Siobhan's potion accident was the day that her life changed for good. A simple calming draught which should have been an easy walk through for her and her potions partner Matthew Campbell, disasterously exploded in her face causing her eyes to become damaged from the residue that attacked her eyes themselves. Before the accident, her eyes were a beautiful shade of grey that had a softer gold twinge to them around the irises while the grey shades would trickle outwards making them appear almost alive to those who observed them. Her mother used to call them her 'moon gift' and would tell Siobhan that her eyes were a gift from her sign under the Capricorn moon. Her eyes wouldn't ever allow her to hide the emotions she could feel so purely and often whenever she'd cry, her mother would follow the analogy up with a comment about her tears being the droplets from the stars. Siobhan's favorite part of herself was her eyes and she loved to use them for obeservations of herself and others.

Siobhan's accident was a deeply painful one both physically and mentally. Despite the potion only having a mild explosion, it was the heat of the potion itself that scarred her actual eyes. The damage of said potion has at first glance only damaged the surface of her eyes and some magical medical work was able to stop the damage from spreading as quickly as it was trying to. But she was aware that her sight would never be restored to it's full ability and that as she grew older and her eyes experienced more use, the deterioration of her nerves and eyes, pushing her into complete blindness. It is uncertain when or how long it will take for her to go fully blind. Much of it depends on her willpower and ability of magic medicine to help her out. However she will never have the original status of her eyes. So she has decided to keep updates to herself via notes.

As of Initial Accident (01/31/2025): Her eyes and the skin around her eye sockets and eyelids are still bright pink and have level two burns that are being treated with compresses. Her eyes have been wrapped to reduce infection and discussions are being made about what to do for her medical treatment. Her treatment of her nerves and the mitigation of severe damage will come later with more and more frequent medi-wizard hospital trips.

As of Valentine's Event (February 14th, 2025): Siobhan was healed to the ability that she can somewhat see but is still struggling to function (ie. there isn't a chance of infection from the outer burned skin area but the eyes themseleves are still damaged) Truthfully should never have been allowed to go on this trip. Her equillibrium is off, she cannot see in front of her and her vision is full of shadows. This caused her to forget her epi-pen for the Arrival Tea Party because she couldn't see it in her bag and assumed it was there.

Reason for Reapplication: Another user was interested in having their character be related to Axyen Dragonclaw as cousins. I believe this should be possible as Axyen has never actually mentioned a cousin, aunt or uncle of any kind and never implied that his parents did or didn't have siblings. I am unsure if anything else is needed from me though. This user is my friend and their character's name is "Damien Dragonclaw."

Giovanni De'Luca did not leave Hogwarts of his own accord. When he returned home after his first year, it was clear that distance had only sharpened the rift between himself and his parents. The De'Luca family had always been a family of rigid expectations; pureblood pride, family tradition, a future carved in stone (bla blah blah nonsense) and Giovanni, an angsty teenager on the threshold of adolescence, would not follow the script. It was not so much that he gave up all ideals, but that he gave up control, the sudden interest of parents who had paid him little attention when he was a child, now seeking to shape him into an heir worthy of their name. He found the gesture late, insincere, and stifling.The pinnacle was at a high-society event, a formal event he had wanted to, even wished to go to years before, when he would be left behind in the with his nurse while his sisters took on the role of the ideal De'Luca children. But when that dream finally materialized, Giovanni saw nothing but stifling conversation and judgment-filled air. Tired, disinterested, and increasingly disillusioned, he did little to act. After yawning audibly in the middle of the introduction, his parents, particularly his mother, grew irritated and tense. It got worse when, following an awkward altercation with his mother about duty and legacy, Giovanni reacted to her mention of future marriage with an outburst of indignation throwing his drink and inadvertently drenching his great-aunt. The public embarrassment was too much for his family. They blamed Hogwarts for his disrespect, claiming the school had ruined his attitude. Determined to correct what they saw as a dangerous turn of character, they took Giovanni out of school and isolated him on the family estate for a so-called "year of reflection." In reality, it was a rigidly supervised approach to punishment: private tutors, lessons in etiquette, magical theory, and endless lessons in obedience and tradition. It wasn't reform, rather, reconditioning.
Giovanni played the part. He pretended to realign himself with their values, to learn, to listen. In due time, his parents believed he was ready to return to Hogwarts. In truth, he had only perfected the art of concealing his defiance more effectively. Back at school and a year behind, Giovanni returns with both the weight of that lost year and an iron determination to reclaim what was taken from him, not just his education, but also his autonomy.
