There was a chance Henry's pessimism was tied to his physical state, and even if it wasn't, all the fire was clearly getting to him physically. She wasn't willing to gamble the value of having a teammate. They had the upper hand numerically, so why would they surrender it? As Henry went for another attempt at Episkey, she incanted Reparifors. The purple light glowed around him, and by the time they were both done, she wasn't feeling quite so worried about how long he could stay on his feet.

Though turned toward Henry, she didn't need to see her wand to know where Lea's spell was going. The incantation was strong indication she was trying the same pattern as earlier, to render her useless and use the time to gun for Henry. Unfortunately, it worked. She was almost fast enough, but almost still left her tongue curling into a knot.

And this one rather hurt, different from the force of a Flipendo or sting of fire but definitely still under the umbrella of that term. It hardly needed to be that tight. But she was fine, though the spell certainly got on her nerves, returning Henry's question with a curt nod. She didn't want him getting distraction for her sake; she could do very little, mostly just take the time to strategize, but he still had his tongue and every cast counted.

Of course they chose to keep their teammate up. Considering they had those spells in their collection and could maintain a 2v1 advantage, it was a pretty straight forward decision. Lea just wished she knew something more on how to counteract it. With two healing, it would be almost impossible to knock any out and make the playing field a little more level. But perhaps...

The fear of having to dodge spells would transform into a will for this spell to go well- better than well, even. She had time, ignoring the storm clouds above her and the Slytherins across the way for just a moment to truly perfect her wand movement. It would be surprise that was most important, waiting half of a second before releasing, "mimblewimble!" Repetitive sure, but it had been working so far, and that was all Lea needed. A chance to somehow turn this around, or at the very least give it her best shot. It hit, thankfully, but that left Lea with one important question, what next? Strategy was a little more challenging with just one.

The Bandger had done it again! Lea had gone into the zone; a trance of concentration. It was a marvel to watch her as she began constructing her next cast. The sing song melody of perfection would once again ring out through the hall. Galton would normally cringe at hearing "Flipendo", but all he could do was grin. The giant bundle of energy shot off toward poor Henry.

Bridget would not be letting it get that far though. She was still fresh, her steps had as much energy as it had when the duel began. She sprung for the flipendo the moment she saw it. Positioning herself to intercept the powerhouse headed to Henry. When the two met Bridget would be shot backwards, hitting the floor with a loud crash. Brutal, but she'd saved Henry from a nasty spell, giving him precious time.

And Henry would use that time well. There would be no failure here, quite the opposite of it. He would not let the spotlight fall solely on Lea. He had magical prowess to match, there would be no doubts shown in his magic now. "Episkey !" Perfect pronunciation, perfect pitch, perfect motion. It was as if the two teams were putting on a concert together. Galton was sure the duel would be music to their professor's ears.

And so this duel turned battle of the bands continued!

Henry took a breath, etes on the hufflepuff across from him. Slowly restoring his energy as he aimed his wand for himself, he knew that he should have aimed for the sole hufflepuff instead especially since his partnered suffered from the tongue tying curse but he was still feeling weak...

"Episkey."

Henry spoke, closing his eyes. Feeling the spell hit him. It felt peacefull, relaxing almost. His muscles loosen and mind refocused, he didn't feel tried or a burning sensation. The teen took a breath. Ready to continue.

Unfortunately he didn't see the hufflepuff aim her wand for him, casting a perfect flipendo. The third year opened his eyes and was to wait to dodge, all he could do is stand there. Bracing for the spell. Ready to faol again...

Taking a step back that was when the spell arrived but didn't hit him. Henry watched as the sparks flew toward him in a uneven line, the teen tensed his body and perpared his mind for the spell. Ready to fall unconscious. To fail... again

However, inches from being reaching him something- no, someone stopped it. Interfere and took the jinx for themselves. Henry looked up, his blue eyes following the person who stopped the spell from reaching him.

Bridget! His partner- captain. The teen stared for a moment at the older year, confused with why she would volunteer to take a spell especially for him. Eyes quickly back on the hufflepuff before the teen took a step closer to his captain- partner and flashed his blue eyes over her.

"Why did you- right you can't answer. Are you alright?"

Henry nodded toward his captain. Partner. She just jumped in front of a spell for him, like earlier in the duel. The third year knew he wouldn't be still standing if she didn't do that.

Not letting his partner's action go to waste, Henry took his stance. Wand in front. Suddenly a new determination and focus brought over him as he stared down the hufflepuff who stood across from him.

Your going to wish that you missed

Bridget knew, with a fair amount of certainty, what Lea would do next. The Hufflepuffs had tried the same earlier, aiming to incapacitate her and knock out Henry. This was the same thing, just with one less person on the stage. And if she knew no spell would be directed at her, she had two options: to stand and watch it happen, of no help, or to intervene.

She chose the latter. It made a mathematical sort of sense; she hadn't taken a single harmful spell and knew from experience she could withstand several, while Henry was probably only hanging on thanks to the healing magic. When Lea performed her magic, brilliant blue light shooting out from her wand, Bridget was ready, springing in front of Henry. She caught the Flipendo perfectly, which meant her plan had worked.

Not that it felt like much of a success. The pure force of the spell didn't register immediately, not until the moment of flying backward had ended with a second impact into the floor. She probably would have said something like ow if she could have, but her tongue was still in its annoying knot. She only half-registered Henry's words and didn't bother trying to answer, still waiting for the shock of impact to fade to a more manageable level. Flipendo was a brutal spell. Still, she was fine. Down, yes, but far from out.

Lea knew Bridget would block her spell.

She just didn't think further than that- into something more productive. Just what was the first thing that came to mind that could work on anyone... the knockback jinx. It was a basic spell, and just hitting one of them would help overall. Sure, they knew healing spells, but that would be an issue for future Lea. Or now Lea, considering Henry seemed focused on something else not aimed at her. It gave her time once again not to worry about spells coming towards her, but how strong of a spell she could create and if it would aim true. The blue light darted across the stage- straight into Bridget.

While it was expected, the hufflepuff still would've preferred hitting the other. The surprise, though, was that her spell knocked the Slytherin down. Brown eyes widened, a shaky breath of shock and relief. There wasn't much time before the two would both be up again, but it gave a little more leeway for the second year. Trying to prepare, Lea made the mistake of looking into the eyes of an angry- or just focused- Slytherin. She'd shoot a glare back, not nearly as confident as the girl would have liked, before truly readying herself for the next wave.

And the bands went quiet. Not the the casting had stopped or anything, but the magical symphony from the round before came to a crashing end.

Lea would work up a nasty head cold for Henry. Her wand glittering as it created a dose of boogies for the boy. The magic was okay, but the words "Mucus ad Nauseam" Galton could only cringe. Not as beautiful as the round before. And her aim was also much less beautiful. Henry would almost not need to move to get out of the way of this spell.

Nor would Lea need to move much to avoid Henry's spell. The blindfold that had been produced from his Obscuro would lazily fly forward towards the Badger. His cast hadn't been bad, it was just his aim. "A shame" was all Galton could think as he watched, one of his favorite spells miss its mark.

And while the two casters played at dueling, Bridget would simply pick herself up off the ground. Galton hadn't caught how hastily she'd done it, but by the end of the round she was standing next to her partner once again. It was almost as if things hadn't changed since a few moments ago. And where would everyone be in another moment!

"Obscuro."

Henry called out, aimimg his wand. Blue eyes watching a blindfold whip through thr air toward the hufflepuff. The spell could finish the duel earlier if it it hits but unfortunately it missed... the teen felt the surge of failure and anxiety flow through him but the third yesr shook back his hair. He needed to stay focus, he couldn't get distracted again by the surrounding duels or within in his own mind.

Dodging to the side at the incoming sparks, glad that the badger's spell flew past him. Henry glanced over at his older partner, nodding toward the girl as he spoke"ready to finish this?" the teen moved his eyes away from the captain.

A part of him feeling better now that she is back in the duel and could cast again. The teen could relax a little with his thoughts circling around his mind, they still have a chance. Two against one. They could win.... right? Henry hoped they could as he readied himself.

The floor was no place to stay. It would probably hurt, getting up--that had been a bruising blow--but the sooner she got back in on the action, the better. She supposed the body block counted as contribution, but as far as casting went, the Mimblewimble had left her incapacitated for longer than she would have liked.

Hands planted on the platform, pushing herself to her feet, she was met with the realization Lea's spell had finally weakened enough for her tongue to uncurl itself. Yes! She was anxious to be able to do something again; there was little to show for in waiting around for a spell to wear off. And she still had things to prove, at the very least to herself, because how much had she truly done so far? She'd landed a few hits and aided with a healing spell, and beyond that it was all misses and tied tongues.

The aim now was to turn that around, to finish this without sloppiness. Ready to finish this? Her thoughts exactly, a nod given in response. Henry might not catch it if he wasn't looking over, but by his side again and ready to go, the focus should speak for itself.

Too much of a good thing. To make up for the amount of time spent with the last spell- Lea would hurry up her spellcasting. Perhaps she was worried by Bridget's movement, a realization that soon enough it would be back to a 2 v 1. Perhaps she noticed Henry's wand aimed towards her- either way the girl decided to cast too soon, not focused as she once was.

"Mucus ad Nauseam." The spell would fly uselessly to the other side, an easy side step to get out of the way. Thankfully, the Slytherin would return an equally well-cast spell; one that she had to move out of the way just a bit in order to not get hit. Thank goodness that she didn't tire from the constant movement of trying to deter spells away from her. The hufflepuff assumed she would have fallen long before. But instead, the second year continued standing. It was almost certain that the Slytherin would win, but it was still her hope and goal to remain up for as long as possible. For now, that just meant preparing for whatever was to come.
