FAQ — Questions
Hello! I was wondering if there is a way to change the blood status of our character? Mine says pure-blood(and I can't remember if that was random or if I chose it), when my character's backstory and everything is a Muggle Born, so I was just curious as to if I could change it. Thank you so much!
FAQ — Questions
Hello there! As you haven't been indexed yet, you can still request a change in bloodstatus as long as you haven't roleplayed being a pureblood already. Simply add the request when filling out the application for indexation here and a staff member can help you out!Rosalyn Willows wrote: 26 Nov 2025, 16:01 Hello! Hi guys does anyone know what metagame means???
FAQ — Questions
Metagame or godmodding means controlling the actions of another player without their permission.
EDIT: Charlotte is also correct :]
FAQ — Questions
From my understanding, metagaming is using out-of-character knowledge that your in-game character would not have access to. You can find more information on how that applies to hio here in section 8.

FAQ — Questions
Metagame is using oc knowledge/
For example, you know that this is an event NPC with a name. They are probably the bad guy.
You know that this girl is really a Ravenclaw despite saying they are a Slytherin and that they are a muggleborn not a pureblood because you can see it on their profile, but they have given no IC indication of this.
There is something about ambition, how it not only propels you but also defines you.

Yup, and the difference between metagaming and godmodding is that for metagaming you roleplay your character having knowledge that they don't realistically have access to, and for godmodding you control another players actions in your post.

My sister wants to join Hio, so I was wondering - is she allowed to join as Julia's sister, Orla Evans? And if so, are the two of us allowed to role-play this?
