I’m not completely sure, but having a trouble maker character doesn’t count against you OOC, only ic

As Ava mentioned, you don't have to worry of being labelled negatively as long as it is your character who causes IC trouble, not you causing OC problems.

However, there is an OC consequence - every time you get a detention, you won't be able to join/create a new thread before completing each detention your character must serve.

Hope this helps.

The world is in despair not because there are many bad people, but because there are many good people who do nothing.

There's no such thing as a "formal" IC record, it's more like, get into trouble a few times people will remember you as a troublemaker IC and it might affect how people see your character. You won't have any mechanical disadvantage from it though. That only changes when you do something so bad it gets you expelled, which affects site access, progress opportunities, and the adult system (not yet released).

FAQ — Questions
As for the IP thing.

Yes, if you are in the same location you will likely have the same IP. However schools are unique in that yes, at school I would see a shared IP but I would also see unique IP addresses associated with you both as you also access the site from your home PC, if you use cellphone data to log on, etc.

As for detention. A player is not their character. There is a fine line with this, if you are making choices to elicit discomfort purposefully in others oc, that would be a problem and would get you labeled as a trouble-maker. Writing is often a collaborative exercise and being the cause of a problem is not a bad thing, it gives people something to roleplay.

There is something about ambition, how it not only propels you but also defines you.

Thanks guys! All very helpful x

I don't have a train of thought. I have 7 trains on 4 tracks, all narrowly avoiding each other when the paths cross, all the passengers are screaming and there's that annoyingly calm female conductors voice in the background.

I already asked Mr. Lear about this and I think I better copy this here as well.
Anyway, I`m a little confused about Mr. Lear`s recently posts about characters that no longer exist. Some of Rita`s and Andy`s friends or even best friends are now gone, and I used to say in some former threads that they maybe went to a different school or just disappeared for some reason maybe due to family issues, so my question is does that count as Godmodding? Or you just let the former things gone and I`m not in trouble as long as I do not do that again? Thanks very much for understanding!

Just don't mention them at all.

If they were close, just perhaps say you found other friends and just cease to mention them previously.

OK, so things I said before those notices are fine and as long as I don`t mention them at all in the future and I`m not in any trouble even though I may have done some "Godmodding" upon them in some pervious threads?
