With the departure of team members Aurelia Bezuidenhout, Delilah Stewart, and Persephone Nicholas, the Headliner is hereby looking for new members to join our family!

Currently, we are looking for up to 5 writers at most, along with 2 graphic designers. You are able to apply for both positions!

You will notice that applications for our graphics position are just a tad different. We are opening this as its own role, as we realize that not everyone who will want to do graphics would also want to be a reporter. This is also because we are requesting slightly different criteria for our graphics people.

As of today, the Hogwarts Headliner are looking for standalone editors!

Standalone editors:

1. Do NOT write any articles. If you want to be a writer in the future, you will have to wait for us to open up positions for writers.

2. MUST present us with a sample of their ORIGINAL writing, to ensure that they have a good base understanding of grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc.

3. Be active! Activity is a REQUIREMENT for the Hogwarts Headliner. You must be available to work in possibly tight deadlines.

For this round of applications, the Hogwarts Headliner is doing something a bit different. Instead of looking just within the team for candidates for the Secretary position, we are also allowing those not on the team the chance to apply.

Yes, current team members ARE ALLOWED to apply. The vote will not go in favor of either team members or non-team members, and everyone will have an equal opportunity.

This role can only go to ONE PERSON.

The secretary will serve as my second in command, so to speak. They would be the one (if they want to, they can reject this position) to take over my spot when/if I step down. The secretary position will hold admin roles on the Discord channel as well.

The next portion of this application will be all about problem-solving. We have a lot of unsolved problems here on the Headliner, and we would like to see your take on how to fix them.

1. The graphics team is currently struggling with the amount of work turned in compared to how many people are on the team, but applications for the graphics team are sparse. How would you fix this?

2. Very many people are missing deadlines due to things such as school starting up, but we need to try to get everything done in one month. How would you fix this?

3. Lots of people want to join the Headliner, but more people means more work on the graphics division. How would you fix this?

Prerequisites: You need to be active on the site as well as holding a good site presence. ABSOLUTELY needs to be on Discord.

Extra: The role of secretary can also help with Graphics, Editing, and be a Writer. They have access to all the channels on our Discord server, and hold an admin role on the server.

Graphic Designers and/or Artists Needed!

The Hogwarts Headliner is opening its doors to two either graphic designers and/or artists. As a summary for what this role will entail:

This would mean each month, after the writing team has written their articles and they have been edited, you will come together to help format all of the issue. This is done using any system, though Canva has been proposed for future purposes (don't worry, Canva is free).
