I don't believe there is a reputable source for the skillset in the first place that forces me to consider that sort of thing. I think it might have been something they read off a fan wiki. Which can be confusing since some look like actual potter resources.

What Lear said. There is no source that says that spells have "translations" in canon. It appears to be that every spell has a set language that needs to be adhered to and paid attention to (pronunciation matters). It might be that there are variants for the same spell in different languages that do more or less the same, but canon gives us no direct proof of that.

I have a suggestion for Quidditch, the Wronski faint is an advanced Quidditch skill for seekers, allow it to be an ability that a Quidditch player can earn in their sixth year. Much like the Patronus Charm can be earned in a student's sixth year.

What does this skill do in terms of the mechanics of the system?

What it does according to the canon resources:
Wronski Defensive Feint, was a tactic in Quidditch where a Seeker would pretend to spot the Golden Snitch far below and race to catch it, hoping the opposing seeker would copy.

As we have moderation that shows what has happened, having a skill that says "the mod says one thing" but you think another would need to be translated numerically. I cannot think offhand of something that we would be able to give to 6th year Seekers exclusively that would be mechanically balanced but I am open to number suggestions. I am not looking to increase the gap further between tenured users and new users by giving them exclusive sports moves from a design standpoint. I might suggest a move to add to the system but the numbers I have in mind would not be exclusive to any particular year if I propose it. However, if there is a specific number idea that makes sense and is balanced by all means.

In terms of mechanics, the Wronski Faint needs to roll for this mechanic, if you get a 19 or more. You will perform the Wronski Faint without falling to the ground yourself, if you roll less than that you will fall to the ground and break most of the bones in the character's body; and like in the 2014 Quidditch World Cup would believe to be something the character is not, a bear, a budgetary gar, a dog. You name it. Now if you were to get a zero, your character would die and your character's soul would be sent straight to the afterlife. As this move is a dangerous one I think some high stakes if you don't get it right, would be something to remember.

While I understand some people might not like it, could we remove the post count from OOC lets chat or similar flood forums to prevent spam, and perhaps have it count all the roleplays you've done, so the new people (who need 20 post counts and 10 days) can get used to roleplaying, and meeting the word count so when they do homework, it isn't so hard and shocking.

As far as I know, games are not counted anyway ^^

Hiya! I was thinking- maybe we could develop some sort of coding forum? I realize there's a donation thread but what I mean is a thread where coders can talk about coding things, ask for help and advice, or share tips. Just so coders know where to turn when they need help with code specifically. I know there's a coding channel on discord exactly like this, so that's kind of what I'm going for, especially since some people don't have access to discord or aren't as active on there.

I was just gonna make it a club or something, but I think it would be nicer if it were one of the pinned forums, just so it can get a bit more attention. I think a good spot for it would be the at the counter forum, along with the RPG Partners Requests and the donation thread.
