’t working. So she looked at the sheet of paper and a paper airplane appeared. She was confused so her mom pulled her over and said to her “you are a witch just like me and your cousins, uncles, aunts. Ellie looked up at her mom and started jumping up and down and asking when she could do the spells her cousins do. Her mom responded with a laugh.

Hello Ellie, thank you for making those edits. In the future, please do not remove any text inside the mod notes from our index team. There's just a few more things that you have missed that need to be corrected before I can approve your registration:
- Please add a link to your characters encyclopedia page under the "Link to the character page" section in the form. I can see in the code of your post that you have tried, which is great but it's not working at the moment. Feel free to owl me if you are unsure of how to fix it
- Your encylopedia page is missing its trunk post, which is a post used to store your characters stats, as well as any spells, potions or abilities your character gains. Feel free to check out my trunk if you are confused about what one looks like, although it does not need to be fancy at all as long as it contains all the required information, and you can always make it fancy later!
- In your backstory, you mention Ellie attending a muggle school before coming to Hogwarts. Because Ellie is a wizard born, it is extremely unlikely she would have attended a muggle school because of the statue of secrecy (the thing keeping muggles from finding out about wizards!). Most wizarding children get homeschooled by their family or tutored in small groups
STATUS: Pending, Lesmana, 15 April
Reason for Pending:
1. You need more explaining if you still want your character to attend muggle school. As stated from the review above, it's very unlikely for wizard-born to go to Muggle School. Wizard-born is raised in a completely magical household with little to no contact with the Muggle world. Going to a muggle school because her mom thought it would be good for her would indicate that she's unaware of the law and reckless since she sent her daughter to an unfamiliar place where the custom is very different. Read our rule about blood status here.
Suggestion:1) Change her education to be in the wizarding community. It can be through homeschool or community-driven school for young wizards that prepares them for schools like Hogwarts.2. Still related to your character as a wizard-born, in the First Instance of Accidental Magic, it's unlikely for a muggle to live in the wizarding/magical neighborhood. The presence of Mrs. Lacamore is confusing. If she's really important to your story, please explain why is she's there. If not, I suggest you to delete it.
2) If you still want it, explain more about her family background and how it's possible for her to enter muggle school. Remember that wizards access to muggle environment is very limited (electronic, vehicle, communication, document identification.)
3. Since you still have some editing to do, make sure that what you have written in the information in this application and in your encyclopedia page must be the same.
Another note:
1. While I can make a basic trunk for you, I can't input the potions or spells that you claim here. You need to go to Encyclopedia Update Form after your index registration approved to claim them so we have papertrail about what spells and potions that you have claimed.

Aedan was born on October 10, 2012, to two wizarding parents, Cecht and Muireann, joining the family tree of a large pure-blood family that has lived for generations in Dundalk, Ireland. At 11, he is the heir to the family, being the eldest of twins, Cillian and Ronan. In fact, he has an older brother, Oisín, but he fled the family after a disagreement with the patriarch about his love for a Muggle. The three younger brothers haven't seen him for a year, although they receive letters through their mother. His father, an austere man, attached to old customs and a great believer in appearances, has always been cold to the boy, seeing more hope in him than in his brother, who is 9 years older than him. Conversely, he is very attached to his mother, who is much more maternal and loving than her husband. Of a calm temperament, she is nevertheless very strict on the codes of good conduct, seeking to ensure that her boys are perfectly prepared for entry into high society in order to prosper as the great lineage to which they belong should.
The young boy lives in a luxurious mansion with a slightly dark appearance due to the choice of colors in the decoration, making the different rooms appear cold. There are few objects, the family not wanting to clutter themselves with unnecessary things, always impeccably clean and tidy. However, although the interior is not very warm, the large prosperous garden reveals a lake, a forest present in the estate as well as a training camp to improve with models.

Confirmation that Aedan was indeed a wizard came the day after his sixth birthday. After complaining that the new rules his father had ordered were too strict, he stood up straight, his little fists clenched.
"A Fitzgerald doesn't complain. A Fitzgerald doesn't falter."
His father, Cecht's, voice had sounded harsh and unyielding. It wasn't a lesson, it was an order. Aedan wanted to respond, to scream that it wasn't fair. That he was just a child, that he was cold, that he didn't want to spend hours rehearsing why he had to follow so many rules... Ready to cry, holding back his tears so as not to falter, a gust of wind swirled around the two wizards when no wind had been present before.

Since I was little, I grew up in a wizarding family with fairly strict ambitions and criteria for approval. My entire family, for generations, has ended up in Slytherin, looking askance at other houses. There's no room for failure or difference, unfortunately, which is why Oisín, my older brother, was quickly disowned by the family. Even when he was sorted into Hufflepuff, it was obvious to everyone, especially my father and grandparents, that he was doomed to failure, lazy, and too nice. I was still too young to understand, but I think I'm a little different from my family. That doesn't bother me. As long as he's happy, I don't mind. If he doesn't want to follow the family path, I don't consider him a failure.
With this goal of validation in mind, I have always arranged to be the perfect child, the perfect grandson and finally the perfect heir. In truth I am far from perfect but I pretend to make my family proud, I know how important it is to keep our family at the top in the elitist witch society, I know that it must be preserved because it has a great history behind it. There are many great wizards and I promised myself to prosper the lineage by becoming in turn a great wizard and a great man capable of one day leading the family without destroying everything that was built by my ancestors.
I must say that luck was with me, in fact in my family being Parselmouth is proof that one is destined to succeed, there are at least two of my family who are and it shows that they have the ability to be able to lead the family. My grandfather was the last in title until I discovered that I was too, thus making my father proud although he is jealous that he could not obtain this ability which made us the pride of the family.
I discovered it quite early, I was five years old when a snake, all that was most common, was to enter the manor while one of the doors was open. I have never been afraid of animals, snakes included, so naturally, as I usually did with all sorts of insects that I came across or with the family owls, I began to speak to him without waiting for a particular answer, I told myself that in any case he would not understand. It was then that I was surprised to see that after asking him if he had gotten lost to find himself in a habitat so unnatural for him, he answered me as if nothing had happened. After his approval, I was able to carry him outside without knowing at that moment that I had just proven that I was the worthy heir of the Fitzgerald family, a family whose crest included a snake.
It was only when I saw my parents' delighted faces after releasing him and after they hugged me while being able to observe my brother's disgusted face that I understood that I had just done something good, without really being able to know why. Today I know, I know the importance for the family to hope with younger people to prosper this capacity. I still don't know why it is so important but if it is for grandfather, I must not ask myself more questions than that. Since that day I officially replaced Oisín in the succession but I did not want it and even if I know that deep down he is a little jealous because he did not want to flee the family, having done it out of obligation, I keep a good contact with him, I am his little brother, I will always see him as an example, I will never look down on him.

Katrina is a half-blood. Her mother, Lily Hallo-Maeve, is a Half-blood Wizard and her father, Nick Maeve, is a muggle. She has an annoying older brother in Year 3 named James Maeve. She was homeschooled by both her parents in basic wizarding and muggle studies. She values love and friendship most of all, she believes being kind and loyal is the best way to live. She wants to be a person others can go to for help and advice, a leader, a supporter and a friend.
Katrina Maeve is a bit socially awkward at first, but after a while, she gets comfortable with the situation and people around her. She can be very opinionated, and with her temper, it could cause minor arguments, especially with her brother. She panics, overthinks and can let her temper rise. Katrina may be smart, but she's oblivious to a lot; her feelings and wants included. But she lets those thoughts out, drawing out what she feels; her father liked to draw in his free time, so he taught her some tricks. Katrina also believes music is 'a window to the soul'; she loves music and uses it to help sort through emotions, get through tough days, or just live life to the fullest with amazing songs. She learned violin from the internet and the drums from James.
Katrina loves experiencing new things and sharing what she loves with others. This is why Katrina loved playing with the other kids her age in London. She also loves talking about the latest adventures she reads about, because book and movie characters know how to take risks to feel alive. She also dreams of making her own stories, her own worlds, characters and songs that other people could enjoy, even if James says that's stupid nerd stuff.

Character name (First and last name): Pythia Vesper
School Year or Adult Level: First
Link to the character page: here
Character statistics: Stamina: 3 | Evasion: 5 | Strength: 3 | Wisdom: 9 | ArcPower: 6 | Accuracy: 4
Character Special Race/Talent: Seer
Special Race Application:
ReducioThe Vesper clan is notorious for producing powerful Seers every three generations without fail. In fact, its members claim that the family’s progenitor served as an Oracle of Delphi back in Ancient Greece. Throughout the centuries, the Vespers would go on to become priests and priestesses, oracles and prophets, aiding any soul in need, and thus earning a revered reputation from both wizards and Muggles alike.
Although virtually every pureblood house seeks to maintain its status by only allowing marriage with other purebloods, the Vespers go one step beyond by preferring lineages with other Seers or special abilities such as Legilimens to keep their prised gift within the family. As a result, even those members not possessed of the Inner Eye have highly attuned intuitions and are more inclined towards the art of divination than the average wizard.
The family is attentive to the passing down of the gift, calculating generations between each Seer to better anticipate the next one. Normally, only the firstborn of the entire age group inherits the Sight, and to honour the powerful wizards and witches that came before them, they are traditionally named either Pythia or Aristander based on their gender. It is therefore easy to conclude that the last Seer was born exactly three generations ago, making this Pythia the successor.
Nonetheless, her abilities are often doubted by her own relatives. Although it is rare for a Seer to exhibit signs of the Inner Eye prior to early adolescence, her family members are still concerned about what looks like a lack of clairvoyant prowess. Whilst some, like her mother, insist that she is simply a late bloomer, others assert that she is a lost cause.
What happens in reality, however, is Pythia’s own mind getting in her way. Plagued with anxious thoughts, it is hard for her to differentiate between what might be genuine intuition and mundane worries. Trying to battle her spiralling thoughts and refusing to give them any credit, she often goes against her instinct, which lands her in unpleasant situations. Thus, instead of helping her, her intuition does the complete opposite, making her appear as “blind” when it comes to divination.
Even if both Pythia and her family act sceptical towards her gut feeling, there have recently been instances of what could be considered as her Inner Eye showing through. One morning, as her father Iamus prepared to leave for work as usual, Pythia suddenly felt a wave of dread wash over and consume her completely. As she pleaded for him to stay home for the day, Iamus dismissed her every time, claiming that she was “far too old to act so clingy”. When she asked him to use the Floo network or apparate instead, he accused her of wanting to “sneak away and use the broomstick in secret”. The usually meek Pythia did not hesitate to stand her ground this time. The argument seemed to stretch on and on, but by the time it was finished, a great storm began to stir outside. It was terrific: the sky that was clear blue only a moment ago was now cast dark grey, the rumble of raindrops hitting the ground felt almost deafening, and even a few trees nearby the Vesper estate were struck by lightning. Realising that had he decided to fly to work that day he would be severely injured, if not dead, Iamus apologised to Pythia. From that day on, she began receiving more support from her parents in her abilities as a future Seer.
Character Backstory:
ReducioThe House of Vesper is an ancient wizarding family with roots in Ancient Greece. At the dawn of their dynasty, they were sympathetic towards Muggles, offering them help and working alongside them, yet with the beginning of the witch hunts, they were forced to flee. Thus, they found themselves in England and quickly integrated into the British Wizarding society. The family’s elders often use this story to justify their hostility towards Muggles and blood-supremacist ideologies. Although many centuries have passed since the clan's relocation, the Vespers are still incredibly tenacious about their classical heritage.
Being the only child of her father and therefore unable to pass on the family name as a witch, Pythia was put under great pressure from her family members, some going as far as calling her a disappointment. Growing up in an already haughty and conservative household like that, Pythia’s childhood was a gilded cage, where despite the luxury surrounding her, she felt like an outsider. Her only source of affection is her grandmother, who always praises her by saying how her “little Pythia is of such great pith”.
Such hostility, however, only inspired Pythia to prove her relatives wrong. After a particularly bad dressing-down by her mother, she, in tears, promised herself to become the Minister of Magic in the future. She perused the manor’s extensive library and excelled in her homeschooling, yet that quickly led her to prefer solitude over the company of her peers. Her parents attempted to change that and often brought her along to various pureblood outings, yet talking to other aristocratic children only made her feel even more alienated. Even if she sees Hogwarts as an opportunity to become the greatest, she secretly yearns to find a community and connections she never had.
First Instance of Magic:
ReducioWhen she was five, the Vespers hosted a family in their manor for dinner. Their son, a boy only a few years older than Pythia, acted much like a bully, endlessly teasing and mocking her. Already frustrated, the young girl snapped when he forcefully snatched her favourite toy. As she shot all the mean words a five-year-old could know at him, the metal dragon figure began heating up until it melted, burning the boy’s palms. Naturally, this caused much anger from his parents and a scandal that hers barely managed to preempt. “Well, at least we know she’s not a Squib,” her grandfather sneered as the rest of the family sat quietly unamused later that night.

Character Backstory:ReducioEira's fascination with queer things had never troubled her parents, though she never understood why her mum particularly flinch at an innocent question about her side of the family. The Von Thaines were well-known by other pure-blood families who had radical beliefs (according to Emile at least) and migrated from Germany to Scotland in the 1900's and based on the conversations she had heard in passing from other relatives (eavesdropping is a poor habit to develop), it seems that her mum has a row with her family that had been going on before she was even born as they were, ALLEGEDLY, practicing the dark arts.
So when she started hearing odd words muttering when spending time at the gardens, Eira feared that she had become mad. There are certain times she could hear it by the fountain, sometimes by the hedges, and it never failed to make the child nervous. Once, she had asked Mitzy if she could hear it as well, but the house elf just stared at her with rounded, alert eyes and squeaked that 'Young Miss must be tired!' and herded her back to the house.
Scared yet determined to find who or what was hiding in their gardens, she trod to the tall grass and listened for the wayward sound. There was a rustling by the potted flowers her mum fussily cared for, she gasped when a grey snake slithered from the hedge towards a pot to hide.
As quick as a seeker catching a snitch, she picked it up by the tail and yelped when a potent garlic-smelling odor, and suddenly fell limp. Horror awash her as she palmed the little snake and felt tears gather. She didn't mean to kill it, she just wanted to know if it's the one making the eerie sounds.
"I'm so sorry! Oh- I don't know what to do. Mum's not back from work yet... oh, please wake up!" she cried, tears streaming down her face as she cupped the snake near despite the foul smell exiting its body.
After a few seconds though, the snake suddenly jerked and cautiously flipped on its belly, raising its head with a distinct yellow band around it and stared at her. It flicked its tongue several times before a raspy voice echoed in her head
"You are a speaker?"
There was a distinct lilt in the S and as though it was the most natural thing in the world, Eira replied.
"Oh! Um, yes. Wow, I never knew snakes could speak!" she said happily, "I'm so sorry for dragging you without permission."
The snake regarded her longer before it shifted its attention towards the house's direction-
"Never had seen a speaker before, heard from others while trying to have eggs. This one asks to be freed."
The snake's words made Eira pause. Speaker? She knew about magizoologists but she didn't know if they used spells to talk to magical animals, or normal ones. Gingerly, she placed the snake back in the grass, and to her amazement, the snake didn't flee but rather lifted its head towards her and let its body circle around it.
"Will I ever see you again?" Eira asks.
"After the great sleep" it replied, "The water near the nest is full of sustenance." Ah, so that's why the toads her mum needed for potion making are steadily declining.
Eira sat on the grass and tucked her knees to her chest, not minding that her favorite pink dress will have grass stains and soil on it. "Do you have a name?"
"We have no need for those. But if speaker needs it, this one allows a name to be given"
"Ok, then I will call you Circe!"
The whole afternoon, Eira and Circe talked until twilight with Mitzy popping in the gardens to fetch the heiress. Eira reluctantly said her farewells to the snake and walked into the house. Normally, she would excitedly share it wth her parents but for now, it's a secret between her and her new friend.
First Instance of Magic:ReducioLoved and treasured, Eira had led a charmed life by her parents who doted on their little princess of whom, by some miracle, grew into an independent girl that wasn't spoiled rotten but rather possessed a one-track mind which can cause a bit of a headache with the family's house-elves.
She was taught by several tutors about proper etiquette and manner of high society (her dad was rather lax on those subjects but her mum insisted that it's a must) and was lucky to have grown up in a magical household. However, her curious mind also craved to learn about Muggles and their way of life. But even when she have shown impressive manners and friendly demeanor, some of the members of the Cravensworth clan, particularly her cousins, sees it as a ruse, causing her to be isolated in family reunions.
Becaue of this, she enjoyed the company of books and an odd garden snake or two in the gardens, Eira also have several childhood friends whose parents were acquaintaces with her own though recently they are now in less contact as Anna Palmera had moved to the US and will attend Ilvemorny and Emile Beauregard proudly announced that his mum decided to send him to Beauxbatons instead. The news has disheartened the girl, but Eira put on a brave front and decided to make even more friends once she attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
ReducioEira's first instance of magic occurred when her mum decided that her daughter should, at the very least, be exposed to the wonderful world of magical plants and their uses in potions.
Except the six-year-old found plants and potions dreadfully boring.
Still, she followed her mum into Mrs. Bluebelle's massive greenhouse with the promise of an ice cream cone after. The old lady tittered around, her long silver hair piled into a massive bun that almost doubled her height, with a poofy magenta robe camouflaged by the numerous potted plants and flowers that hung on the right side of the enclosure.
Normally, Eira would stand by her mother and keep her hands to herself, but the boredom with the two women's talks about draughts and salves threatened a yawn to escape her, and she slipped to the other side of the greenhouse where a potted plant of the most disgusting kind sat next to the daisies.
The hideous plant covered with boils looked so ominous, especially as it started to pulsate in certain rhythms. It sounded barmy, but the child's imagination was rampant and in one incredibly brave (and foolish) choice, she reached out to poke at it.
Within a few moments, one of the boils popped and a stream of sickly green fluid flew towards her. With a yell, Eira closed her eyes and heard the adults gasp at the same time, bracing herself to be covered with foul-smelling goo.
Instead, she felt something chilly and soft caress her face before it popped. Cautiously, she opened her eyes and saw a steady jet of colorful bubbles seep from the plant and lazily fly in her direction.
Mrs. Bluebelle screeched about her poor plant while her mum was a mixture of relief, anger, and happiness as Eira had shown her first instance of magic-
And how Eira got herself banned from Mrs. Bluebelle's greenhouse from then on.

Background
Reducio
Before becoming a Hogwarts student Charles spent his time in a small English town with developed properties and modern facilities located all around it. Urban activity near his home provided him interesting experiences but he frequently wished to explore the extraordinary reality which existed between ordinary and magical worlds. The sole status of his childhood helped him grow tighter bonds with his family members. The time Charles spent with his grandparents who told magical stories about their own adventures expanded his imagination because of their supportive parents.
His muggle-born mother displayed amazing abilities when it came to making potions. Through her brewing skills she demonstrated both artistic competence and the ability to make practical potions that served the household needs. Charles learned from his mother about potion accuracy through basic learning that differently placed ingredients would significantly impact potion results. By nature a wizard his father belonged to the magical world where he used his historical expertise to research magical artifacts alongside ancient spells. The magical tales his father shared about wizarding world history made Charles intensely curious about discovering more about both his family history and other mysteries outside their modest town.
The cozy loving conditions at his home were pleasant yet he continuously desired more exciting experiences and opportunities outside of his familiar surroundings. The entryway into magic captured his imagination so that each magical tale made his dreams for that world expand further. Receiving admission to Hogwarts School at age 11 shaped up as his life's turning point toward achieving extraordinary goals. His anticipation grew because he would finally join a boarding school where he could meet other students who enjoyed learning magic along with him.

Due to his curiosity, he built a knack for getting into trouble by traversing over limits. So it was expected to find other ways to win in competitions. His first moment of underage magic was when he was at the tender age of 7 and his friends were competing in a paper boat race in their local pond. It was a close race between one of his friend's boats, Sheldon and his who was just lagging. Charles glared, fixated on his boat, strenuously, and his eyes throbbed. To his surprise his boat started to hover above the streaks of water, gently and with an ideal pace went over the finish line. All of them gasped as Charle's boat with supple intent relaxed onto the water's surface. This moment was his realisation that he had a unique ability to cause movement without contact.

Sadie's family is poor. Dirt poor. Poverty-stricken. However one wants to describe it, in terms of money? They have no money.
That wasn't always the case. Sadie's grandparents, secretly magical, were quite successful, raising a small fortune for their family, which, even divided amongst their children, resulted in a sizeable inheritance. Sadie's parents, unlike her aunts and uncles, squandered it.
At first, it was well-meaning squandering. A family vacation on occasion, buying a large family house on the coast, and even buying a car. But then, the question of 'more' arose more and more often.
'What if we could double our fortune?' Sadie's mother had insisted.
Gambling is risky business best avoided. Before long, a family with a sizeable house, a nice car, and a generous savings account became a family with a moderate house, a weathered car that was once nice, and an empty bank account.
Suddenly, clothes became a shared commodity. Parents went hungry so that children could eat. Every sibling got through primary school and secondary school as ends met with frayed edges.
Comfort was a luxury that couldn't always be afforded, but when older children could take care of younger children while the parents worked, and school supplies and clothing could be shared amongst the siblings, things always worked out, if not neatly.
Sadie was the first of four children to be capable of magic. Her father was a Squib, after all, so he had never even bothered telling his wife about magic's existence, let alone the possibility that their children could carry on the magical bloodline of his father. Sadie's admittance to Hogwarts was not only a surprise, but a sower of the seed of worry to her parents. Now those books which Sadie's older siblings had passed down for years were not only outdated, but completely worthless. She needed new supplies. New clothes. New everything.
She got what she needed, of course, but she wasn't blind to the way her parents had to do without to make it happen. She overheard many conversations late at night about loans and borrowing money that filled her chest with burning shame and guilt for the magic she was apparently capable of.
The first time she tried on the brand new robes from Madam Malkin's, the soft fabric felt unbearably heavy on her shoulders. The wooden wand from Ollivander's felt like solid gold in her hands. She held the books from Flourish and Blotts to her chest as a mother would hold a child.
Sadie felt dirty. Underserving. After all, why would she deserve such pristine supplies when her siblings were wearing school uniforms that had more patches than their roof?
She swore that she would never forget that feeling of shame and guilt, and she would, one way or another, become a successful witch and bring her family the financial stability they deserved.

For some children, breaking a window with a ball is a rite of passage. The child must grapple with the urge to hide their mistake, but the knowledge that it cannot truly be hidden, and they must come clean.
Sadie, like many children, was throwing a ball with her younger brother. She was a mere eight years old at the time, and her brother was going on six. They were throwing the ball in the yard, laughing as they found more and more creative ways to modify such a simple game.
Her brother threw the ball with his eyes closed. Then Sadie threw the ball under her leg, eliciting a laugh from her brother. This game evolved and evolved until, at last, Sadie tried throwing the ball to her brother between her legs, with her eyes closed, and her back turned. He laughed, as usual, but Sadie could never have possibly aimed the ball well with such a ridiculous throw.
The sound of glass shattering sobered Sadie right up from the intoxication of fun, and her laughter morphed to absolute horror as she saw the broken window on their house.
Even at eight, Sadie understood that their family couldn't afford to fix a broken window, and winter was coming up, so she knew her parents would be angry, disappointed, and, above all else, worried.
Sadie cried and begged her older siblings to help her fix it, but none of them knew how, if it was even possible. In the end, Sadie duct taped a blanket over the window with the intention of telling her parents the truth when they returned home from work.
She tearfully explained that the window was broken as soon as they walked in the door, but, miraculously, when she pulled the blanket off the window, the window was whole once more. Her parents laughed and praised her imagination, while her little brother swore to never tell anyone, thinking she had super powers.

Once upon a time, in the not-necessarily-so-mystical lands of Slavic Eurasia, an Irishman was woefully out of place, brandishing little but a pack of food, some warm-enough-to-survive clothes, and a magical wand. There were no cities for many miles, and his only company was the beasts and the trees long since dead in the frigid winter.
Why was such a man here, of all places, despite his own suffering?
Well, like many stories worth telling, this is a story of love. The Irishman's name was Diarmait, a historic name that carried much significance. Unfortunately for today's Diarmait, his life was far less significant. He was a lover of the arts and all things beauty, but he held no political power and no feats that would sway the masses. So, naturally, when he fell in love with a local girl in his little Irish town, he had to find a way to impress her.
"Lass, would you allow me to call on you if I could bring you a trophy from a great beast?" he asked after months of attempting to court the girl.
Intrigued, the young witch agreed, and Diarmait went to the one place he could think of to find a great beast to slay in the name of his love: the far east of Europe, where continents met and cultures blended together, despite the inhospitable weather and land.
Diarmait found a beast after weeks of wondering in the snow. It was a magical beast, that much was certain. His spells had no effect on the beast directly, and it was only through sheer cunning that he managed to defeat it after a multiple-day's struggle. When he finally loomed over the beast's defeated body, the Irishman severed a single horn as a trophy for his beloved back in Ireland.
It was only then that another creature revealed itself to him: a Veela, striking in beauty, had been watching him in his fight with the beast, and she was fascinated by him, this man of beauty and art who'd been willing to embrace combat and war for a woman he loved. Though she was entrancing, Diarmait managed to focus on his true love back home and shrug off her charms.
Luckily for him, the Veela he encountered was an outlier compared to the rest of her kind. She was able to hold back the rage that might have overcome any other Veela at his rejection, and simply allowed him to leave, with a promise that he would be back.
She was right. When Diarmait returned home, the girl he'd long pined for was married to another man. A man who'd showered her with wealth and doting gifts signifying his undying love. Heartbroken, Diarmait left Ireland and traveled once more to the tundra of the far Northeast, where he'd encountered the Veela. He knew not why he had chosen to return to her, but he knew that he had no love for Ireland at the moment.
The Veela, who was called Mila, listened to his tale, and even shared her own tale of being an outcast among her own people. Mila the Vila and Diarmait connected at once, and, within a year of living together in the Slavic lands, Mila longed to see Diamait's home. The lovers returned to Ireland, hand-in-hand.
Despite their love for one another, the pair was treated with disdain and discrimination. Wizardkind knew how to recognize a Veela, and many were wary to interact with Diarmait and his now-wife. With a heavy heart, Diarmait left the magical world behind, instead settling for a life lived with his wife amongst the muggles, performing magic only in secrecy.
Finding work was easy enough. Diarmait took up photography, and Mila, with her otherworldly beauty, became his model. Muggles, unaware of the true nature of her beauty, flocked to hire Mila to model their products, from clothes to cosmetics. Leaving his wand behind at home, Diarmait accompanied his love across Europe, where she posed for magazines. Enchanted cameras weren't hard to find for a wizard, and the magical camera allowed Diarmait to take the best photos of his wife, since the magical presence of the Veela didn't affect his camera as it did other non-magical cameras. They quickly became a powerful duo in the worlds of modeling and marketing.
In time, magic became a rarity even in their household. Enchanted furniture was replaced with muggle furniture, cleaning and mending spells were instead replaced with manual scrubbing and repair work, and the only traces of magic in the household were Diarmait's wand and camera, the occasional enchantment to allow a simulacrum of electricity to work, and the different kind of magic that was Mila's existence as a Veela.
The doting husband and loving wife made a sizeable fortune dwarfed only by the size of their family. Their children were blessed with magical abilities and, preferring the convenience over the muggle lifestyle Diarmait encouraged, most moved out of the house as soon as they were of age. The only one who remained behind was Rudolph, Diarmait and Mila's youngest son. Unlike his siblings, Rudolph was a Squib. The magic was in his veins, but he didn't wield such abilities. He was, despite his lack of magical ability, however, a very handsome man, owing to his half-Veela status for such a fact. Such a looker would naturally be surrounded by muggle men and women who would not understand why they were so captivated by this man.
Rudolph married a muggle woman called Caitlin. He didn't meet a lot of magical women, since he never attended Hogwarts or frequented the haunts of his siblings. While the first two children of his, unsurprisingly, were just as incapable of magic as he was, all four of his children carried the charm of their grandmother, Mila.
Sadie, even if it her charm was well-hidden beneath a shroud of non-confidence and poverty, was no different. Even when she was bullied for her poverty, there was a level of flustered-ness on the cheeks of many of the boys - and some of the girls - who picked on her, and the bullying never got physical. Even just walking along the corridors in her muggle school, she found that people kept their distance. In her eyes, it was because they saw her poverty and found it repulsive, but, in truth, many muggles instinctively shied away from the beauty of her quarter-Veela heritage.

STATUS: Pending, Lesmana, 5 April
Reason for Pending:
1) Can you tell us about this photograph? In the lore, magic and electricity collide with each other making it harder for wizards to even live in a modern muggle society without breaking things. You can keep the photography as Sadie's grandfather's way of living but please specify that his skill and equipment are far from electricity. This is also applied to Mila, being a model for ads would be a bit difficult for the same reason.
2) It is very unlikely that wizards' children do not know about their magic inheritance. Even being a squib is a rare occurrence. The nearest magic school where their First Instance of Magic happened will record their name so they will be highly go to magic school. In your case, the nearest would be Hogwarts. Please make the necessary edits to suit the lore.
3) Related to (1) and (2), living in a muggle world would mean that they will have some difficulties in their daily life. Car would be unlikely to have unless the household has fewer magic person (though this would still affect their electronic gadgets). I suggest one of Sadie's parents is half-veela while the other one is muggle.
Notes for further roleplay:
Please take note that there's a statute of secrecy that must be obeyed for all wizards. This means that wizards couldn't show their magical traits to muggles unless they were a close family. I will refer you to these links for further information about International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy, and our lore on Magical Beings

At age 10, during the summer before what would be her 1st year her father came home after almost two weeks gone and just ate a short meal before saying he had to leave. Suddenly she found herself on her feet in anger. All the doors in the house slammed shut. Her parents would have been quite angry if it wasn't for the fact that they now knew she wasn't a squib.

Character Backstory: When she was born her hair color had immediately started changing. Her parents had rejoiced because they believed that her being a Metamorphmagus would mean she'd be a powerful witch. Indeed, she did turn out to be quite skilled at changing her appearance. By the time she went to Hogwarts she was more skilled at the skill than most others with the talent. She could quickly change minor details about herself without almost any concentration. This proved to be the only thing about magic that she was skilled at, though, and her parents thought she was actually a squib who somehow still inherited the gene more being a metamorphmagus even though that would be impossible.
Her talent came from her fathers side of the family. Her father has the talent too but before that it had skipped over four generations before manifesting in her father. Her great-great-great-great grandmother had been the last to have the talent before then. Before her their family had had the talent for a long time. The whole family was surprised that Iliala had it though because it almost never was passed directly from one generation to the next and normally skipped several generations before showing up.
Her father found the skill very useful in being an Auror. He excelled in tests about changing his appearance and used the skill often at work, however whenever he comes home he never uses the skill. He is far too professional to ever try to trick his wife and child. He does occasionally start to use it in public to make himself look more handsome and put together, though. His wife doesn't like this very much and finds both Iliala's talent and his quite unnerving. She never likes it when either of them changes their appearances.
When Iliala was still just 7 or 8 years old she had begun to gain the slightest control over her appearance. With deep concentration she was able to change her hair to several shades darker and her eyes to brown and, very happy with herself she presented it to her parents. Her mother yelped in shock and ran away while her father yelled at her for startling her mother. Heartbroken she hid in her room and cried herself to sleep. She'd truly believed her skill with her power would impress her parents but neither of them had reacted positively. Since then she never uses her talent in her mothers presence and rarely in her fathers.
Despite not using her talent with her parents she still uses it often. She's devised a different person who she likes to roam the streets as. They have black hair and brown eyes. They're skin is less tanned than hers too. She calls them Daya and turns herself into them when she wants to get away. She can never form relationships with people when she's Daya though because her appearance changes slightly by the day as Iliala figures out better what she wants her to look like. She's made Daya similar to her but quieter. Daya isn't actually a different person but just someone Iliala likes to imagine herself as. Daya is happy. Daya likes her family. Daya is a way for Iliala to escape.

First Instance of Magic:She grew up with magic. Her mother is a muggle-born who graduated top of her class from Hogwarts, and her father is a very talented pure-blood who is a powerful auror. Originally they thought that their blood together would create an incredible witch however, as she grew up and never showed magic though, they both grew less and less happy with her. Her father stopped coming home as often and when he did he was cold and emotionless and her mother blamed her for her fathers indifference. When she was still young though, they were quite happy and kind to her. Or as kind as two people who wanted you only to evolve their family legacy could be. Still, they paid for an expensive tutor and often brought other "friends" for her to hang out with. She excelled in her schooling but didn't like her tutor in the slightest. He normally only taught purebloods and was only making an exception because of her father who was quite influential. He quite often called her mudblood and other terrible words. Her parents didn't particularly care about her success in her basic schooling anyways and by the age of 8 they thought she was a squib despite her being a metamorphmagus. This was when her ticks started showing. They stopped paying for the tutor to her relief but then sent her to muggle schooling. She was relentlessly bullied and would have hated it even more than her tutor if not for the one or two friends she succeeded in making. By that point most of her old pureblood "friends" really just bullied her for being a mudblood when they came and soon they stopped coming altogether so those few friends she had were her salvation. She was the smartest in her grade in muggle schooling and almost always got 100% on tests or assignments. This was due in part to her naturally being quite smart but also in part to her tutor who, despite hating her, still taught her quite a bit. Whatever the reason, she continued excelling in school. She also started becoming interested in magnets which she discovered could do incredible things. She tried to build a magnet play throughout the entire year and continually failed but she still hoped to succeed at some point. She also found out that one of her friends took piano lessons and she managed to convince her parents after weeks that she could take lessons too. She started slowly but once she got better she got a lot better. She continued taking lessons until the day she headed off to Hogwarts.
STATUS: Pending, Lesmana, 5 April
Reason for Pending:
1) Why did she skip her fifth grade?
2) Please specify at what age Iliala experience her FiOM.
STATUS: Pending, Lesmana, 5 April
Reason for Pending:
1) The education system in the UK doesn't facilitate that easily. It's also very unlikely and unheard. Please delete the part where Ilila skipped her year 5.

Physical Description:
Mikey is above average height, with an athletic build. Brown hair and blue eyes. he has a birth marks on both arms and one on his chest. He is well dressed and has a well kept appearance. He has bright eyes that seem to absorb the world around him with curiosity.
Mental Description:
He has a kind soul and a positive attitude. He is quick with a joke and fast to make friends. There is a certain darkness about him that he doesn't let others see but it occasionally slips out. Most people enjoy his company and quick wit.
Life before school:
Mikey spent his early years in Liverpool. He had a relatively normal upbringing and was a happy child. His muggle parents didn't know about magic so he was raised ignorant to his powers. Mikey was only raised by his "parents in passing" Not in a bad way more of the "It takes a village way." He got to spend a good amount of his childhood with his aunts and uncles became well traveled at a young age because of it. Bouncing between Liverpool, Alaska, Hawaii, and Egypt, he learned to have a good respect for peoples differences and that people are generally the same loving kind people wherever you are in time and space.
He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his grandmother in the USA. She had some important job that kept her busy but he never quite knew what. but she had a house on the water and a row boat that he could take anytime. Mikey would spend hours on the water fishing, lost in his thoughts, pretending he was huck fin from the old books. But he always went back home to Liverpool and his mother, father and brother Axle. While at home his imagination and dreams seemed to fade. Probably the repetition of normal life and the monotony of "wake up, go to school, go to sleep." got to him. He still remained positive and a happy kid throughout. Although he did tend to get in to a bit of mischief. it wasn't so much that he found trouble, more like trouble found him. The one thing that made him truly different was a strange fascination with life and death. At an early age he found a wounded bird and was able to nurse it back to health. From then on he took it upon himself to walk the fine line between the living and the dead.
First use of magic:
When Mikey was 9 years old his pet dog died leaving him heart broken. The family buried the dog in the backyard and had a small service. A few nights later Mikey went to the grave, his heart heavy and tears in his eyes he screamed. The ground around his feet started smoking and burst in to small flames. luckily the rain doused the small fire and no real damage was done. His parents not knowing about magic at the time were frightened but thought it must have just been a freak accident.

STATUS: Pending, Lesmana, 5 April
Reason for Pending:
1) The 220 words are supposed to be Mikey's Forville backstory only, excluding his physical description, mental description, and First Instance of Magic. We need to know more about Mikey's life before he went to Hogwarts. This could be about his family, his education, his social life, etc. This post will guide you on how to write more about your character.
STATUS: Approved, Lesmana, 7 April
A note for future RPs:
Since Mikey is a muggle-born, he wouldn't get an owl for the acceptance letter. A staff from Hogwarts would visit his main family (father and mother) to inform them that Mikey is a wizard and explain about magic and Hogwarts.[/b]
