Hello! I was just wondering something real quick- I want to do a rp in the forbidden forest with someone else, and I was wondering what could happen if they do sneak in there? (As in, could they get caught, what are the dangers, etc)
And would it be possible for them to get attacked by something? In which case, I heard I have to ask for permission for that, I think? I'm not really sure though.

The first question I believe is yes. There is always a chance to be caught if a staff member decides to join the thread and give your characters detention, but I believe you can ask if you want to get detention.Azrael Holloway wrote: 9 Feb 2026, 20:46 Hello! As far as getting attacked, well, yes. You need to get permission from the CoMC professor. Especially for magical creatures.

! What about people though? I know that's a bit less likely, but if someone wants to rp that their character goes to Azkaban- could they somehow try to attack a student in the forbidden forest?

To add to Avery: there are plenty of magical fauna and flora your character can encounter. They won't be finding any dragons, or creatures of that scale, but there are things like Acromantulas, centaurs, and thestrals, as well as any mundane creatures typically found in wooded areas around Scotland.
It is a courtesy to ask the Care of Magical Creatures professor about interacting with creatures in the forbidden forest, but seeing as the professor has no responsibility over the wildlife there IC, it is not actually completely necessary. You can't blame a park ranger for a bear attack. If you were wanting to roleplay with animals in the CoMC area, or on the school grounds, that's a different story and definitely requires permission though.
