Alliasta Holista wrote: 11 Jul 2025, 15:28 When will the Entrance Hall be updated? So Gryffindor won June, but Ravenclaw is still there. I'm just curious, not because I'm bothered by this. Also I understand that last month was busy with InPCs and other events. Just wanted to ask!
As these have to be updated manually as well as written up, it might take some time. But soon.
Oh thanks! I get it!

Hi! One other question: how many pets is too many do you think? It’s kind of just an opinion based question but I’m still curious so I don’t give Piper’s household like 50 pets not literally 50 but you get the idea

Hi Piper!

That's honestly up to you, but keep in mind that it needs to be realistic. If your family lives in a small flat they wouldn't be able to fit many pets in there (unless maybe it's a huge fishtank lol), if you live in an enormous mansion you'd be able to keep a few more.

Also keep in mind that they'd all have to be cared for as we don't allow animal abuse on site, so they'd have to have enough space to live comfortably and your family would have to have the means to support the animals you choose to have.

In short I'd say it depends on where the animals are kept, I'd say maybe around the 5 to 10 depending on what animals you choose and what means you have to take care of them?

FAQ — Questions
Hi there! I had a quick question about applying to be a werewolf! I wanted to make Darby a werewolf because I thought it suited her personality and overall I just wanted the ability, however, I wasn't sure how it would work with her backstory. She's a half-blood but she was raised as a muggle by her muggle mother. I know most of the time, lycanthropy is dealt with through magical remedies and whatnot so I wanted to know the best way I could finesse this in a convincing enough way. :sweatingbullets: Her mother has some knowledge of the magical world from her father so I was hoping someone on the registration staff could help me figure out how to make the story make sense enough to get approved and let me know how it would work if a child in the muggle world were to be bitten.

Thank you! Just a follow-up question: I was thinking two cats, a spider, a bird, some fish (though probably not), and then the new ferret. Would that be okay?

I don't see why not! As long as your family has the means to take care of them and the space for them it sounds like a great amount of animals to have! (Also keep in mind that you can't bring any of them to Hogwarts unless one of them is your pet! Which by reading your post seems like the ferret might be!)

FAQ — Questions
Hi! I have some questions regarding ability application. I didn't apply for an ability when I was a 1st-year student. Can I apply for my 1st-year ability now as a 2nd-year student? Also, if my character is not going to be a duellist/quidditch player/broom racer, do abilities have any practical functions?

Yes you can.

If you're not planning to do any sports, abilities can influence your roleplays. Whether it be moderated threads like the events we have (spring ball, fall ball, etc where rolls are still done for moderated actions) or just having something fun like comprehend languages, being an animagus, charmer, and other things like that.
