Perfectionist

Study, practice, study, practice. All repeated by itself as the time went on for eternity. The only reason was to gain back what he lost, to be seen as a son by his parents and not just a great feasibility to strip away the family’s reputation either slowly but surely or in one single swipe. But lately it turned into a habit, then an obsession. Who had time to play meaningless games? Tic tac toe on the ground, whispers of rumours that were most likely true, holding hands on the corridors and telling each other how adorable they were. Not that he didn’t want to, he just felt guilty when he walked on that path. It felt as if he was wasting the limited time to be one step ahead of others. He focused on details in a big picture, meticulously pointed out the flaws in everything. The way he dressed, spoke, how his uncle prepared the food during the breaks, how other students carelessly did their school works, whilst some might think those were acceptable, he could make a whole list consisting of excruciating mistakes he and others made. Overworking his own body just to achieve the overly high standard he set upon himself was nothing out of ordinary. With the previous massive duel loss constantly played in his head, another loss will not be tolerated. He’d rather eat hundred of rotten eggs instead of standing there accepting his loss. The audacity of those hag warts students to be better than him, it should be illegal. So he practised and practised, and practised. Wand movements needed to be the exact same as the book described. Each spellcast needed to be immaculate according to his taste, otherwise the training day would never end. Too weak or too strong of a spell illustrated how incompetent he was, everything needed to be just right.

His nitpicking tendency was not only in his academic and duelling side. One thing that he loved to do in the meantime was crocheting. If he noticed some parts were too tight or too loose, even just a tiny bit, he’d scrap and redo it until he got the result he wanted. Some might say he was a perfectionist. To him, that word was a little too extravagant with negative connotations. He liked to see him as an ambitious person who knew what he wanted and would legalise anything to get it. Though it was good to have fuel, his unrealistic goals will do him more harm than good.
Outside his home environment, Rodion was known to be a friendly, good kid, always excelled in his academic and always offer a helping hand to people. He is good with his words, very articulate, always appeared to be an educated person, and almost can fit in in every group of people. At school, he is known as the social butterfly, a very confident but not the braggy type, everyone knew who he is (but not his background story). If people outside his family are asked to describe him, they will say the same thing repeatedly, that he is indeed a very charming person. His physical appearance is one of the supporting factors. A friendly smile with a kind eye always painted on his face, at least when he is around people. People gave him a lot of attention that he deeply craved because he did not get any from his parents. Often being complimented of his looks and academic achievement, he will react like “Oh, I’m not that great like you think I am” when the reality is that he wants people to constantly worship his greatness “Oh, yes I’m amazing, please compliment me some more.”
He knows exactly what to say in every situation he’s in, which made people draw into him some more. Manipulate people have always come easy to him like it was his nature. Even though he seemed to be nice to everyone, he will pay more attention to those who he thinks will give him advantages in life, whether it was power, or a good impression in public faces. He can make the most introverted person be comfortable with him, some even spilt a secret or two, which he would use if needed. He will tell people his fake happy or sad stories, depending on the situation and the person he talks to, just to make others think he is a relatable person. People think he’s an open book, but they knew nothing at all.
Despite all of the good things people say about him, he is a very insecure kid who just want his parents’ approval. His desperation to be equal or more than his twin sister is his biggest and deepest desire which he will probably never get. His ‘happy’ and ‘kind’ façade are just a cover up for his insecurities and miserable home life. While some people could see through it, it does take times to do because he is very calculated and careful with his action.
Medium low threat.

If it wasn’t because of that shitty Hogwarts publication, he wouldn’t have been in that room for hours. Thank you to his dear cousin for the poorly drawn map, the room of requirement was his for the day even if it took him half of the day to find it. And there he stood surrounded by mannequins who were ready to be burnt by his rage. “Incendio” Spells after spells thrown at them, how terrific it would be if those inanimate objects were that article writer.

Doesn’t seem to have the edge.

They didn’t know what he was capable of, therefore, none of the words in that article could be deemed valid. Then why did such a meaningless thing take a toll on his pride? He felt ashamed. That much distress caused him to be resentful. Every little thing that passed him got on his nerves ever since. He was angry at the writer, the ickle first years and their snotty little faces, the breakfast food for being too salty, the cold air that seemed to mock him. And the innocent mannequins were getting the impact from all of those animosity. “Incendio!” Flare of fire emitted from his wand. One dummy burst in flame, then another one, so on and so forth. But none were fitting the quality he wanted to achieve. All were below remarkable.

Like what Aurora always said, maybe he tired himself out. He hated the fact that she might be right. Not her, not that writer, no one. If exhaustion was all it takes to be the winner of the hexwizard, he will go beyond what is required. He wanted to win, he had to. He gripped on his wand harder, imagining that headliner staff’s face as the target. Yet, he couldn’t. Instead, his father’s figure was in his head, shouting how unworthy he was. Was he able to find happiness after getting rid of his own son? Whilst Rodion wanted to gain back his respect, was it wrong to say that he also wanted to erase his existence, leaving only his name?

“INCENDIO!”

It split.

He watched the spell split midway, hitting one dummy and the wall. A new knowledge, magic can mitosis somehow. The accuracy was far from perfection. His surprised expression was replaced by a smirk. At least he knew that if he could master it, this would be a game changer. Though, he had to figure out the answer to this one question. How to control it?

Concentrate, take a deep breath.

After what felt like days, one failure after another, backfired spells that caused him to accidentally burn himself. It finally worked again. It wasn’t a flawless journey, but he did it. Two spells shot in different directions, hitting two mannequins perfectly. Then he watched them burn in awe like a maniac. Underestimation is a power by itself. Now that no one saw him as a threat, maybe he could use it as an advantage.

Let me show you what a medium low threat looks like, then, you’ll be begging for mercy.

Irina was a very curious girl and happened to notice many things outside the ordinary, including her rising magic. Ever since she was a baby she seemed to notice all of the little things out of place that others never saw. From the movement of leaves on trees to what paint is wet or dry. Things that people tried to hide, Irina would find it out by some way. This was also more tied into her gut feeling. Everyone had one but more often than not it seemed as though her’s proved right.

An instance of this was when she was 7 and played a game called hide and seek with a few of her magly friends. Since no one else who volunteer she was nominated to be the seeker. They were outside on a playground with plenty on places to hide and after counting for a minute Irina was off. Thinking for a moment she followed her gut feeling to look behind some of the trees. Surprisingly enough, all but one of her friends were hiding behind the trees. They all groaned and thought that she cheated due to the fact that she found them so fast. There was still one person to be found and Irina noticed out of the slightest corner of her eye, movement towards her left. Heading that direction, she ran without even thinking and just like that she found the last person.

It wasn’t that impressive to win hide and go seek but it kept happening time and time again that she would win within a minute. Due to this all of her friends made her hide instead of being the seeker and the result turned out somewhat the same. Irina would not be found for so long that her friends would give up. They all called her out for cheating wouldn’t play it again because they wanted a chance to win. The thing was, Irina wasn’t cheating at all, she was just trusting her gut feelings hiding in spots she believed they would overlook.

One time when it was just Zola and Irina, they were walking to magly school. It was typical for them to do this because they didn’t live to far away and it was nice to spend time together. There was no sidewalk but it was a mainly unused road. The two of them were holding hands walking in the street when Irina had a bad feeling come across her. She pulled her mom and herself out of the road and into the grass. Zola was unsure what was going on but decided to trust her daughter. It was a good thing she did because out of nowhere a car came speeding down the road with 3 police officers trailing it. If Irina hadn’t acted on her gut in this moment they would both have serious injuries.

Irina always trusted her gut and recently thought of it more like a warning. When she noticed the things out of the ordinary she would always take note because you never know what could be lurking.[/reducio] Fearless [reducio]Fearless
WC: 421
Fears. What really determined a fear, was it a part of your brain or natural instinct to be afraid. Irina Afanasyeva was a just a fourteen year old girl yet she felt like she had already conquered all of her fears. She had been abandoned by her father, brother, and her best friend just due to the stigma that being a magical person held. She had already been through so much and was not going to let anything or anyone stop her again. Of course she had some normal fears like dying or losing her mom but she had rarely ever been scared or frightened by her friends at Koldovstoretz. It used to be a game they played, everyone would try and find a way to scare Irina, they wanted to make her flinch or scream, anything to get a reaction.

Time after time, Irina wouldn’t budge and even found herself in the position where she would wind up scaring them instead. It was all quite a fun game and almost everyone in the school knew that if they wanted to have a challenge scaring someone it would be Irina. They also knew that the best person to call when going on a scary trip was Irina because she wouldn’t be shaken up a bit.

There was one time where Irina had decided that she wanted to travel into the depths of one of the old run down cottages that used to be used for classrooms in the middle of the night. She had gathered a few friends and planned to have a great time exploring. It was almost pitch black when they snuck out of their rooms and took the hike to the cottages. There were 5 of them to start and one chickened out on just the walk. Another one wanted to leave once they reached the room but was too terrified to go anywhere alone so they stayed with the group. They reached the room and walked inside, flashlights on they explored the whole run down cottage. Everyone except for Irina was screaming at the smallest spider or tiniest noise. Irina was just thinking that the place looked quite cool inside.

They got back to the main school building and you could tell that everyone but Irina were very, very scared. Irina was totally fine with the experience and even thought that she had a good time. It was evident that she really wasn’t afraid of much and her friends even gave her the nickname of “Fearless”.[/reducio]

Calming Presence[reducio] Calming Presence
WC: 405
Irina was a very kind person and many who come across her find that she has a sense of calm. This makes them trust her and want to share information with her. This wasn’t always the case though, Irina used to be feared but when she came to Koldovstoretz it started to change.

She had a lot of issues arise in her childhood due to the fact that she had magic that caused her friend and family to be scared of her. Due to her past she rarely opens up to people and trusts them. Irina winds up being a very good listener and loves to let others talk about themselves. As an avid, kind, listener, others feel much more comfortable to talk to her. So much so that people have talked to her just so that they could have someone to comfort them and talk it out with them.

One time, an acquaintance of hers came up to Irina in class. They were struggling with learning a spell and turned to Irina for help. Irina had yet to figure it out herself but talked her friend through the different steps of the spell. Just by Irina’s encouragement, her friend succeeded in the spell the next time around.

When coming home from Koldovstoretz to see her mom when she was 12, Irina found herself next to an older woman. She had never met this women before but had started to strike up a conversation with her. This women must have felt at ease with Irina because soon enough she was sharing her opinions on her job. The job she held must have not been for her because she unloaded all of her feelings onto Irina. Irina wasn’t that shocked that this had happened because it had happened before at Koldovstoretz and many told her they just felt like they could trust her. Irina listened and gave some advice to the women about her job situation.

She never met the women again but the women winded up going home wondering why she had just told a young girl all of that. Irina started to find herself in positions like this more often where she listened to others and tried to ease their worries away. It came naturally to Irina now, she would be one of the kindest people someone met and would try to make them feel more comfortable about the situation that they were in. WC: 528
Irina Afanasyeva was a loyal friend. She was the one who would always be there in times of need and would make sure that everyone was alright. She thought of it like a job of sorts, she had to make sure that her friends were in check and didn’t get hurt. Some might have called her the ‘mother’ of the friend group but, in her opinion she just looked out for those that mattered to her. When this combined with her already calming presence, she could make her allies happier and healthier.

She has always looked out for people in her life and has done it much more at Koldovstoretz. There was more of a need at her magical school than there ever was at her magly school. She would still try and help people as a young girl but, her magic had made her afraid to grow close with people and help them. Koldovstoretz allowed to her to not hide her abilities anymore and there were many more opportunities to get hurt.

Irina would always try and keep an eye on her allies, to make sure that they were doing alright. At the Hogwarts Blossom Ball that she was invited to, she had to look after her friend Nate who accidentally drank a potion. She had tried to warn him before the fact but was too late. This potion winded up making him afraid and panicked. Irina attempted to comfort him through the effects and kept him from doing anything dangerous. She made sure that he was completely alright before leaving him and would check in on him more throughout the night to make sure he was still doing okay.

After that disaster of a ball Hogwarts hosted, Irina made it her goal to always be prepared to help aid her friends. When she got home for summer vacation, she told her mom about what had happened and the two of them came to the conclusion that Irina needed to have supplies at the ready. Not anything big though, just minor things like bandaids and gauze. She wasn’t any sort of healer but, had to have supplies on hand just in case her friends got into bad situations. Irina briefed herself on normal magly first aid in case the time ever came where magic wasn’t available to use.

When worrying about her friends, she tried to keep to her personality and stay upbeat. If her friend did get injured, she would stay upbeat when trying to help them. She had been told before that her presence made a big difference when someone was injured, they were glad she was still her happy self and many who she had helped before had told her that it made them feel better. Attitude and personality can make all the difference when helping people. Irina would try to be happy in hopes that her friend or patient would be happy too.

She worries about her friends and after what happened at the ball, she wants to be prepared for everything. Irina keeps her friends well being in mind and hopes that if a problem arises she can be there to help.

WC: 411
Irina hates Hogwarts, she hates the people, the school, and the lack of security. She can, and has ranted for hours about every little that school has done to tick her off. Overtime she has finally realized that ranting won’t get her anywhere, it won’t stop the Hogwarts students from being arrogant, and saying they are the best. The only thing that Irina can do to prevent that, is to beat them in broom racing.

She competed in their summer duelling match last year and lost to an overconfident individual. It was her final duel before she switched to broom racing, and the loss compelled her to train her hardest to beat Hogwarts in broom racing. Everyday, she’d be out there on the Koldovstoretz grounds, training her heart out. At this point, the training wasn’t even for her anymore. It was for her lost teammates that perished in the bomb. They were supposed to compete in the inter-school race last summer, but died just days before. Irina wanted to win for them, to preserve their memory.

Now the team had grown, and Nate had even joined to race. The addition of more people to the team provided yet another incentive for Irina to spend every extra second she had training. She wanted to be a good role model and felt as though it was her responsibility to help them win a race.

Day by day, Irina would practice her skills, she would speed around on her Silver Arrow and shoot spells at either thin air or a friend. Her end goal was to be able to hit almost all her spells accurately while riding at top speed. Also, she wanted to be able to dodge the quickest that she could when flying at the fastest speed. The hope was to make herself a force to be reckoned with on the track.

Soon enough, she started seeing the results of her endless training. Casting spells became a much quicker process, and luckily for her she knew a lot of good ones from her time as a dueler. The constant dodging and weaving on the broom significantly quickened her already fast reaction time. Broom racing was becoming a walk in the park for Irina, and she could only hope that the trend would continue to go up. The hours that she devoted to her broom had made a difference and she was more than ready to attempt and enact her revenge on Hogwarts.

Fedya had always been spacey, to put it simply. Maybe it was the fact that he really didn't seem all that interested in the aesthetic value of the things his family members and fellow classmates might care for. He was simply much too focused on his studies, nose in a book, or otherwise didn't care. Honestly, he would tell anyone who asked that he really didn't care much for aesthetic beauty at all, as it has little value. Looks are trumped by smarts, personality, morals.

One prime example would be that of what might become known as the 'Sasha Incident'. Back at muggle school. There had been a girl, Sasha, who was completely enamored with Fedya. Entirely head-over-heels, assured that they would become married one day. In fact, she told Fedya that they were going to have twelve kids and live in a big brick mansion. To any other boy at the school, it would have been a dream come true. Reason to run home, boasting about their pretty new girlfriend. See, Sasha had been a pretty girl. Popular, funny, the kind of girl that all the boys were so in love with (or as close to love as one could get as a child under ten).

Fedya never folded. He didn't fall for the promises of ice cream after school if he just would become her boyfriend, didn't bend over backwards to carry her books through the hallways.

Jokingly, he might credit it to his poor eyesight--rendering most things blurry, but he knows the truth. That he truly just values who a person is over their external features, and has never known 'attraction' like his peers. Not romantic, not platonic. He's never looked at a person and thought to himself they're cool looking, I like them. In fact, most impressions are based chiefly upon 'vibes' and the initial energy a person gives off, rather than their physical appearance.

Now, in his school life, Fedya still doesn't have many friends. Yes, some mere acquaintances will do, but no true friends. Maybe it is because of his reluctance to judge based on looks (or a complete lack of awareness of what people do look like), but either way, this 'meh' sort of reaction to the looks of others does impact the boy in his everyday school life. Maybe it's facial blindness (as Fedya can often be observed saying 'they all look the same to me'), maybe it's ignorance, maybe it's an unfortunate ability. Who knows?[/reducio]

Name: Angelique Selemine
School: Koldovstoretz
Year: 1
Status: Pureblood
Appearance: Angelique has light, bouncy hair that she sometimes curls loosely. On the whole, however, her hair is straight and a pleasent mixture of gold and yellow. She has a set of marble like blue and green eyes that always twinkle with fun when she is happy.
Personality: Angelique Selemine is pretty when she laughs, which she does often. She is often determined but prefers to focus on one goal at a time. She can be quite driven, and is a Russian girl who is a Gymnastic Dancer, and enjoys taking part in one of the most famous sports in Russia. Her favorite dance is with ribbons and she loves to fly about the stage. When she is not busy, she enjoys relaxing with her friends or going on an energetic trip to some new towns and visit cafes.
History: Angelique Anastasia Selemine was born on the 17th of May, 2011.
She was born as an only child, which suited her - although she was
often lonely and cut off. Luckily, she began attending school early
and was very consious that her talents might soon be discovered.
Magic. She was a Half-Blood so she grew up with her Mother's
spells whizzing around the house - so she understood it was was
only too eager to start her education at Koldovstoretz.

She knew that she was going there, it was the nearest school, after
all. She wondered how on earth she would be able to continue her
dancing but her mother reassured her that there would be time
and space. That soothed her and she grew up to continue to dance
and of course, learn. She went to a simple school for children
(her mother was annoyed, she wanted to keep her at home and try
to learn more magic, instead of the "muggle" way) but her father
was persistent. He was sure that she should get a basic education
before persuing the less taken path.

As she attended muggle school, she had one best friend named
Sofia Storkvsy - they were insperable. They had to say that she
was attending a boarding school so that she wouldn't realize that
Angelique was a witch.

Her first instance of magic was in dancing, when she was practising
with the ball. The ball soared through, and landed straight into her arms
- that was a huge shock for her.

Angelique Selemine was more than just a dancer. No, she was born with incredible skill, rarely seen - even in the Dancing school. She had been born in a sunny day of May, perhaps that reflected to her sunny personality. Neverless, she was always so dainty and neat, even when she was a child! She would be naturally neat and generally well mannered, but it was in bending, curving, jumping and scurrying out of an earshot that she was talented at.

There was a muggle game called "Dodge Ball" which, as the title suggests, was dodging balls. She was very graceful at it, sliding out in the last moment. She had loved dancing and it had become very natural for her body to move sideways sharply, or else, in a fluid motion - and her amazing ability was even more useful when she came to Koldovstoretz School of Magic. Dueling.

The art of being able to use magic to fire spells with combination to...well, evade attacks - this came really easy for Angelique as she was used to ducking or else, doing various moves that managed to escape from the opponents firing wand pelting spells - in other words, she enjoyed it.

However, there was something else; something that made her to be a much harder target to be hit. Whenever someone attacked, being nimble and agile, Angelique always had a split second advantage to dive away - usually just in time to evade a spell cast on her. In fact, this was not all. She could always feel something deep inside her, something so slightly noticable....tingling. A soft sensetation that gave her a split second advantage on each and every occasion. A warning for danger.

She would be able to dive in just in time, to be able to feel that soft tingle reach to her fingertips and run down her viens - and she would not think of anything but one: dive. Her mind would atomaticlly dodge, which no doubt was fairly easy due to her split second warning.

As anyone would have guessed, it was extermly useful in dueling - and yes, even a bit in the muggle games that you had to dodge balls....although, let's just say that the teacher at muggle school did not suspect a thing about her starring talent, thank goodness. On the whole, Angelique is a girl with surprising ability - so nimble and agile when it comes to duels...this helped her no end.

Nate started boxing at an early age. He followed in the same footsteps as his older brother, who was already in the (children's) ring before Nate even started training. But the Smirnows were not only known for their family and their magical abilities. They were also known for men who were big, broad and strong. Nate's father himself had been a successful boxer and by now he was passing on his knowledge. And so he did with his own sons. Both Smirnov sons became part of their father's fight club at an early age.

They always rehashed with a lot of discipline, and this carried over into their training. While in their younger years it was all naturally kid-friendly, the older they got, the harder the training became. Jumping rope, cardio, coordination training, speed training and strength training. Everything was on the list besides the actual fighting. Before Nate was even allowed to go into the ring for the first time, he had to build up all these skills. For a very long time he fought only against the punching bag or against the paws held by the trainer. Enviously he went to his brother's first fights, the first one he even won, and Nate felt an inner pressure. He would have to become at least as good and so he put his energy into more training.

Before school he went running, after homework he did weight training and in the evening he went to the fight club. At first it stayed with ground fighting and when Nate was old enough he could take part in his first grappling fight. He had learned a lot from his father, his friends and his brother. He had tried to perfect the techniques of leverage and sweaps. And then the day came, the day of his first fight. Nate was so nervous, he didn't want to disappoint his father and his brother. But most of all, he didn't want to disappoint himself. His first fight was also a win. And he built on that for the next few years. Besides grappling, he soon started boxing and kickboxing. He continued to develop and after a few years he stood in his first MMA ring. He would never forget that feeling. He would also never forget the jubilation when he won this fight.

Martial arts became part of his life and even after he left America for Koldovstoretz, he tried to keep up the training. He went running, did his strength exercises and met his brother for boxing in free times. He was still outclassed and always managed to get him into a choke hold. But Nate vowed that one day he would win against his older brother, and until then he would take everything he could learn from him.

Nate had been going to Koldovstoretz for three years now and not only the school years had changed him, but also puberty. He was still the boy with a big heart, loyalty to his friends and family but he also had to learn his lessons and experience. While Nate found that kissing a boy didn't deter him, he also had to find out that he couldn't care about the opinions of others, especially those who didn't know him. It was like a hard shell that protected him from the outside. Nate made his experiences and grew from them. He met boys, but ended up with a girl again and on top of that he had received a lot of dislike for acting out and finding out. He put his frustration into training. He and his brother took every opportunity for boxing training and Nate changed not only mentally but also physically. He was even bigger, even stronger and looked more and more like his big brother.

Nate still seemed introverted to some extent, but he had no problem approaching people. He just smiled less than others, but he hadn't lost his sense of humour. He could let the strong one hang out and he liked the "bad boy" image. He allowed himself to tease the first-graders and sometimes let his chav hang out. He was no longer the "little" boy who sat introverted in the corner with insecurity written all over his face. He could still feel insecurity, but he knew how to hide it. He is still as perfectionistic as he was three years ago, maybe even more so. He doesn't want to disappoint his father, his brother and himself. He wants to make his family proud.

Name: Роксана Николаев Волков or in English, Roksana Nikolayev Volkov(first name, patronymic name, last name)

School: Koldovstoretz

Year: Group 4, Primary school. 1st, I guess?

Status: Pureblood

Appearance: Roksana is very small at 4’4 ½, with short, semi-wavy blonde hair and blue eyes. She is a lot smaller than most of her peers, and she can be considered as lean. She often likes to leave her hair down often with barrettes.

Identity Card:
Image
Personality: Roksana is very humourous in a lot of cases, and she is also very mischievous, sometimes playing pranks on people for fun. She is considered quirky and opportunistic, and it’s very hard to make her unhappy or mad. She likes to ask questions and purposely tries to come off as annoying to people she doesn’t like, or who don’t like her. However, she is very social around other people(even if they’re not her age)and she likes to observe the world around her. She usually comes off as sweet and innocent…until she doesn’t. Roksana personally likes to call it, "talking to a devil who acts like an angel". She often uses this to her advantage to see if she likes who she’s talking to, though this can all go wayward in a number of ways, especially if whoever she doesn’t like provokes her ire somehow...

History: (please note that the Cyrillic text does not count toward the WC)Roksana Nikolayev Volkov is the 3rd daughter of Viktoriya Volkov(Вікторія Волков)and Nikolay Volkov(Николай Волков). She was born on January 13th, 2011. Only Roksana’s mother and her family went to Koldovstoretz; her father had gone to Durmstrang when he was younger, as about half of his family was Bulgarian/Serbian and had gone there themselves, and he lived closer to that region when he was younger. The family lives in the city of Murmansk, Russia, currently. Roksana is the youngest girl in her family. She has two sisters, Lyudmila “Mila”(Людмила “Мила”), who is in Group 5 at Koldovstoretz, and Tamara “Toma”(Тамара “Тома”), who was already in Group 6. Her little 5-year-old brother, Rolan(Ролан), hasn’t shown his first sign of magic yet, and Roksana’s parents are hoping that he isn’t a squib. They do have a little bit of the “Pureblood Supremacy” view, but not a whole lot to where they loathe muggles and half-bloods.

Roksana had a comfortable(and a bit high)life since her family was generally very wealthy. She was often overshadowed by her older sisters, and sometimes people forgot she was in the room. Roksana almost never got upset about this, and instead sometimes used it to her advantage. She loved to spend time in the library of her family’s manor, and even in her sister’s room, scrummaging around in their stuff. Her paternal grandparents weren’t fond of Roksana’s quirky personality and temperament, and they had wanted her to go to Durmstrang as they did, but when Roksana’s letter from Koldovstoretz arrived, they knew that it might be the better option for her, even though Koldovstoretz was a relatively new school. Roksana and her family live near muggles, but not too close, so as to not raise suspicion.

Roksana’s first instance of magic was at age 5 when her two older sisters were in group 3 at Koldovstoretz. Her 11-year-old cousin Svetla(Светла), who was going to Durmstrang, had come over to visit the Volkov Manor. However, Svetla was very fond of bullying Roksana and anyone else younger than her, but Roksana usually got her back. However, she hated it when Svetla teased her about her height, which was what she was doing right now. “Seriously, what are you, two? You're a filthy midget! You look like you could be a squib!” This didn’t make much sense, but it upset Roksana nonetheless, though she tried not to show it. Svetla was still teasing Roksana until she finally reached her breaking point. “Shut up you donkey!” she yelled, an insult that her sisters loved to use against anyone they didn’t like, including Svetla.

Svetla didn’t like to be called a donkey, so she tried to grab Roksana. That’s when Svetla’s dress caught on fire, and she screamed, and that’s when the adults fled upon the scene. Terrified, Roksana scrambled away and watched as her mother managed to put out the fire. Luckily, Svetla wasn’t hurt very badly. Svetla told the whole story to the adults, leaving out the parts about her teasing Roksana. Roksana’s parents weren’t very happy about the situation, but they were very glad that Roksana had had her very instance of magic. When she got her letter from Koldovstoretz a little later, she was so excited, because she really needed to learn how to channel her magic more. She eventually went after her 8th birthday and was placed in Group 4.

Roksana had always been overshadowed by her older sisters, who, of course, are better at magic than she is, sure, but Roksana has never cared. She had never been too worried about what her family thought about her, especially her grandparents, who seemed to always find a way to make her more...well, more like them. This meant being a pureblood, which in turn meant doing pureblood things that Roksana didn't really see the point of. Including attending pureblood parties and such...

Roksana was usually one to successfully evade these parties at the very last minute(and probably make a scene too), so that her family would get the message that she didn't care about all the responsibilities and privileges that came with being a pureblood. And she usually wasn't caught slinking away from her responsibilities, mostly because nobody was paying much attention to her. But, managing to sneak around and be stealthy was pretty much her specialty...

In order to surprise someone, you need to be stealthy. One of Roksana's favorite things in the world to do is trick her sisters, especially when getting back at them for something they did to her, like insulting her or their little brother. It's lucky that both of them are still underage because things would be a lot messier if they weren't. Roksana's older sister Mila especially wouldn't hesitate to curse her if she was 17. So, being able to sneak in and out of places to avoid her sisters' wrath is a skill much needed.

Escaping from her touchy grandparents, who do not admire Roksana's personal opinions and style, is also good. Even though Roksana doesn't really care about what her grandparents think of her, it's much better to not listen to her family's lectures about how she should act and present herself. She'd much rather sneak away and leave it to her parents or sisters to try and find her. So, she'd usually sneak away and hide in the library, the last place anyone would expect her to be, they didn't think that Roksana was the type to read a whole lot.

So, other than being the champion of hide-and-seek, Roksana is very good at managing to slip out of sticky situations and sneaking into certain places without anyone knowing that she's even there. In other words, agility, a skill that's very helpful, especially when trying to evade your pesky older sister who really wants to kill you for reading her journal...
Evasive Maneuvers[reducio]Kolya is almost always on the move. Seeming to struggle with staying still for long amounts of time, he's always keeping tabs on his surroundings as his attention flits about. It's become apparent over the years that it's hard to catch the boy by surprise. Paired with his diminutive height when compared with his peers, many have come to learn just how hard it can be to catch him unawares. Growing up he would always join his friends in various iterations of muggle sports, though his favorites always trended towards football or games of tag. Though not as physically fast as some of the others, he was always fairly adept at dodging or feinting around them to get away.

When he first came to Koldovstoretz at age 9, he found that he needed to find some sort of outlet for the seemingly boundless energy so as to not annoy any of the school staff. At least on a consistent basis, that is. As such, he's taken up the habit of jogging about the island on school grounds to burn off energy when he's particularly restless. The boy has come to find a sense of relaxation with the practice as he can generally allow his thoughts to clear out for a time. And, like just about any young boy, he's done his best to make the task into some form of game. Be it taking the time to leap between the rocks along the shore of the lake to mapping his own strange, winding path through the small patches of forest, the laps are never quite the same.

As small and nimble as he is, Kolya does his best to use it to his advantage when given the chance. Whether in the various games he's taken to enticing others into, or opportunistically sneaking away from staff when they're distracted, the boy finds a sense of satisfaction in the act. Being able to duck away from undesirable situations has always served the boy well in his short life so far. Despite having endured some forms of teasing for his height, the reality of it has never truly bothered him. As agile as the boy is, his observation certainly help to embellish his elusiveness. A sharp eye has saved his hide many a times. He's grown fairly adept at anticipation when it comes to his movements, years spent observing the people around him and taking note of body movement. He entertains the belief that he's become rather adept at discovering the various tells that other people exhibit from time to time. [revelio]428 words[/revelio][/reducio]

The boy was someone that people liked at Koldovstoretz- pleased his dad with his good grades- and tried his hardest in every single thing that he had done. And yet, he seemed to be a class favorite. He didn’t know what it was like in the higher years, but he was definitely liked, and his first year – even if he wore a shark costume. Maybe it was a gift, that he didn’t know he had it. But he knew of his popularity. It was a good feeling, not having people talking bad things about you behind your back. He wasn’t the most popular – hence him not being lively enough for that. But he was there to partake in the fun. To help keep the fun going. He was there for happiness.
Core- Thestral Tail Hair
Reducio
He could remember that fateful day that his mother died. Everybody was sending letters to remind of the tragedy and he just wanted to throw the letters in the trash. He felt like it was his fault his own mother died. Yet he knew that a part of him acknowledged that it was going to happen. It’s probably so sad and so sensitive. He has never talked about it before, but he knew – that he should’ve gone with his mother that day – to the grocery store. And when he got notified of the death- he sat – and stared blankly at the wall in his room, feeling like he was at fault for this. He was miserable- but was there to live if he just focused on one person's stuff. He knew someone died every day. There is no evading the Grim Reaper. Taking a breath, he felt that connection. He reverberated through his soul, and she knew that someday in his future – he would be – likely working for more work. he desired do you help identify bodies to give satisfaction knowing that today's children, mothers, fathers, dead friends would want to know what happened, especially if it was a brutal murder. He didn’t want them to be left hanging, wondering what happened to their loved ones. He had a drive to identify what had once held him captive in a very long sense of thought, the only road that he had ever called home.
Wood- Elder
Reducio
His eyes were on her brighter at the site of the wooded that everybody seems to fear called elder. It was magnificent, and he began to feel a deeper connection to it than he had ever had before with his previous wand. Admittedly he felt just a teeny tiny bit ashamed. He picked it up, and felt quite a bit of expectations from it. He felt like he was tied to the crushing history of his very young school. Vladislav would notice that he flipped out a little, but knew that over time, he would likely learn to master it. It was a little hard to control himself, but learning how to control himself is probably the best way to go.
Flexibility- Sturdy
Reducio
Sturdiness was a bit more complicated, as he didn’t fully comprehend it, but he realized that it would be the fact that he has the ability to keep his word, to put up with more people, to be more ‘to the point.’ It was his potential that he would get better over time. He hopes that one day in the future, he’s acknowledged for his dedication- his patience- and his time/efforts.
