Character Backstory:ReducioJuliette Harper Lovelace was born an unfortunate 3 minutes later than her twin sister, Alexandria, to a family that was most definitely not your ordinary one. The first years of her life were spent in Los Angeles with her father, Arthur Lovelace, and her mother, Corinne Fitzroy, along with her twin sister and two other siblings. Her father, who moved to America after high school in order to pursue his career as a photographer, was the second son of an old, wealthy, Muggle family from England and her mother was the daughter of a prestigious Pureblood family in America. When they were first starting out, they began to fall in love and Arthur soon learned of Corinne's magical heritage, which, to Corinne's surprise, did not shock him as it turned out he had a cousin who had attended Hogwarts named Alexandra Prince, who had a daughter currently attending Hogwarts called Dealla. Once their careers began to take off and America was introduced to Arthur's concert photography and Corinne's beautiful voice, they became quite a popular couple and so it only made sense for them to quickly get married once Corinne had discovered she was pregnant.
Despite their fame, Juliette's parents made sure to keep their kids' lives private and away from the prying eyes of fans and the media, which was especially important due to Corinne's magical background. The kids' privacy meant that Juliette grew up with a relatively normal childhood, which meant that she would not be considered famous or recognisable in both the Muggle and magical world.
Growing up, Juliette learned about both sides of her family: the magical and Muggle side. She would learn basic Muggle subjects in school and then wizarding subjects at home, allowing herself to have the best of both worlds and to be prepared for her wizarding education should she turn out to be magical. She was never as active as her sister was, but she still participated in sports sometimes (mainly when Lexie would drag her along), and she always had somebody to hang out with, whether that was her twin, friends, or her cousins. Therefore, from an outside glance it appeared she had a perfect life, which was actually far from the truth. Arthur and Corinne's marriage had started to grow increasingly tense throughout the years; the stress of their careers and getting married young had simply caused them to fall out of love with each other. Plus, the differences in their upbringing and lifestyles had created a divide between the two and they would never be able to understand each other fully. Of course, they had to keep up the appearance of being in love in public, but not everything was as it appeared behind the scenes.
In January 2020, Arthur had to move back to England after getting news that his older brother had died in a sailing accident and the entire family travelled with him to attend the funeral. He was convinced to stay in England by his parents since he was now the heir to the Lovelace title, and they wanted him close after his brother's death. He had agreed, but had forgotten about Corinne and their life back in America in the midst of it all. It appeared that this would be the breaking point in their marriage, as Corinne didn't want to give up her life or say goodbye to her family, and so she packed her bags in the middle of the night and left, leaving only a note behind to explain her departure. The divorce papers were quietly signed in the months after; Arthur and Corinne had officially split after eight years of marriage.
For obvious reasons, this was an extremely hard and confusing time for Jules and her siblings. They were sent to boarding school to get away from the messy situation at home and to avoid the American press that were still trying to hound Arthur for answers about the divorce. Jules didn't particularly mind boarding school, as she found that she fit in quite well and it was easy enough to make friends, but Lexie had some trouble clashing with teachers and the need to always defend her twin sister meant that Jules would often end up in trouble with her teachers and fellow authoritative figures.
By the time Jules and Lexie received their Hogwarts acceptance letters, they hadn't been surrounded by magic in years and their knowledge of it had become quite limited, though they still knew of its existence. Though, it had always been thought that Juliette and her siblings would end up attending the American school, Ilvermorny, but since they now lived in England, it turned out that they would be attending Hogwarts instead. So, on the 1st September 2024, Juliette stepped onto the Hogwarts Express with her sister Lexie to begin her Hogwarts journey.
First Instance of Magic:ReducioJuliette's first instance of magic occurred at boarding school when she was nine. It was after school and the sun had started to break through after a morning of heavy rain, so she wanted to play outside with her friends and Lexie, even though there were puddles all over the ground. Everything was fine until she had unfortunately slipped and fell into a puddle during a game of tag, causing her hair and clothes to be ruined by muddy water. Fortunately, just as Jules was beginning to cry and throw a temper tantrum over everything being ruined, she stood up and found herself magically dry, with not a hint of water on her.

A parselmouth
- An ability which was quite common for the house of White in the past but now had been lost to time until NOW. I am the first in many centuries to get this ability. Parselmouths are stereotypically considered to be dark wizards/witches. That is not at all true for me. I consider being a parselmouth a blessing. Many people speculate that just because I am a parselmouth that belongs to House Phoenix, I would be the black sheep of family. That is far from the truth. While yes, I do admit I have abilities previously unknown to House Phoenix, but I am also a member of House White. The Ouroboro's sign on my wrist is an indication of that. In the saga of House White, though rare, there were many instances of parselmouths and all of them had significant impact of the Wizarding world- both good and bad. I believe it is the intent that is evil and not a skill or a spell. Even a simple lumos done with the intent can make a person go blind.....

My parselmouth was discovered when I was around 7 years old. It happened when me and Emily were playing in the forest near our mansion

We were so deeply indulged in playing with each other that we forgot to mind where we are going. When we finally realized where we were, we were shocked. Though, we were not that deep into the forest, but the forest was filled with great variety of animal species - both magical and muggle. On our way back, we encountered a grass snake who was blocking our way. When it was obvious that the snake would not let us go. In a desperate attempt, I spoke and thus came the sound
Fascinated about this new discovery, I searched and rummaged through many-many books as to find from where and how I have inherited this ability. I searched for days. After all that hardwork, I finally found the reason. Turns out, one of the ancestor in the white family by the name of Martin White, married a squib daughter of an ancient family. Perhaps, it was her who brought the parsel blood in the House White. Initially, there were many parselmouths, but as the blood diluted more and more. There were less and less appearances of parsel speakers. To this date, I still have my doubts as to why it was only awakened now, after so many centuries. I have my speculations but I strongly believe that the blood of the House of Phoenix plays a major and important role in this development. I aim to one day find the true reasons to why I was blessed with this ability...........

Once when I was in the White House library, looking through different books, I found an interesting book-'The Sage of White and his legacy'. On opening and reading the book, I got to know that it was about a 'Eugene Vermouth White' or commonly known as the white sage in that time. It was his biography. All of his acts, his deeds- everything-, it was all in that book. He was the first known and recorded parselmouth. He was a very strong wizard. He was the one who raise House White to soaring heights. While, one can’t trace back the origins of house white, it was often presumed that House White was founded by Eugene White. At the end of the book, there are written unreadable words in a different language which I suspect to be ‘parsellingua’

Despite being a parselmouth, I could not read those words until now, I am unable to understand the reasons. I can just hope that perhaps one day I would be able to understand what was written in that book......

A happy family, which consists of Dark, Mother Emma Phoenix nee White Father Sherl Phoenix, and an elder sister Emily Phoenix (who is 3 years older than me). My parents are high ranking officials in the 'Department of Magical Law Enforcement'. All of them dot over me and love me dearly. I in turn love them a lot. I can do anything to help and protect them especially my sister and my mom. I am second in Heir to House of Phoenix, while Emily is the first heir. Unlike what people might think, I have no intentions to fight with my sister over the heirship. I have no as such a strong fascination towards leading the clan. My sister can do that job very well. Yes, but if she asks for my assistance, I would do everything in my power to help her.
But As far as house of white in concerned, it choses its lord based on the individual aptitude and prowess. The last true lord was my Mother's Great Grandfather - Damien White, one of the strongest and most influential person to ever live. With our combined wealth of both the houses, it easily surpasses others and makes us the wealthiest family in magical Britain.
But, for the past few years, our parents have gotten very busy. Between adhering to their work and attending Wizengamot meetings, their is no time for me and Emily. Thinking about that gives a small sense of bitterness and resentment. For the past few years, me and Emily are all we have. She cares for me and in turn I do so. I know both of them love us very much, it's just that they are absent from our lives for a huge part of our life. They come late at night and leave early in the mornings, sometimes it is days when I even see them. I can just hope, that their work load ends quickly and we can go back to normal......

First Instance Of Magic
Reducio
My first instance of magic was when I was around, I should say 3 years old. My father put me to sleep, but I guess, I turned around so much in my sleep that I was about to fall. Thankfully, my parents already charmed my bed to let them know immediately if such a situation arises. They rushed up immediately and found out that I had already fallen from my bed but I had conjured a cushion to break my fall. I guess, a person in deep sleep can go to any height to protect his sleep.

There are a few things you need to edit before I can approve you.
-Your backstory, not including your FIOM, needs to be 220 words or more. It is currently 138.
-You cannot have coloured font in your trunk. Please remove this.
Status: Pending, Dusana, 12 July
Being a Parselmouth does not grant you exceptional abilities beyond a mere mortal. It does not grant you "His magic was a force of nature, capable of bending reality to his whim. His spells were laced with Parseltongue, the language of serpents, which he spoke with uncanny fluency. His incantations could summon maelstroms, conjure walls of flame, and reduce his enemies to ashes with a mere thought" due to lacing spells with Parseltongue. A spell has exact incantations when not said properly can backfire and not work. Changing them into another language would not allow them to work here. Being a Parselmouth does not give you powers to reduce people to ashes with a thought. There is no spell, potion or ability that can do that on this site. Please edit this section.

I've had another look at your parselmouth application. A few things I did not pick up on before have come up.
-The first paragraph describes parselmouths in general and is not about your character. Not counting these words, your application is only 466 words, and will need to be added onto.
- You cannot be related to Slytherin. This needs to be changed.
-You mention a green snake, which is not native to Britian. Grass snakes are. Please change this.

Ayumi was born on 06 Aug, 2013, to Yutai Faeri and Emiko Daphne. They did not decide on a name before her birth, which is unfortunate. The couple's pet goldfish died not long before Ayumi's birth, due to old age, much to the couple's sadness. Therefore, they decided to name their daughter Ayumi, which means beautiful fish.
Ayumi was raised in a very serious environment. Her parents are high-ranking officials from the Ministry Department of Magic Law Enforcement, and thus are very busy. They would jump at any chance to get to know more powerful people, whether in magical strength or in positions. The girl is also taught subconsciously to always present herself the best way she can manage.
She could tell that her parents put great faith in her, especially after they told her about her first instance of magic. Therefore, she tries her best to make them proud, whether it is by imitating their stoic demeanor, listening to them and obeying their commands. They would sort of reward her appropriately with some sweets that she likes (she still enjoys every flavour beans quite a lot) when her performance is exceptionally well.
However, the part she likes the most is being praised by them... By anyone, at all, but mostly them.
So she conformed herself to their standards to get more 'praise', and when they are happy, she is happy too. That is why she slowly turned into a person who is very similar to her parents. However, there is that glimmer in her heart that compels her to kindness and tells her that she should have her own personality instead of always listening to her parents' words.
As of year one, Ayumi is an only child, and her parents do not really plan on having more children as of now.

Profile FIOM: She was able to float without any aid. Ayumi was not able to control where she went. When she was about one year old, she was able to float above her carriage after her parents relented and gave her a piece of the flavoured jelly bean candy.
Full FIOM: Ayumi was only a baby when her first instance of magic occurred, so she did not know what exactly happened. Her parents would recount to her the incident years later, full of pride for their little girl as her instance of magic happened very early on in her life. Her parents felt that it shows that she is extremely gifted in magic.
So the story was that when Ayumi was still a baby, her parents held out a pumpkin every flavor bean to eat. As soon as little Ayumi saw the yellow and orange bean, she screamed and screamed for the sweet. Unable to put up with her pleads and shouts, Ayumi's parents finally relented and gave her the candy. Very happy now, she suddenly floated a bit above her baby carriage and kept rising until she reached the ceiling. She squealed to be let down, but could not control where she went. Her father had to get a ladder to retrieve her from her place on the ceiling. He could have used a spell, yes, but he was worried that it might hurt his little daughter, so he did it manually.
Her parents are ecstatic, however, as this means that their daughter is magical, just like them. However, even to this day, Ayumi does not know if they are happy because their daughter would not be scorned for the rest of her life, or because their reputation would be further boosted by a powerful child.

Rachel Greenford was born and raised in a coastal town. She has two older brothers, Thomas and Samuel, who have taken care of her with tender care since she is the youngest of three siblings. Her parents, Alice and John, run a small business in tourism; therefore, their home is always busy every day with activity from paying guests and locals alike. This environment helped in shaping Rachel's personality to be friendly and extroverted.
Rachel's childhood, spent next to the sea, was full of excitement. Each new day meant a new cliff to be discovered, a new beach to be combed, or a new hidden cove to be explored. She built an immense love for nature and the process of discovery. Her brothers were her daily companions, and through various adventures, they created undeniable bonds with one another. Rachel picked up at a very tender age the value of graciousness and hospitality from her parents, who treated each visitor with concern and compassion.
The discovery of Rachel's magical powers was quite a surprise and was really upheaving to her life. Exactly one week before her eleventh birthday, Rachel had gone to try and skip stones on the East Lyn River. In doing so, she cast one stone perfectly, hitting a large rock along the edge and shattering it. Her brothers dismissed this as just a fluke, but Rachel somehow knew something extraordinary had happened. This suspicion was confirmed when someone from Hogwarts knocked on her door and informed her that she was to attend a new magical school in the fall. Her family, while taken aback at the revelation, came around with open hearts. They were very supportive to Rachel in her preparations for this new chapter of life at Hogwarts, even amidst the complications of having to balance her magical education with her Muggleness.

Rachel's first accidental magic occurred a week before her eleventh birthday. On one of those sunny summer afternoons, she played with her brothers near the banks of the East Lyn River in Lynmouth. They had gone on one of their many adventures to a secluded spot where the river opened into a small pool surrounded by mossy rocks and beautiful overhanging trees. Rachel was trying to skip stones across the water, something her brothers had done forever and still continued to challenge her with, but she had yet to conquer. This was her third try at getting a rock to skid across the top of the water. She was more or less just mimicking the movements of her brothers mindlessly. However, on Rachel's third flick of the wrist, the stone sailed across the water, skipped to the other side of the pond, and smashed a large moss-covered rock in two. Her brothers exchanged confused glances but quickly wrote it off as the wind being the reason the stone hit the rock "just right" for it to break in two. She had a feeling that there was much more to what happened, haunting her until the day a representative came to Rachel and her family to discuss Hogwarts and the Wizarding world and inviting her to attend a new school in the fall.

She hated her parents for always being so rude to each other and escaped from their manor in the backyard and sometimes even in the forest to spend time alone near the fountains. The sound of falling water soothed her soul and she loved talking to toadstools.
Venus has now grown to be quite but she is also having certain negative personality traits like being over sensetive and getting extremely raged at times or rather to say she has become hysteric. Sometimes Venus is very talkative and sometimes she won't say a word, but she's got wise going through all the trauma.
Venus can be considered as nice, humble, and friendly as a person.
- Venus, character sketch:
Venus is a tall and lean girl. To be particular, her height is 146cm. She has black, shiny, short, straight hair. She's also having dark brown, doe eyes. And a button nose, measuring 6cm in length. She has cool undertones, and yellowish pale skin resembling the colour of an yellow hibiscus.
First Instance of Magic: At the age of 6, (it was noticed by her mother) she accidentally sent her feeding spoon flying towards the window, while she was over excited in anger for feeding her porridge three days in a row. It was evident she had magic in her.

ReducioIn the Hana family tree (on Seinaru’s mother’s side), it is common to have talented or highly praised women in each generation. His grandmother used to be one of the highly praised Auror’s and her last dying wish to her squib daughter (Seinaru’s mom) was to give birth to a daughter so that ‘she’ can continue the family legacy. The moment the doctors announced that the baby will be a male, that’s when Seinaru’s mom felt disappointed. But she told herself that she’d make the best of it. But due to Seinaru’s mom’s love for her husband, she decided to try and love Seinaru. Meanwhile for Seinaru’s father, he didn’t mind having Seinaru as a son.
Seinaru’s father was more present than his mother, but he couldn’t help but feel lonely during his childhood since both his parents were working & his sister was attending highschool school which usually leaves him alone with a babysitter. Seinaru isn’t close to his mother at all. He feels that she gives him the bare minimum as a parent. He was given food, took him to school & helped to shower him when he was younger but she doesn’t take genuine interest to get to know him. His father was the only support he could rely on and his older muggle sister but he doesn’t see his sister much due to her busy life in muggle school

Reducio
When he was nine years old, while waiting for Chihiyo to pick him up he recognised one of his classmates walking back home with their own mom and laughed from happiness. He didn’t pay much attention and brushed it off. But as the days continued, he kept on noticing other kids having loving mothers that’d ask them how their day was, how their moms packed their favourite lunch and how they hug their children for comfort. Seinaru couldn’t help but feel envious to all of those actions. As his babysitter picked him up from school, he couldn’t help but feel upset about the case. ‘Why doesn’t my mom hug me after school? Why does she never ask me about my favourite things?’ was running through his mind, even when he got home too. As he finished washing himself up, he wanted to see what was for lunch. As he opened the fridge, he noticed that Chihiyo gave him leftovers because she was out working. That was enough to make his heart boil from anger, the leftover was the food that he disliked but then he remembered that he didn’t tell Chihiyo that was his least favourite food and just ate it so she never asked him about it for all these years. As anger filled up his body, his mind was brought back to his classmates and their loving mothers giving them genuine love. That’s when he had enough. He took the container containing the food he didn’t like and started gripping onto it tightly, tears rolling down his cheeks as his mind thought of why his own mother never even tried to have genuine interest to know him. She never even noticed Seinaru’s frown when he receives that food as if she turns a blind eye to him. That’s when things became weird. Seinaru’s emotions were all over the place, and suddenly the glass container in his hands started to shake including his surroundings and in a split second the container started to... float? Seinaru's fury was replaced with a flabbergasted expression. He didn't notice the vases were also floating but after a few seconds, the babysitter decided to check up on him all the items dropped back to the surface, some shattered including the container he held but he had the time to release the container to prevent injuring himself. The babysitter witnessed the whole thing, and even she was bewildered. Before the babysitter was about to question Seinaru, he had already fainted from exhaustion and he was luckily captured by the babysitter's arms. While he was unconscious on his bed, the babysitter told his mom about the matter and Chihiyo’s mind clicked. That’s the day where her perspective of Seinaru changed. Maybe slightly, but she realises that if she could just make him into an Auror… she might even change her mind on how she’s thankful to get him and not another baby girl.

ReducioIt was a crisp New York January, the fallout from Christmas was spreading through Star Lake and yet still, Claudia's 10th birthday was fast approaching, and the Kerr's wallets were fast dwindling, so her parents came up with a steadfast, cost effective way to celebrate her birthday: they would hike and venture in the Five Points Wilderness that sat right outside their front doors, something that the family would regularly do during the week, but this time they would camp so that, when Claudia awoke on her birthday, she would wake to the birds, deer, wildlife and, most importantly, her family.
The family spent most of their time exploring this wilderness, observing the natural state of the beautiful place they lived, watching the beavers build their dams, or finding somewhere unoccupied where Inès and Thomas could practically teach their daughter about the magic she could wield without the prying eyes of muggles. With the route and shortcuts practically engrained into her brain, what would've been a two-day trek turned into a couple of hours before they spotted, in the near distance, the lake by which they would be setting up camp, before her father turned to her mother and said:
"Oh, I forgot! We need wood for the fire, for your special birthday s'mores. You know the way, don't you, Claudia? It's just a five minute walk."
"Yeah, of course. I can make it, don't worry." Claudia smiled politely, looking back out towards the lake.
"Good. It'll getting dark soon, make sure you get there okay. We'll be as quick as you can but, you can handle it. See you there."
And with that, her parents walked back off, leaving Claudia to continue on the path. She knew where she was going, you take a left when you see the rotted tree and keep going, look up at regular intervals to make sure you can still see the lake and-
Where was the lake? Looking around, she began to realise she had no idea where she was. Should she have taken a right? That's strange, because she had been sure that it was a left. She didn't begin to panic, just took a deep breath and retraced her steps back to the tree, the rot spiralling in a way that seemed different to before, but suddenly turned back to exactly how it had been before once she blinked. She turned left to continue on the right path and got a few steps in before she heard the crunching of grass and leaves in the distance, surely her parents with the firewood. And she wasn't at the campsite yet like they'd told her to be. She'd have to be quick.
Quickening her pace now that she knew where she was going, Claudia paced through the pathway. All around her, the sounds seemed to be... getting louder? The footsteps didn't sound like two different people, it sounded like just one, but she knew what her parents sounded like and it definitely wasn't that. Who else would be out in the wilderness with her? She didn't know anybody, not really, except her parents. Her parents, who would hopefully be at the lake by now. Where she should be. Where it would be safe. Claudia wasn't one to worry, or to run, but in this moment she did both. Well, she speed walked. She didn't trust herself not to trip.
The noises grew louder. She began to run. Quicker and quicker until she pushed through the foliage to get to-
Nothing. Not her parents, with the campfire ready to celebrate. Only the dark lake glimmering under the midnight moon. The moon, which was full.
Her parent's ghost stories flooded back into her mind as blood rushed to her head, all those bedtimes scared to leave her room or even her bed in case a werewolf would attack her, even though she knew that was feasibly impossible. But this wasn't impossible, it was very real and happening right now.
"Dad? Dad, are you there? Please, where are you? Mom..?"
The noises were getting closer, and as much as she wanted to stay where she knew her parents would show up to save her, (if they showed up) she knew she had to run. She broke off into a sprint, heading to the lake, watching her bolting reflection of the water below the moon, glowing like some strange omen. She watched the water for a split second, before spotting another reflection behind her, a large animal that definitely wasn't either of her parents. A short scream escaped her mouth before the pain started, and everything went black.
It was all a fog behind her eyes when she awoke. Or, she thought she was awake. The uncomfortable yet familiar material beneath her felt like her living room couch, yet the throbbing sensation in her left arm didn't feel familiar at all. Claudia's eyes flittered open, spotting her parents outside the open door looking... she couldn't identify the emotion. They looked scared and yet.. disgusted at the same time? She could hear snippets of their conversation, the words 'diseased' and 'werewolf' and 'Edin-burger' (or was it Edinburgh? She couldn't tell) floated around her haze-like state before she was drifting off again, hearing the faintest plans of her imminent departure from the family in order to 'keep them safe'.
She thought she would spend her tenth family with her parents and the open ground, watching as beavers and deer roamed the early morning peacefully, but instead she spent her birthday alone, watching as her parents argued about her life in the other room, and with her only present being a curse she'd been taught to avoid all her life.
character backstory:
ReducioInès Clément was born in Marseille, France in the autumn of 1975 to Dianne and Adrien Clément, two wizards of no notice but in possession of a flighty yet very real American Dream. Because of this, she ended up spending only five years in the balmy sea port before having to pack up her things and follow her parents to America, where they eventually settled in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The transition was hard, as where her parent's aspirations had been answered their borderline bigotry within the wizarding world grew. They had been around mostly wizard borns and pure-bloods back in France, and the family hadn't been prepared for the sheer abundance of proud wizards who were none of these, or even those who were not even human at all. No, the family simply couldn't stand for that, and this behaviour seeped into Inès, growing a hatred for anything non human, but she was especially scared of werewolves, and the stories her parents would weave in order to scare her into going to bed earlier.
But eventually she did make friends, learn a new language and she even encountered magic for the first time, which earned her a place at Ilvermorny, a wizarding school quite different to her parent's alma mater of Beauxbatons, so yet again it was a learning experience for which she couldn't rely on her parents to solve.
Ilvermorny was truly a eye-opening experience for Inès, in both a bad and a good way. On one hand, she was around the very people she had been raised to hate, but on the other she met some of her best friends, including her future husband Thomas Kerr, a New York native with outdaded ideals and her own shared prejudices. They spent their school days together and rotated holidays with both his family in New York and her parents, who had split up during her third year and were currently displaced in Marseilles and the new city of Los Angeles, the family seemingly cursed with never being able to stay in one place for so long. After graduation the couple quickly married and got their own place together a few hours away from Thomas's parents.
And finally, on an uneventful day in a seemingly uneventful Upstate New York winter, a one Claudia Eugènie Kerr was born at home in Star Lake. Her addition to the family was unplanned, but her early days were those full of warmth where the love seemed to lack, spending her time learning all about her magical heritage, or out on hikes in the wilderness and lakes around her home town, one time begging her oblivious parents to get her 'one of those blue drinks' from a bright store when they stumbled too close to a neighbouring town (which ended up as a very confusing conversation with a teenage 7/11 worker who just wanted to go home)
Seeing as she was home schooled by her parents, Claudia spent a lot of time under their influence rather than around other children, but she made up for it by always asking her parents everything. However, none of their answers seemed to make sense, their judgment clouded by their rash views about the world around them, so Claudia always double and triple checked all the facts, never stooping to their level or letting their bigotry pass onto her, she wants to be somebody that someone, somewhere, will look up to and not just see their intolerant views.
However, after the particularly difficult week of her 10th birthday, her parents announced that they she was invited to stay with her Aunt Naomi and her partner in Edinburgh, Scotland. This came as a shock, as she had only heard about Naomi through stories passed back and forth at the dinner table, but she quickly went to pack her bag, or several bags are her parents would make her do, as what seemed to be a quick Scottish getaway quickly turned into moving completely. Confused yet always open to whatever life threw at her, she found herself finally meeting Naomi and her partner, a potion-maker called Micaela, and travelling with them to their shared house in Scotland's capital.
After a rocky acclimatation to both living in a major city and that major city being in a completely continent, Claudia began to love life in Edinburgh more than she did back home, learning more than she ever could whilst within such a progressive environment, even discovering her own magical capabilities, which meant a letter through the door inviting her to Hogwarts, yet again repeating the cycle of yet another wizarding school, but with her newfound knowledge and thinly masked identity, Claudia was ready for her new journey.
first instance of magic:
ReducioAt age 10, during a daily stint reading one of Micaela's potions books in their house in Edinburgh, Claudia zoned out whilst turning the page and accidentally cut her fingertip on the paper. She turned around to call to Naomi but, as she opened her mouth, she found the papercut had magically healed.

Character Backstory:
ReducioEstranged from Aster's esteemed Pureblood family in London, the Blanchetts—alongside Aster's sister Veronica and her husband—abandoned the city to find a home in England's southern peninsula. It was here, in a small home on Pentreath Lane, that Maeve was born. Small, blonde, and altogether quite average, she never quite stood out amongst her peers as being notably strong or tall or beautiful. And it wasn't that she was introverted, per se, it was simply she found herself preferring instead to surround herself with parchment, flower pots, and potion bottles within the comfort of her own home.
At only a few years old, Laurel and Aster quickly found their daughter to be quite a handful, leaving a trail of debris and disaster wherever she went. Maeve never quite grew out of this endless fount of energy and chaos, and at eleven years old she was still searching insistently for new hobbies or learning, a whirlwind of curiosity and ingenuity.
A bit fantastical and perhaps detrimentally inquisitive, Maeve could often be found following her mother around her greenhouse, stealing glances at the plants, roots, and seeds that filled the room. Most went to supply the local apothecary, of course, but every year, in a small corner, there was a strange new growth, a leaf shape or a fruit she'd never seen before: Laurel's newest project. And although she'd never quite gotten a straight answer regarding the purpose of these experiments, she'd gotten the idea that her mother had experienced some rather varied levels of success. It was from her mother that Maeve inherited a green thumb and a penchant for keeping small pots on her windowsill filled with flowers, herbs, fruits, and anything else she could pilfer from the greenhouse.
Her father's workshop held no shortage of its own curiosities within its dusty shelves and disorderly drawers. Always a tinkerer, Aster fancied himself an inventor of sorts, creating both magical and non-magical devices he claimed would benefit the world. Maeve fancied herself an apple fallen not far from the tree, but she didn't quite have the natural knack for inventing that her father displayed. He took it upon himself to keep Maeve occupied during her downtime—a smart choice he began to make several summers ago following a bit of a messy mishap the family now referred to as the Ink Incident.
Upon receiving her Hogwarts letter, Maeve didn't have room to be nervous or scared. Sure, being away from her family was something to be apprehensive of, and she wasn't quite sure what to expect outside of the tales of adventure and mayhem she'd heard from her parents, but she her curiosity outweighed all else. It was a thrill to see what this next adventure would bring.
First Instance of Magic:
ReducioIt was in her father's workshop that Maeve, just days before her seventh birthday, first showed hints that her family's magical lineage hadn't skipped a generation. Young, an only child, and a bit lonely, Maeve often pestered her father until he relented and helped her work on a project of her own, a concession which brought her great joy. It was merely a small sculpture, a mouse made of wire and bolts and tin to keep her company in her small bedroom, but it was the time Maeve got to spend with her father that kept her coming back. As Aster helped her twist the last whisker into place—the final touch on two weeks' worth of efforts and a final product that she was justly proud of—it began to move. All six of the mouse's small whiskers twitched before rolling into loose spirals, like a silly French moustache on the small metal rodent. Although absurd, Aster appeared to be overjoyed by this new sculptural detail, and the little companion still sits by Maeve's bedside to this day.

Race/Talent: Metamorphmagus Application here:
Character backstory:ReducioHolly is born from a good bit of her family who were Metamorphmagi. She had 9 family members who were a Metamorphmagus. Her fathers side had witches and wizards who were Metamorphmagi, but probably only around 2. It was rare for his side to have witches or wizards at all. Her mothers side made up most of the Metamorphmagi in her family, there being 7 on her mothers side, so it was not extremely rare, just rather uncommon. The 9 witches and wizards, 5 female and 4 male. The first Metamorphmagus is her grandmother, Leanna McKorra from her mother’s side. She was a nice woman, and was extremely good at baking. She always entertained Holly in questionable but effective ways, mostly just changing hair color. Next was her grandfather from her fathers side, Kyle Neilson. He always seemed to be changing his hair color every month, and for some reason younger Holly was not questioning one bit about it. His natural hair color was a lighter shade of brown than Holly’s. Next was her grandmother on her father’s side, Crystal Neilson. She was a rather pale woman with blonde hair, which did not do her much good. She was slightly strict, but still had fun with Holly. She was fairly short, but oh well. The rest are on her mothers side. Her cousin, who was around 21, maybe 23 at most, who was male and still living in his parents house. His name is James McKorra. His hair was brown, he was around 6’5, and he was in the military. He was practically in his room all the time, so he’s practically the Bigfoot of the house. Next was Thompson McKorra, her grandfather. He was a tad taller than Leanna, but a little shorter than James. His hair is naturally black. He was a cheerful man who is currently working at an animal shelter. Next was Fawn McLoyd, her cousin. An extreme Percy Jackson fan and American. She’s around 11, and has freckles across her face. Her hair is normally in a braid, and a long, natural blonde color. She was living proof that blondes were not dumb, as she was reading on a 10th grade level with a 9th grade math level. The last family member was a distant relative, female, around 4’5. Her aunt Sarah Victoria. She generally did not use her talent very often. Anyways, it is slightly uncommon on her mothers side to be a Metamorphmagus, but rare on her fathers, and she is more like her mother to be honest. Lastly, her favorite cousin, Delana Spyrical, who had extremely long, brown hair which appears black from a distance, 15 and seemingly mature when in public, but a tad childish when at home. She smells of freshly baked cookies, and sometimes peppermint. She has a good sense of humor and a younger sister, but we don’t talk about that. She’s skinny and plays softball. She is extremely good at softball and has a strong connection with Holly, and normally changes hair colors to cheer Holly up when she’s sad. She has a lot of relatives, and only 9 of them or Metamorphmagi, but it would not be surprising if she was a Metamorphmagus.
Reducio
Holly's mother worked at a bakery, where she was doing whatever she'd normally get up to whenever her parents were working. Her father was a muggle, her mother a witch. She wasn't too troublesome for most, but if you somehow made her mad (Which is quite a feat considering she does not get mad easy) then you better pray that whenever you even try to remotely talk to you she will not be very good about it. She has 4 close friends and 1 who is not necessarily that close with her, whose names are Luna McClain, Kayla McClain, Ella McClain, and Annabeth McClain. All siblings, if you're wondering. The person she's not very close with is Lila Mandora. She is naturally the type of girl you see doing dance of some sort in her freetime, or just doing whatever she feels fits her mood. So, for all someone knows is that she could end up making around forty rubber band bracelets and then take them apart and make it again to release anger. Weird coping mechanism, I know. Mind you she also has a scar on her upper leg which is visible that she got whenever her parents were not home. She was cutting paper for a school project and dropped the scissors, which cut her leg pretty badly which she simply bandaged, picked up the scissors and put on sweatpants so her parents didn't see, which is why her parents never knew. She normally was under some form of shade during recess at her school, or in her free periods just somewhere with her friend group. After school she'd sometimes help her parents in the bakery, or she'd be at home in her bedroom decorating whatever she can find, whether it's her reading corner or the roof. She is normally practicing fouettés (I know probably 99% of you don't know what they are, so please google a video of it because I don't know how to explain it) or choreographing a new dance routine. Then again, she already had a solo she had made and danced around 30 times, which was now stuck in her head. She's extremely good at ELA, but terrible at math. If someone asked her to do mental math with division or something because her life depended on it she will not be able to. That's how bad it is. She is also partly Indian from her mother's side and since her school does a thing called Indian Ed she goes to that once a month. She is naturally gifted at story writing and works on that over the summer. The day she got her letter was a rather weird one. Keep in mind her and her friend group are sometimes made fun of, but they don't really care unless it's extremely bad. Her and her mother were on the couch since her father was making a cake for a co-worker's birthday when an owl flew through the open window, dropping the letter and leaving. Holly then grabbed the letter, showing her mom before opening it. As she read it, more disbelief was appearing in her mind before a very long explanation came from her mother like when she had her first instance of magic, which she forgot about until that day.
First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Holly's first instance of magic was at the bakery, where her parents were baking when she was looking at a cake, wondering how to decorate when it just suddenly hovered up into the air, went to the other side of the room and sat right back down on the floor. Holly was 10 when this happened, and quite confused, might I add.

A few things before I can approve you:
-Your FIOM must be added into your encyclopedia page.
-Your metamorhpagus application reads too much of why Holly, or you really, wants this and what she would do with the talent. That is not a reason to have it. It would be why she has it. You can expand more on her family background or or, at this point in time, small talents such as changing hair colour. She would not be able to turn into a duck or anything of the like.
