FAQ — Questions
Hi Julia! yes, I think so, but you must clear it with the admins first to make sure it is your sister who owns the second account, for transparency, but if these are followed, I don't see why not? And yes, I believe you both will be allowed to roleplay like thatJulia Evans wrote: 28 Nov 2025, 09:59 My sister wants to join Hio, so I was wondering - is she allowed to join as Julia's sister, Orla Evans? And if so, are the two of us allowed to role-play this?
FAQ — Questions
Sophie is correct in both points. Your best bet to ensure a smooth entry to the site for your sister is to send an owl to a member of staff stating she will be joining and her account name. Then your sister should also put in her biography how she knows you.Julia Evans wrote: 28 Nov 2025, 09:59 My sister wants to join Hio, so I was wondering - is she allowed to join as Julia's sister, Orla Evans? Keep in mind that admin have tools to verify people’s claims. We have had more than a few people claim that their siblings were joining only for this not to be true.

FAQ — Questions
You can edit and update your ency to {pretty much} your hearts content aesthetic-wise. You shouldn't make major changes to your backstory or FIOM, but other than that it's okay. Banners and images are fine though!Anabiyah Majid wrote: 29 Nov 2025, 03:19 Hi could somebody tell if i can change my ency after it has been approved (like add banners and images not the trunk part)

Late reply, tysm both of you!!Helen Aletheia Doukas wrote: 25 Nov 2025, 12:34 By the way, just adding this regarding the second question; if the thread in question is a ball thread (eg. the Lost Pearl, etc...) that isn't a group-specific one (eg. the current escape room thread for the Fall Ball), you can join without asking! For others, however, it's important to ask. Sports are a different deal altogether, because as they are official events with deadlines attached to them, there are specifics for each sport for when one can post and in what timeframe, wc rules, etc... This is only for official sports though! Many people do unofficial duels, for example.

Using this example from @Dealla Prince's announcement post [here] (crediting just because I went searching for an example and this was the first one I saw), she used the anchoring feature to link to specific parts of the announcement-

She set up the PZ anchor (a section that says in the above screenshot, and when you click on the link that leads to Petting Zoo, you are clicking the PZ anchor link that leads you to that specific part within that post.
Basically from what I can tell, looking at it, you set up the defining term or command- like
Petting Zoo somewhere, like a table of content, then you go to the section that talks about the Petting Zoo and put in the .
You've gotta break some eggs to make an omlette, something something.

Yeah exactly. You can set up a reference point within a post by using
Then link to that exact point in the post with
Very handy for longer posts like rules and instructions so you can make an index/content section! I used them in camp posts, the duelling rules and the potion system.
