Year preferences: 4-7, but I could be persuaded to interact with a younger student as well! Would ideally like to limit these though, mostly because I don't think it'd make much sense for Thomas to hang around the youths much lol!
Your RPG storyline idea: Hello all, I am trying to ease my way back into h.io! For the most part, I intend to write away my sort of hiatus as Tom becoming secluded. He has been spending more time sleeping than doing pretty much anything else, his academics have slipped, etc. The reason why I hope to interact with older students is that it would make the most sense for a student who remembers how he behaved while younger to notice this change in his disposition! Prior to becoming isolated, he was a loud, egotistical nerd who was often not very nice lol. Nowadays he is quiet as a mouse. In essence, the very same not-so-great mental health and lack of inspiration that took me off this site in the first place will be the explanation for why my little guy has been MIA.
All of this in mind, many of my thread ideas revolve around the premise of: oh hey I vaguely remember that guy, why'd he get all quiet and sad? You might remember Tom for his dueling career and his cruelty on the piste, his academic elitism and rudeness in the classroom, anything along these lines. Some ideas:
- Thomas, once a wizard (figuratively, literally of course he remains one) when it came to classwork has horrifically embarrassed himself by answering a question wrong in some class. This may well have been the first time this has ever happened, and as such he should be moritifed. Perhaps you are a former academic rival of his, and you hope to gloat in the hallway and call him Idiot McLoserpants. He does not respond much to your jabs, etc. and we play it out from there.
- You come across a boy asleep in the library, drooling on his open book and snoring. Not only is this gross, but the snoring is disrupting your study routine. Horrible!
- You were at Hogwarts for the 2022-2023 school year, and remember Thomas as a fairly proficient duelist. You discover him out on the grounds, practicing his spellwork, and find that it is not just sloppy but woefully behind where he ought to be as a sixth year.
Or, anything else you might suggest. Really, anything goes, if you have any ideas let me know and we can work something out!
Additional info: My replies are fairly slow, so if you prefer a speed demon on most threads I may not be the partner for you. I am currently on medical leave from grad school so I'm more free than usual, but if the thread persists through into the new year I will horrifically slow...

Your RPG storyline idea : We recreate Pop culture sequences, haven't decided yet if it'll be star wars or shrek or any other. Feel free to add suggestions. Might be more inclined towards light hearted comedy more than other genres. Can also serve as a way for for students to get acquainted or form other bonds, maybe of hate.
Additional info : Not much to say here, except the students recreate a movie and act it out, in whatever odd way they remember since no tapes or electricity work in Hogwarts. Might include rolls for fun and how successful a pc is with their memory or task.

Your RPG storyline idea: So Ye-jun (ENCY link) is at the ball and bored. :-D If you have the same issue or thinking of joining late, I’d be happy to have some interaction with your character. Can be someone he knows or someone completely new. Bonus points if your character likes to dance. Boys are preferable but girls are definitely fine too.

Your RPG storyline idea: It's Friday evening, the start of the weekend, and someone starts a game of truth or dare around the fire in the Ravenclaw common room. Wren probably didn't have the idea (that's not really her personality) but someone convinces her to join in. This would be a super fun way to get to know each other, as well as establish some interesting dynamics between characters. Wren is easily embarrassed so this'll be fun.
