You gain access to spells and potions either during the year by getting higher grade than T in completed homework or upon graduation to the next year you get access to all previous year spells and potions. So now as you've graduated to 2nd year, you can post in encyclopedia update and you will have first year spells and potions. EG: Ability XXXXX (first year ability)
I have seen seventh years, for example, applying for their 5th 6th and 7th year together. So, O suppose that you can do it, using such a format.

Players are able to catch up and apply for abilities or stats that they have earned. It is not something that can be done to break caps or give multiple higher level abilities because they "saved up."
