Month by month we mark the House Cup winner, however it is also important to mention who earned the most points for the year July to July as a refection of the year. he statistics are interesting and worth noting:

Slytherin August 2021 - November 2021
Ravenclaw stopped their victory and immediately sought the title. Slytherin was the second highest earning house (to Ravenclaw) the next two months thereafter. Had it not been for Ravenclaw, they would have had 6 months of victories.

iNPC Applications are now considered to be closed. This means that any player who has not applied for an update or for an iNPC will have to wait until iNPCs open up again. We anticipate that iNPCs will open up again around September (this is an approximation, not a promise). For players who have applied for updates prior to the July 1 deadline, we have just completed reviewing all of the applications and have either approved your iNPC, your update or have requested changes. If we have requested changes from you, you have been given a grace period to complete these changes. You have until July 14th to complete these changes.

It's Summer Time!

The Summer Planning Committee are working away on the summer events, which will be announced soon.

Summer Camp is a month-long camp that will be taking in Hogwarts this year, allowing students to stay there for another month. It is open to everyone (including first years and iNPCs).

For now, if you are interested in attending Summer Camp in character, please know that the camp will be taking place from 1st July to 31st July in character. Students will be able to return home in August for any 'home' threads that you may wish to do.

More information will be announced soon, the committee is finalising the details and you'll start seeing threads popping up in the Campgrounds shortly!

IC Dates: 1st to 31st July 2023

For members who are registering to Index late for second year. Today is July 1, once July 1 has elapsed for every time zone (so in 10.5 hours), users will not be able to register or re-register to index with a date of birth that would entitle them to being a second year. So in other words, if you have been roleplaying this year (2022-2023) at Hogwarts and you have not yet registered or you were removed from Index and have not re-registered, you need to do so before July 2. If you have not, those roleplays have still happened, your character will simply be "held back" a year.

For those who have attempted to register to Index or re-register, you need to complete those edits as soon as possible so we can update your character's school year. We are giving users a grace period to complete their requested edits. This means that if you complete the requested edits by July 31, we will honor your request to move up a year. Some of the pending users have not interfaced with their index staff person or made edits to their accounts in weeks, please know that if a full month has elapsed without evidence of an edit, your application will close. You will need to apply again with a new post and that post will be marked after July 1 so you will not be eligible for this grace period.

So please, make the edits, reach out (via owl) to the Index Team and notify them that you have made the edits.

New Prefect of Hufflepuff

@AngelFyre McCubbin will be our newest Hufflepuff prefect! She's impressed a lot of us with her attention to detail and how she has brought matters to the team as a whole (and also she may happen to be dating fellow prefect pretty-boy Simon Kincaid, I don't know I don't pay attention to what you kids do). This does of course mean that, Howard White will be stepping down. Please pass on your thanks to him and your congratulations to her!

Fresh Sorting Ceremony Thread

It would appear that several new players have posted in the 2022 sorting thread. We will soft-delete those posts shortly, but before we do I am linking everyone to the new Sept 1 2023 Sorting Ceremony Thread.

Please remember to pay attention to the first post in a thread to determine -when- the thread took place.

Adult System Release

The long-awaited Adult System has finally been released. That's right everyone - the adult system is live! There's been a lot of unicorn blood, sweat and tears that has gone into this system, and it's finally ready to be seen and used.

Current adult staff and former adult staff will be trialing this system starting this summer. Stats and abilities will be fixed and sorted for our current staff during the summer. There will be clarifications provided on the system over the coming weeks, and patches released as needed as we gear up for our first student graduates next year! Look out, seventh years! Adulthood is around the corner!
