Cynthia looked a bit disheveled and much the worse for wear. She really needed to work on her stamina after this duel. It was impressive for her to come this far but it would be hard to continue like this, especially if she was paired up with someone, who couldn’t heal in the future. Once again, Eun-ji did her best to help but it was difficult, considering both Slytherins set their minds on taking Cynthia out of the game as soon as possible. It was a solid strategy and it was most likely to succeed. Still, that didn’t mean the Ravenclaw planned to give up. She’d do her best no matter what.

If nothing else, at least Monica missed again but Starlee didn’t. Eun-ji internally winced as the well-aimed Incendio Duo hit her teammate. She really hated that spell. Not a great experience for a first duel…she would know. Well, what’s done is done. We just have to do our best to try and salvage the situation somehow.

Posting on behalf of Cynthia Beaufort, who is no longer on site.
Ouch that one hurt, even the healing only fixed a majority of it, along with being set on fire, it was generally speaking, an unpleasant experience. The sizzling of her robes paired with the annoyance of missing her target combined made for quite the disappointing round. Hopefully it could only go up from there?

Duelling really was an amazing sport to watch. Four duellists cast four distinct spells at one another, and Nessie marveled at the variety of the sport, and the skill and versatility of the duellists before her.

However, overall their evasive skills seemed to be much stronger than their aim. Nessie was accustomed to a lot of misses in her own duels (and was perhaps beginning to wonder if she was something of a bad luck charm considering the spells that didn't meet their targets when she was around) and for now she chalked this up to the quick reflexes of the duellists she observed.

Cynthia avoided Monica's tarantallegra, just as Monica escaped Cynthia's flipendo. The flames around Cynthia also looked as though they'd die out soon, and Nessie breathed a sigh of relief to see that the young Ravenclaw would be able to continue to duel for now.

Meanwhile, Starlee's disarming charm towards Eun-ji missed by a hair, and Eun-ji, showing her expertise as the highest year student on the platform, managed to hit Starlee with a mimblewimble.

Squaring up for her next attack, Monica darted her eyes across to Cynthia. Now fully in control of her body, aiming was much easier this time around. Taking a deep breath, the Slytherin aimed her wand, ready to take the poor Ravenclaw out! But just before casting, a spell came hurtling towards her from Cynthia's wand. Monica ducked down, dodging out of the way, lifting her head up she smirked back at the girl, "Nice try.." Before throwing her own spell forward. This was it! This was going to take her out, it would be just 2 vs 1 after this! But unfortunately, Cynthia was just as poised as Monica was, getting out of the way from the Dancing Feet Spell. Seems like the two younger duellist were involved in a dance together, nearly equally matched.

Looking over to see if Starlee was having better luck with her spells than Monica, She watched as the older students threw spells at each other, Starlee, though well casted, missed her target, ever so slightly! But was hit! "STAR!" The blue haired girl yelled, "ARE YOU OKAY!" Monica missed what spell was cast, but would soon learn it was another tongue tied curse! Perfect.

'Focus. All I need to do... is focus.' Starlee thought to herself, really wanting to turn the tide. She had wanted to get Hunt away from her wand, and for Beaufort to be taken out entirely, but alas, both her and Evans' spells missed. Even worse, Starlee was hit with yet another mimblewimble. And this one felt stronger than the last.

Evans asked if she was okay, which sure, yes, she was peachy keen, and she would nod back to the younger student while releasing a short 'huff' of breath. She just couldn't cast a damned spell once again. She really needed to work on her aim, and a definite future goal to try and learn to cast non-verbally.

They were taking a big risk this round. Cynthia looked exhausted and they were up against both Slytherins, who were in still in great condition. If they hit her now, she is out. Eun-ji thought nervously yet her face remained calm.

Thankfully she needn't have worried. In the end, the round was mostly uneventful. There was not much progress since most of the spells missed. It appeared for most part, they were all focused enough to be able to dodge. The older Ravenclaw herself made sure to jump out of the way the moment she heard Starlee utter 'Expelliarmus' for the second time. Same as then however, Eun-ji managed to dodge and threw a tongue-tying spell her way. She was the only one that managed to land a hit. That was close… The witch didn’t like the idea of being wandless in this duel and she didn’t doubt Starlee would try again once she could speak.

With no idea how she dodged that dancing feet spell, Cynthia also managed to miss, yet again. Although everybody was shocked as to how she was still standing, it didn't seem like it would be long until she wasn't anymore. Even if she lasted until the end of this duel, it was likely so exhausting that the hospital wing would be the first port of call anyway.

The duellists' impressive evasiveness continued, with a majority of the round's spells missing once more, as seemed usual for this particular duel.

Monica avoided Cynthia's perfectly cast dancing feet spell, but meanwhile Cynthia also escaped from Monica's fire-making spell. The two duellists traded spells and neither met their intended target. Not that Nessie was complaining, she really wanted all her duellists to be able to fully experience the duel.

But Monica would not remain unscathed for the round, as Eun-ji also cast a knockback jinx her way. For a moment, Nessie thought Monica might avoid the spell, but Eun-ji's aim was just good enough to land a hit, knocking back Monica. Nessie expected that such a hit must hurt, but fortunately for Slytherin it wouldn't be enough to stop Monica from continuing to duel.

Through it all, Starlee remained unable to speak, and sensibly tried to dodge, presumably just in case any spells might come her way. Better safe than sorry, Nessie supposed.

The thrill of the duel only grew with every passing second. Up to this point Monica was getting into a groove, her casting has been going well, though her target kept just slipping her grasp. After insuring her teammate was okay, the Slytherin's attention went back to the match, just in time too, because Cynthia had sent a spell right for Monica, but she was able to get herself smoothly out of the way, seems like those self defence classes were paying off in her agility. A smirk grew on Monica's face, and she threw her own spell back at the girl, but her evasion was just as quick as Monica's and once again, the two young duelist stood at a stand still.

So focused on the interaction that just took place, Monica nearly forgot there as a whole other Ravenclaw to worry about. Out of the corner of her eye, she Saw Hunt's wand directed at her! Monica tried to get herself out of the way, but she was just a hair too late, and found herself being knocked off her feet, falling hard to the ground. Monica let out a cough, the air having been knocked out of her, but for the most part she was okay. She got back to her feet, looking to Starlee seeing if she was free from her tongue tied yet... seems like no such luck.

Oh goody, here Starlee was, unable to cast, her tongue feeling as if its was literally tied so she couldn't utter a word, and all she could do was watch as her younger partner was targeted. It was the understandable action, and of course it had been something they had been doing themselves, but that didn't make Starlee any less mad about it. But could she do anything? No. Just continue to watch as Evans was cast at relentlessly. At least she had been able to dodge one of the spells. But this wasn't over yet.
