Just as Dmitri got up and his blindfold removed, Opeila hit the ground again. Delilah was just full out cackling at this point because this duel was insane, the two slytherins that were feared by half of all the duelling teams combined, were currently taking turns flopping on the ground from a 14-15 year old with a relatively low ability when it comes to spell power. Of course Delilah wasn't laughing at the fact Evelynn's magical strength wasn't as strong, it was just a cherry on top of the cake that it wasn't Alan casting them, it was Eve. While Eve seemed to have fun petrificus totalus-ing everybody on the opposing team, Alan got the chance to heal her up a bit more.

"Oh. Well, that's totally new. Can't say I expected that." The boy rolled his eyes.
This duel is getting old really quickly.

Alan smiled as the duel went on, but he was not at the stage were he would become overly confident. He was well aware that the two vipers were still a big threat to their victory, though he hoped that Evelynn and he himself would manage anyway. He was confident in his abilities even if he knew not to be unnecessarily risky.

Theirs may not have been the most flashy nor the most ingenious, but it was likely there were few in the audience who could argue that the lions were at least effective. Vanes turned his spell towards her, and for the second time, Evelynn felt a sense of warmth and strength course its way through her. The lingering subsided almost entirely, and although her robes would remain singed until she could deal with them later, the burns that had marred her flesh no longer appeared fresh.
"Thank you," she uttered quietly softly, glancing towards her senior. Only briefly, however.
Until then, she had been doing her best to keep the vipers impaired. Turning the battle into a consistent two against one may not have been the most honourable approach, but then again... what was honour in the face of survival? Her last duelling opponents certainly hadn't held back once Marchonné had fallen to leave her alone against them. Hags didn't care. Neither did the shadow. Isolate and strike. A lesson Hogwarts, rather than curriculum, had taught them. As Winters finally tore the cloth from Jones' face, the boy struggled to against Evelynn's curse.
Light flashed to race towards the duo, trying to catch the girl before they could recover and regroup for a renewed offensive assault. Just as Jones pushed himself to his feet, Seilun toppled over. The corner of her mouth curled into a nearly imperceptible smirk at the boy's reaction. No doubt he had intended to come across cutting and bored, but Evelynn could only imagine the bruising to the ego of Slytherin's undefeated "hero". It was entirely more satisfying to see him struggle than it had any right to be.

Ok, maybe not all was bad here. At least this meant that this mean, big bile of a sixth year couldn't run around anymore again while she finally, finally got rid of the goddamn blindfold.
Quickly she moved over to him, turned his head and finally managed to undo the damn knot. Only in time, as she was once again hit by a flash of light.

Delilahs eyes widened, explosions went off on the stage as Dmitri casted confringo, one of Delilah's favourite spells to cast, although definitely one of her least favourite to be hit by. Pei managed to get up from hopefully the last petrificus totalus of the duel, Evelynns evasive movements were good enough only to be hit with some extra shards of the explosion, thankfully because it looked like it hit alan pretty hard. At least Alan got his own back though. Hitting Dmitri with a strong blast of some decently pressurised water. With only one round left in the duel, this could really go either way.

Dmitri cackled maniacally as he watched the rather... explosive effects of his latest spell.
It mirrored perfectly just how over it the Slytherin duelist was. For him, it was high time these duelists saw what proper spellcasting was supposed to look like.
None of that Petrificus bullcrap.
"Awwww. Was I a bit too harsh? Dmitri quipped before laughing out loud.
"I mean, we all knew you were a lost cause right from the start, but at least now you can say you... went out with a bang."

Opeila had not spent a lot of time under the effect of the full body binding curse before this duel and now she could safely say that she hated it. There was nothing she could do but wait, but what was even worse- lying flat on her back she couldn't even really tell what was happening.
Dmitri was getting back up and short after there was a noise like an explosion. And Opeila was unable to do as much as turn her head to see what was happening. Did Dmitri knock out the Gryffindors?
With great effort, Opeila struggled against the spell until she could finally move again. Just in time to roll her eyes at Dmitri's little speech. Someone humble this guy, please.

Alan grimaced as he was hit by the full blast of the Blasting Curse. The pain was quite intense and he ground his teeth together as he readied himself for the last of actions. He knew whatever happened now would have to help the team out. This hit had come at the worst possible time, but he found the other boy's smugness laughable. The fact he prided himself over such a small lead as if it meant him better. Alan knew they were evenly matched so this false pride was idiotic to him. Alan at least had been mature enough to see the other's strength in duelling and has seen it over and over in other duels before it. Alan gripped his wand and glanced over at Evelynn to see how she was holding up, unwilling to give up just yet and even if they lost, this was such a close call it would hardly mean anything about their skill set.

How quickly the tides could turn. Of course it wasn't reasonable to think the they'd be able of keeping the Slytherins team locked down for the full duration of the match, but Evelynn didn't quite think they'd be able to recover with such a ferocious assault. Two lights split off from Jones' wand as he righted himself, and a moment later, Evelynn understood first hand why he was so feared in the sport. The explosion at Vanes' feet left part of the stage sintered, the force enough to send a shockwave that nearly knocked her from her feet. She barely recovered enough to avoid the spell sent her way, but even the cat-like grace that propelled her movements wasn't enough to completely avoid impact. Splintered shrapnel flew out from the point of impact. Teeth grit against the pain as the shards embedded themselves into robe and flesh, brows furrowing with renewed concern and focus as she turned back to their opposition. With both teams standing in full determination, it could still be anyone's game. The end was nigh.
