"Nebulus!"

The fogging charm was one of Cassius' favorite spells to cast. There was a strange satisfaction in filling the room with billowing puffs of fog, as if they were being transported to a different venue entirely from the formal duelling stages. It added a sinister ambiance to the proceedings and even in the short moments after casting, Cassius could feel his heart rate and adrenaline increase.

As the initial spread of fog settled into place, Cassius was satisfied to see it remained in the locations he wanted it to, concealing both his opponent and his teammate. It was a strategic decision to leverage his teammate's uncanny ability to cast through smoke. In the rounds to come, he hoped it would pay off.

There was no rest for the Murder of Merlin, however. There was still a fight left in this guest and Cassius prepared himself for more.

The young girl was sure they would win this duel. There was no other way. They had to win. They would win. She knew it. It would be amazing for her last duel as captain to be such a good win. Defeat had never been an option for her. Aiming her wand at the older student, she sends another wind jinx his way. As the stage was, once again, filling up with smoke, Samantha could feel her strength come back. With a grateful smile, she turned to Eun-ji who had just healed the both of them. "Thanks!" she said cheerfully. She didn't think she needed it but it was still very thoughtful Eun-ji to heal her.

The match was coming to an end for sure. Two of their opponents were out and the Ravenclaw team was still doing pretty well. Eun-ji felt much more at ease now so she didn’t rush with yet another attack and instead decided to help her teammate. Sam would have probably been okay either way but she was looking a bit ragged and Milosh seemed adamant on targeting her. If they were to win, Eun-ji wanted to make sure all three of them were conscious for it. Since both Cass and their captain could go on the offensive, she didn’t see any reason not to help. It was in her nature to do so after all.

Eun-ji nodded at Sam, accepting her thanks but it wasn't a big deal. Truth be told, the raven-haired girl was somewhat of an unofficial healer for her team during practice. She didn’t have a title and she herself never mentioned it but whenever she felt like someone needed help, the witch would simply step in no question asked. It was not necessarily out of the kindness of her heart. She was basically raised to do so. Well in any case, it was not bad. For such painful sport as duelling, it was probably a good habit to have...

He had failed. Failed himself and his teammates. His vision blurred as more spells were hurled his way. His body felt sluggish, unable to dodge in time. Back spasming, his shoulders tensing together as pain rushed through his body, nerve ends tingling. His body screamed, writhed every which way. How the hell was he still standing. His gaze, shifted to the other side of the arena, black dots flooding his vision. It was almost over..

Round 9

Julian bit his lip, indecision tearing at him as he took in the scene in front of him. Worry won. It was time to call it. Milosh might've still been standing, but he was in pretty bad shape. Even his opponents seemed to realise it, as there was a sudden pause in the hostilities. There was no way he'd be bringing this around. There hadn't been for a while, really. Three versus one were never good odds. But Julian had been hesitant to stop it before victory was decisive, lest he open himself up to accusations of bias. But he'd reached his limit, he couldn't in good conscience let the duel go on with Milosh in such a state.

"Okay, we're done," he said, and making his way to help Milosh. "Well played everyone."
