Literature Club Sign-Ups IC and OOC Anyone Can Join!

ANNOUNCEMENT

Hiya members!

I thought I'd let you all know that the Literature Club is taking an extended break to allow people to transition back to IRL activities (many of yous are back at school/gearing up to go back to school, others are working and various other things ) Myself included, as I'm hoping to get organised for uni mid-September

I haven't forgotten about the club! I can promise you that! There's just a lot going on behind the scenes that have unfortunately taken away my time to write and post lectures etc. As I haven't properly closed the latest assignment in the Member's Thread, yous are all free to submit your pieces for the most recent activity at your leisure - in fact, there's 3 chocolate frogs for the first person that submits an entry for the activity, as it's gone completely silent upon release

I anticipate our recommencement sometime between mid-September to early October - that gives me time to work out my uni schedule and for yous to carry on without club activities hanging over your heads

And of course I haven't forgotten about the mini contests I mentioned a while ago! There'll be more to come in regards to that as well when we reconvene!

Hiya Members!

After a long break we're finally going to get back into action! But before we jump right in, there's a few new tweaks to the club!

Uno: The club will meet once a month (The first weekend of the month) - with all of us working, being at school, throwing our friends into the lake and catching fireflies, this extended deadline will hopefully accommodate our busy lives. It'll also benefit me to help write better lectures especially when the last several have been lackluster

Dos: I am now accepting Donations for writing contests (TBC). All members in the club are free to donate items that they no longer need/want (eg. ingredients, food items, joke items, clothing, special items). These items will be kept aside for any writing contests that pop up in the long-term. I've saved up a few items - if you count an Acid Pop as being worthy of a 1st place prize So for those wanting to support these contests and are happy to donate, simply send your items to me (Emily Shephard) with a caption, "Lit. Club Donation" so I know to keep it aside for those occasions

Tres: Depending on responses and demand, I'm open to doing Club RP threads based on ideas yous have. If you have an idea and fancy doing an RP, post your idea in this thread and tag me in your post (so I know you've posted ) or alternatively, you can owl me privately

Now for one last thing!

As it's the new year (IC) I just want to do a teeny weeny activity check with everyone. I've had a couple people owl me in private a while ago over worries about being removed from the club because they haven't submitted anything for the activities, so to alleviate any concerns;

NO = I won't remove anyone from the club just because they haven't posted in the Activity Thread. Activities are encouraged to be participated in, but they aren't mandatory. A member will only be removed if they request it or have deactivated without prior consultation.

As for the activity check itself:

If you;
- Want to be pinged for lectures and new activities (participation in activities is optional).
and
- Want to be pinged for updates on contests, RPs and announcements
= Post a reply to confirm and your name will remain on the club list.

If you;
- DO NOT want to be pinged for lectures and new activities
and
- DO NOT want to be pinged for updates on contests, RPs and announcements
= Post a reply to ask for your name to be struck off the list and I'll comply.

Members can reapply if they regain interest - simply fill out the sign-up form again and I'll edit for paper trail purposes
Former members should note that they will not have access to the Member's Thread to post submissions once crossed off the list.

Those that don't respond to the activity check before 15th October will be crossed off. It's up to them to reapply if they wish to.

I think that's everything! Any questions, come to me! First lecture will go up either the 5th or 6th October, covering Subtext!
