FAQ — Questions
I know reporters conduct interviews, solicit stories, and write stories. They go out into the school and hang out in likely gossip spots and follow leads into the dungons where steange sounds have been heard.

I'm pretty sure editors pick important stories to go after and edit to make sure they fit the paper's format. Possibly also some fact checking, shouting at reporters to meet deadlines, and staying up late worrying why things aren't getting done!

"Writer" is a role tag for all Headliner team members (except the Editor in Chief and General Secretary, IIRC), which are composed of full-time reporters, back-up reporters, editors, and coders/graphic designers.
I see, what do the roles of reporters, and editors do?
To add to what Colin said: The Billboard has a lot of better descriptions of all of the positions!

Another important role, actually, is the engaged reader!

You might write an opinion piece, or perhaps suggest some juicy topic for a story!

Research suggests that a child with a prosthetic limb will need a new device annually up to the age of 5, every two years from the ages of 5 to 12, and every three years from the ages of 4 to 21. So I would assume you would get an updated prosthetic when you are home.

There is something about ambition, how it not only propels you but also defines you.

A correction to this for those who are viewing this but may not have clicked the billboard link: editors are responsible for correcting grammar and spelling as well as making sure that articles stay within our word count. You may be thinking of the role of Editor in Chief with the deadlines/management stuff.

Sage Willows wrote: 9 Aug 2023, 01:34 If something were to happen to Sage’s prosthetic, damage or it becoming outgrown, would she be sent home to get a new one? Or is there a spell of sorts that can fix the damage or make it fit her. She wouldn’t be able to just owl her family and have them send her a new one because she would have to have measurements taken to make sure it’s a perfect fit. Damage or outgrowing a prosthetic is a very common thing in amputees and I want to be able to roleplay Sage’s character in the best possible way.
As Marcus stated, for damage reparo would be used, so that's not a problem.

Sage will be at Hogwarts from age 11 to 18. Lear mentioned that a child of that age with a prosthetic limb will need a new device around every 2 or 3 years. This allows her to get an updated prosthetic leg when she is home. Emery would be able to make small adjustments throughout the school year when it is really needed. However, since the nurse specializes in magical healing and is not an expert on prosthetics, these adjustments won't be perfect. Emery would try to make the prosthetic as fitting as possible, but they would advise Sage to get a new prosthetic as soon as possible.

Can you help people create their ency and stuff if your not a mentor?

FAQ — Questions
There’s not a rule against it, but the best option is linking people towards the mentorship program.

If someone is already in the program, helping with the ency means your taking away from the mentors. Before helping, at least ask for permission from the mentor beforehand.

While helping with an ency isn’t against the rules, opening up a shop and charging to help isn’t stated to be against the rules but would just be wrong.

I’m not a part of staff, so my answers might not be completely accurate. Further answers from staff may answer your question better than I have.

Ok, thanks. I haven’t been able to find any thread about this so I’m gonna ask it here, what are the prerequisites to becoming a prefect?
