An ironic word for Delaney, considering the ungodly amount she keeps on her person at all times. A term that couldn't be more fitting, though, considering charm — real charm — comes naturally for her. Not found in spells or the silver bracelets that dangle from her wrists, but in the way she exists so unapologetically. She's laughter and lightning, golden rays and open roads; wishing to be the girl who skips through life with untamed joy. So long as sunlight beats down on her skin, she's a free spirit who despises containment. Always has been, always will be.
As for making friends, the practice has always been easy. Too easy, one might say. Squeezing her way into just about any conversation, dancing around social norms, she isn't the kind of person who ever thinks to plan out their words. Instead, she dives headfirst— laughing, joking, turning casual moments into something worthwhile. There’s no strategy to it, no calculation. As the saying goes, no one can love you if you don't love yourself. Fortunately for Delaney, she's possibly her own biggest supporter.
For what she lacks in conversation, which isn't very much, it's her humor that makes up for it. Unforced, never a performance— just Del, being Del. More often than not, her laughter comes before the punchline, setting the tone for whatever silly joke is bound to spill out. Life is too short to be so serious all the time, something Delaney can hardly manage as is. Maybe that’s the secret to it— her complete lack of hesitation. It’s not that she doesn’t care about anything, far from it, but what she doesn’t care about are things so trivial. If someone doesn’t like her, it's hardly spared a moment's thought. Their problem, not hers.
For everything she's worth, Delaney isn’t just 'someone you meet'. She’s an experience, a page torn right out of a novel. Maybe not the main character, but certainly the best friend always equipped with something smart to say. She's the kind of girl who can make you laugh regardless of you thinking it impossible, who can break through your walls with a mere grin. She’s the warmth of a summer evening, always out of reach but close enough to feel— with a talent for making the world feel just a little less heavy.word count: 401/400

Nina has a natural ability to connect with others emotionally. This was not always a good thing to have. Which has given her a lot of trouble in her early years of life. Because of her demeanor and easy looks she was approachable and it made people feel comfortable sharing their stories, and troubles. This is a lot to take for a little girl. Because of this she was sent, by her parents, to her grandmother in the outskirts of a village so she could learn how to have patience and be an active listener without getting al the emotions of everyone. During her time here, she found peace and focus within herself.
When she was around 5 years old, there was a little boy, around the same age, who was having trouble finding friends. When he spoke to Nina, she found a lot of resemblance to her own life. Because of this, it made her feel depressed and sad. It took her grandmother a lot of time to help Nina understand the difference to what she feels and what other people feel. Here, she learned how to find her own center and to distinguish her feelings and what others feel.
Because she could now find her own core and find her feelings and emotions, she started to feel more things around here. It was almost like she could feel magic around her. This made for an easy connection to the forest surrounding the village. Here she found patience, nonverbal communication and the positivity needed to give out a calming presence for everyone around her.
This is where her magic guided her to a sound in the forest. While foraging in the woods, she stumbled upon a small, injured kitten. Its striking green eyes reminded me of myself. Hurt, hungry and all alone in the woods, the only thing I could do was take him back home. Here, I nursed the kitten back to health, naming him Jasper.
As she grew older, she learned how to be open-minded and nonjudgmental towards other people. Listening to strangers, friends or family and focusing on really hearing what they have to say. And she came across a lot of different people during her time in the village or back at her parent's house in the big city.
In hard situations, she learned how to have patience and calmly listen to all sides. During her school years, she helped a lot of friends try to find common ground between discussions or other problems.

Name of Ability that you Are Applying for: Part-Veela
Describe why this fits your character: Besides the humans, there are so many other magical beings in Hogwarts. Veela is a kind of magical being that is well known for its very beautiful and enticing character. Karina will suit the role of a part Veela in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft perfectly.
Karina is tall and maintains a physical structure similar to what might be expected from a Veela and is, therefore, very beautiful, which would sit well with the role. The Veelas are said to be very beautiful to an extent that people get attracted to them.
Karina embodies this appeal and charisma, which would be good on her part in the portrayal of a Veela. The Veelas are an enchanting lot, ready to hypnotize their surroundings with their presence. Given this personality, Karina can fittingly portray such traits of the Veelas. She is confident, charismatic, and capable of commanding attention-essentially needed for someone playing a Veela.
Karina can be a great contribution to staff also because she loves the fantastic world of Hogwarts, knows its history, and lore. Veelas are among the magical creatures populating the world of wizards; having respect and deep understanding for it should give a reason for her value to the school. She would bring a sense of realism and depth to the position that would be helpful for both students and staff.
Therefore, Karina could fit in perfectly and act incomparably because of her great physical beauty, worldly charm, and passion towards the magical world at Hogwarts as a part Veela. She would bring magic and enchantment to the school, making it all that more exciting and interesting of a place.

Célestine always was a curious child, living in a loving family but feeling like there was something that they were trying to hide from her. She couldn't explain this feeling, but she knew when snakes were coming to their house although when she confronted her parents, they said it was impossible.
Growing up in a world where most of half-breeds were hated, Célestine constantly found herself surrounded by feeling that someone is watching her. Or was it some animal? She didn't know the answer and it seemed to be impossible to get any answers from her family. Eventually she got disappointed and stopped trying to talk about it with them. However, she still continued noticing constant presence of something nearby her.
Still having same curiousity as always, she once went to the forest during weekend at Beauxatons. There was a part she never visited before, so she intended to go there. Walking her way to the middle of the forest, she felt something was following her. When she looked around, she didn't see anyone so she continued her way and soon stopped having this feeling. However after some minutes her mother arrived and told her to not go that way. Célestine was surprised how her mother knew where to find her, but thought it could be connected to the feeling of been followed.
When she was graduating from Beauxatons, Célestine felt happy and was ready to start a new chapter of her life. In her free from work time she travelled to different places and finally stopped having this feeling that followed her since childhood. Or so she thought because later, during her trip to Belgium she felt it again. She felt like every time she tried to look for a source of this feeling, whatever it was, it was hiding. It was hiding so well that she still couldn't understand what it was.
Sighing and giving up with the idea of ever finding out this source, she decided to learn to just accept that this feeling will randomly appear and disappear. After all it was no use to keep trying to find something that didn't want to be found. At least she felt it, so maybe some time later in the future it could help her. Probably naive to think this way, but Célestine was suddenly certain that she wouldn't or most probably wouldn't miss if something was following her or hiding, pretending to be something else.

Célestine grew up in Lyon and since her childhood she was very fascinated by animals. But not only by them. In her early ages her mother always was finding Célestine taking care about injured animals. The girl was in tears and constantly asked mother to help stopping the pain. Célestine couldn't bare to see how someone was suffering, be it animal or human or even plant. Little as she was at that time she couldn't understand why they had to suffer and tried everything in her power to take care about injury and help ease the pain.
Sometimes she had to ask mother for help because she didn't know spells and didn't have potions as she was still too little for starting learning and practicing them. Growing up in her teens, Célestine always was more fascinated in learning how to heal. It was important for her so she could finally be able to heal injures better.
Studying in Beauxatons helped her to discover that not only she loved animals a lot and was always trying to help everyone who was injured, but also now she could finally do most of the healing by herself.
Surely she couldn't be prepared for everything always. Sometimes her healing knowledge was not enough but she still searched for any way to help. Later she would cry because even at this age she didn't understand why they were getting injured, how could they bare the pain, how could she help more as it seemed to her that it was never enough.
After graduating from Beauxatons, Célestine decided to never stop reading and searching for any way to improve her healing skills. She chose to work as Care of Magical Creatures Professor but so even more important was her ability to heal. She understood it well that no matter how hard she would try to keep others from getting injured, there still might be something she didn't know about. Be it minor injury or more serious, it didn't make any difference for her. It all made her feel sad and trying to help as best as she could.
Maybe with more practice she could do it better? But she already spent most of her life helping and caring about injured. She knew she improved it by now but it still felt like not enough. Like she still could improve more. So she decided to never stop reading more about healing.

Poppy grew up around her parents, both of which are well educated and practiced wizards in their respective fields. She got to see them cast advanced spells since before she could talk. Once she was old enough to understand the words and the meaning behind the spells her parents cast for simple acts such as fixing a broken pot or healing a scratch she started to study the ways in which she pronounced the words and the movements they used. She was able to see first hand how badly spells backfire with the slightest mispronunciation, or when a wand movement that was all but perfect. She never experienced anything traumatic, but seeing a tired parent attempt to fix a broken cup and it instead completely shattered certainly got the point across.
After coming to hogwarts and seeing the more serve consequences of students who are not careful she is more determined than ever to be careful in her casting. She doesn't mind taking the extra few seconds to review the wand movement and incantation in her head before each spell. It helped her became a straight O student so now it's common practice for her to review the spell in her head before casting. It also helps keep her calm and confident both of which she's noticed has made her magic truly thrive.
Furthermore, she is attempting to join the dueling team, and while she is not officially on it she likes to go practice spells in the dueling room in preparation of hopefully joining the team. She hopes that this practice of spells will also help her if she ends up on the broom racing team, and while she is less excited about that possibility she still is ready to put in a full effort when it comes to that. She's also noticed that the practice outside of class has helped her hone her spell casting, and even get a few spells to the point where they are second nature. She doesn't really need to review the wand movement because her body truly knows it for a couple of spells.
This pair between her muscle memory that has come from the amount of days she's spent her time not doing homework casting away in the dueling room, paired with her habit of mental review before each spell makes Poppy definitely a spell casting perfectionist. Theres a reason she was placed in ravenclaw.

Aiko grew up favoring transfiguration as her favorite class. Mainly because of the ability to change her hair color and annoy her mother. But from there, she began to really research the various aspects of transfiguration, the complexities and science or math that supported it and grew even more heavily invested in transfiguration. Because of this fascination it quickly became one of the few classes she excelled at, frequently helping other students to get those concepts or spells that they may struggle with.
Whenever she had some spare time, she always found herself drawn to read ahead in her transfiguration books (if there wasn't an adventure to be had). And then after she graduated, and started her travels, she found herself in a quite in depth discussion of various transfiguration theories with a stranger in a restaurant (as one does).
This led to a tutoring offer, and given that Aiko wanted to make sure that she did well, she made sure to brush up on her transfiguration textbooks, and was able to borrow and purchase some additional books to ensure she was up to date on the latest theories, spells and more.
This became a habit in any new location Aiko landed in, finding the textbooks and other books related to transfigurations for that region (doing her best to get them in languages she was able to speak), and read all she could, hopping from reference to reference, and recommendation to recommendation like a rabbit, chasing the carrot of knowledge. Then she felt confident in tutoring the children who needed it.
But three years ago, she became Professor of Transfiguration at Mahoutokoro, which did cut into her studying time. However, that didn't stop Aiko. She would read on her trips home, and in preparing her classes, she would work with the librarian to determine if there may be newer resources or knowledge to bolster the knowledge she already had.
Aiko doesn't consider herself an expert, especially because somebody else will always know more, but she does feel confident that she can track down whatever resources she needs to ensure her students succeed and come to view transfiguration in at least somewhat of a positive light. This joy shines through in her teaching, and Aiko makes sure that she still makes time for tutoring those who may be struggling. It's a good way to brush up on her basics of transfiguration, and different ways to communicate them, while also getting to help others enjoy her favorite subject as well.

Born to two medical professionals, it was simply written in the stars for Costanza to join their work at the hospital. Growing up, she examined the pros and cons between her mother and father’s job almost daily and whenever she was asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, it was always one of the two.
Her father was a surgeon and his love of the job was evident from every practice at home. When he sliced vegetables while helping to prepare dinner or fashioned miniatures from clay for his tabletop RPGs, Costanza always recognized something from those cheesy medical dramas the family watched together. He even banned throwing banana skins in the rubbish because he loved using them to practice suturing, even after years of becoming an attending. Her mother was an internist on the way to completing her residency. Every illness that Costanza procured was diagnosed in a rapid fashion and while her parents always played it safe by taking her to the doctor to get a second opinion, her mother’s first guess was always right. The woman kept stocks of medication that always came in handy and seemingly never ran out.
Living with these behaviors as a child came mostly at an observational level for toddler Costanza, but as she grew older, her parents started including her more whenever they touched base with their jobs. While helping her father set up for D&D nights, he’d give her long lectures about anatomy and explained the charts and posters of the human body that he had plastered on his man cave walls. He even let her attempt suturing his banana skins with toothpicks, but she typically always messed up. Her mother began to teach her how to recognize diseases the moment she could comprehend the thought and ever the enthusiastic reader, Costanza would sneak into her mother’s pile of medical textbooks and read them cover to cover despite not understanding a majority of what was in them. Still, she picked up on the things her mother always pointed out.
To define friendship roles in a kiddie friend group is to misunderstand kiddies, and yet Costanza was through and though a mom friend. The behaviors learned from her mother and father bled into her life at school. If her friends complained about a sore throat, she’d shove a soothing candy in their hands. If one of them presented with a cough, she gently kick them to the nurse’s office. She cleaned her and her friends’ desks with alcohol wipes every week and gifted them mini hand sanitizers for Christmas. She rationed her candy bars in case someone needed sugar and convinced her friends to drink water if they were too high on their own sweet snacks.
Costanza was a miniature version of her parents for many years at school, but everything changed when her life got turned upside down. Coming to Hogwarts with a new personality meant that Costanza stopped caring about anyone else. She had no friends to remind to take it easy and the people she saw the most, her dormmates, caught no interest from her. She kept to herself and didn’t give a damn if someone else was feeling sick. At least, that was the persona she wanted people to see. In truth, the girl always worried if a dormmate or someone in class mentioned that they were coming down with something. She knew that potions were their preferred method of care, but it took everything within her to not slip them an Emergen-C from her kid-friendly medicine stock.
Joining duelling marked a turning point for Costanza. Suddenly, caring about her teammates’ health meant caring about winning, so Costanza masked her concern as such. She didn’t feel out of place when reminding them to take care of themselves and to eat well before standing on the piste. This made Costanza bolder in the dorms, leaving vitamin gummies or the perfect Pepperup Potion she brewed in class on top of someone’s pillow if they mentioned feeling under the weather. She would never let them know who the help was coming from, even if they threw out the potion due to not trusting its contents, but by returning to her old habits, Costanza finally felt some kind of comfort at Hogwarts.

Name of Ability that you Are Applying for: Wandmaker
Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it):The Wand choosing Eldritch
ReducioThe clouds hovering over Diagon Alley were grey, small puddles of water had just started to form as tiny droplets of rain had begun to fall. Eldritch was stalking his surroundings, his grey eyes scanning each and every corner, taking in every detail into account. What the witch in purple was doing, where the wizard in black was going and why was there a toddler crying? Then he caught his own reflection on a glass-stained window supported by green linings of wood. Through it he could see a tiny light flicker and on the front counter was a set of candles melting the white wax away. The fire was dim but it had caught his attention nonetheless, and not just his.
“Ah, Ollivanders!” Exclaimed his favourite aunt (yes, it must be specified). Her hair was dark, with a slash of blonde and her skin pale. A set of freckles ran across her face. She clapped her hands together enthusiastically and crouched just a tiny bit to look into Eldritch’s distracted eyes, turning him around.
“It’s not every day that a wizard like you gets to choose his very first wand! You must go on your own now, this is for you to fully lavish in.” She smiled brightly, fully contrasting Eldritch’s less enthusiastic grim face that refused to move. He was excited, he’d swear it. It’s just he could contain it. Or perhaps refused to show it, one of the two.
“I remember my first time walking into this shop. I was eleven just like you. My first wand didn’t last long, neither did my second, then I lost the third. You could imagine how mad your grandmother was at me when she’d find out each time. Now I’m on my fifth and I feel like it was truly meant to be. Anyways, where was I? Oh yes, best you go in. I’ll go fetch the rest of your books for you.” Eldritch hummed in a very excitable manner and smirked just a tiny bit, but one would hardly notice. His aunt then gently nabbed his cheek and walked off, as Eldritch proceeded to head inside.
The ringing of the bell announcing his entrance made him look up till his neck couldn’t tilt any longer. On each shelf were hundreds of boxes, some flying by rearranging themselves. The ambience inside felt effectively much warmer than the chilly breeze outside, so Eldritch grabbed onto the long sleeves of his striped black-and-white shirt and held onto them like it was the coldest day in Diagon Alley.
Shortly after came a man with white fickle hair on his chin - but that’s more than one would say for the top of his bald head. His glasses were covered in dust and on his way towards the curious little boy, the man wiped them clean with a flick of his wand.
“How may I help you young one? Ah, beg my forgiveness, you look taller than most. But you must be here for your wand, yes?”
Eldritch felt like he didn’t need to answer that seeing as the man in front of him had presumed correctly, so he just nodded his head in agreement. The man raised one of his bushy white brows and scratched his chin, his puffy sleeves peeking out of his musky green coat. He took a couple steps back and immediately took a blue box, shuffling it from in between five other boxes. He opened the lid and out of it unveiled a white wand, paler than snow, paler than the little hair on his chin, paler than Eldritch. The customer couldn’t help but feel suspicious, so El raised an eyebrow back. But regardless, he took the wand out of the man’s hand when it was offered to him and gave it an elegant swish, aiming it at the candles he had observed a while before. A spark emerged from the tip of the wand, yellow almost orange. At first, it was dead silent like a grave, but before any of the two individuals present could utter a word, the ember flames burst like a dragon’s. The man let out a scream as he clumsily took out his wand to dwindle the flames back to normal. Eldritch noticed that whatever little bit of hair the man had on his chin had been ignited away, finally making him laugh.
“Not so funny Mr. Wicked. Not so funny. But that wand’s not for you.” He snatched it away before Eldritch could question how did a stranger know his family’s name, without having announced it beforehand. The wandmaker flicked his own wand and put the pale wand back where it was and in the meantime went to the back of the shop, climbed on the ladder he had gravitated towards him and picked up another box. This one was maroon and it seemed older. The wand itself was brown with cracks and a chunky handle. Eldritch didn’t like how it looked and he hoped it wouldn’t pick him. And it most certainly did not. The second his fingers came in contact with the pommel, the wand blasted out tiny explosions that quickly turned into puffs of black ashy smoke, filling the air in a nauseating puff that made it hard to breathe in. The wandmaker struggled to clear the air as he was too busy coughing and Eldritch couldn’t help but fall victim to his own failure. A failure he was grateful for, so technically a success?
Safe to say that the next four wands that came after failed as well. The third wand caused a loud roar that cracked a couple of windows, the fourth turned the man’s shoes into duck feet, the fifth flew up and got stuck in the roofing while the sixth might as well not have been considered as it stayed dormant. By that point, the wandmaker was exhausted, but Eldritch was growing frustrated, but determined to find the perfect wand for himself. The owner of the shop walked all the way to the very back and the boy had to wait a minute or two for him to come back. He came with an onyx black box with white-silver linings on each corner and from it emerged an ebony black wand, replicating the same linings of the box in silver, spiralling around the wand. Once Eldritch was given hold of it, he observed it closer. The closer to the tip was less of a dark black than the rest of the wand and at the hilt was a crystal ball.
“It’s desperation, truly. Seeing as none of the other wands seem to fit you, I doubt how much this one will. It’s been sitting back there for years now, I scarcely remember when it was actually made.” Said the man in a weary voice, sighing in despair.
But whatever the man had just said was quick to enter Eldritch’s left ear and leave from the right. He felt a sudden mystical urge that sent a shiver through his body, finally making him feel something fuzzy but in a chilly, eerie way. Like a glow, an ethereal one. A purple light started to emit from the wand and the shop suddenly turned pitch black, there was an echo, a voice- two or three, possibly even more, perhaps even more. They started chanting words that meant nothing to the boy, but he liked how they sounded. It felt like he was in the middle of a ritual. The candle fire was rapidly turning on and off, the lights above him buzzing. A breeze entered the shop despite the door being closed and all windows locked off. All the sudden supernatural activities stopped in a heartbeat and the only thing distinctively separating Eldritch and the wandmaker (besides their age) was the fact that El was glimmering in joy by admiring his new wand, his lips clasped together smirking.
“Curious. Strange. Odd.” Whispered the shopkeeper in a quiet, timid voice.
“The core of that wand is made of Thestral Tail Hair. We rarely ever offer those to children, hence the desperation, Mr. Wicked. I did not think it would ever accept anyone, a child moreso. I gave it to you on a whim thinking it’d be a foolish attempt, but I was proven wrong. I won’t dare question the wand choosing you as its master, that’d be even more foolish of me, I’m sure time will reveal your destiny and your wand’s.” Now Eldritch was intrigued. A part of him felt proud and ready to take on the world - he felt special.
“How much?” He asked enthusiastically.Wand Wood - Ebony: The ebony wood is said to be a perfect match for witches or wizards who stick to their own ideals and beliefs, to those who refuse to conform. One look at Eldritch is all it takes to realise that he is anything but a conformist. Despite his young age Eldritch has always been aware that he is slightly different than the rest, but rather than deciding to join the fray, he has stayed true to himself and shows courage in doing so. An ebony wand would be perfect for Eldritch as it would recognise his unique individuality and willingness to be labelled as an outsider. Despite what others might have to say about Eldritch or would wish to change about him, the boy’s resilience and stubbornness makes him a perfect candidate for an ebony wand.
Wand Core - Thestral Tail Hair: Having always been in touch with the occult, the afterlife, poltergeists and any manner of paranormal activity, Eldritch is not intimidated by the idea of dying and becoming a ghost. Some would have it that he’d welcome it with open arms (he’s probably just curious to know how it’d feel like to be a ghost). Despite its reputation as being a difficult wand to control, it can be tamed. Eldritch is ambitious and although he’s only eleven years old, he has the passion to grow and develop his magical abilities along with his wand. The rarity of thestral tail hair being used as a wand core further contributes to Eldritch having a unique perspective on the world around him and his singular individuality in general.
(Extra Information: According to the official Harry Potter Wiki, it is only ASSUMED that one must be able to see Thestrals and therefore has seen death, to possess the wand. However, the plot here is that Eldritch struggles to use his wand’s full potential due to not having witnessed death and this drives him frustratingly mad, leading to an obsession of him wanting to witness death, until he does and it haunts him for life. This is all for future reference of course, but I hope you see the vision).
Wand Length - 12 Inches: Already being slightly taller than average and having long limbs, physically, a long wand is best for Eldritch to control. However, the flick and swish aspect of it all truly feeds into his dramatic, flamboyant persona. Despite being quiet and odd, Eldritch shows a great sense of comfort in who he is, making him fearless to express himself in ways in which others wouldn’t. It would be a crime to describe him as lively given his ghastly appearance, but in a room full of students he’ll be the first to raise his hand and answer a question in a manner which any other student wouldn’t ever consider thinking about. Additionally, Eldritch is dramatic and at the slightest inconvenience will make this evidently clear.
Wand Flexibility - Unyielding: Given the circumstances of the wand core and wood choosing Eldritch for his unique personality and individual self, it would only make sense for his wand to stay true to him and only him. Taking all aspects of the wand into consideration, it feels justifiable to state that this wand is loyal to its master. In regards to what the future might hold for Eldritch especially, his wand remaining loyal to him will also create a layer of the wand showing patience despite Eldritch struggling to use its maximum potential and will wait till everything he needs is found through his ventures to come.STATUS: Approved, Sarai, October 30

Cassandra had always been a quiet girl, from her birth to now the word quiet was always used when it came to describing her. "As calm and quiet as the leaves that fall in the Autumn," is how her mother had once described her, quite the poet her mother. She had never exactly been the most social person which would lead one to assume that she was simply unapproachable. That had never been the case however for Cassandra Hartwin, in fact, there was something about her that drew people in. Perhaps it was her peaceful nature, quiet and simply content in existing in the world around her or perhaps it was because she could often be found off in her own thoughts, something that from an outside view would possibly come off as rather peaceful. Of course, perhaps it could have been something as simple as the soft smile that would often grace her face when she talked to people, a habit she had picked up while interacting with people at her mother's shop in order to come across as more friendly and approachable.
Of course, perhaps the biggest reason behind why the young girl seemed to have such an effect on the people around her was simply because she was good at watching how people acted. She had always had a rather quiet fascination in the world and people around her which is why she could sometimes be found simply sitting in a busy area and watching as people go about their lives. She saw how different people would act when they were sad, angry, upset and the small mannerisms and expressions that came with these feelings. She also saw how these feelings were often dealt with, and how other people calmed others downs and what often work and what didn't. Through what was simply a young girl curious about people somehow produced a young girl with the skills to help calm the world around her. Perhaps through a soft smile, a gentle pat on the shoulder, or a simple sketch that she had put together, there was no denying she had gained something out of the many years watching people in their lives.
The Hartwin household was certainly better off due to the young girl and the sweet calm that simply seemed to follow her wherever she went. In fact, she would find that her older sisters would often come to her after having long and stressful days. Sometimes even just a simple hug from the small girl would seemingly melt away the stress of her sisters. Of course, Cassandra's sisters never put any pressure on her and they certainly never burdened her with words but there truly was just something about her that made people feel like everything would be alright and that maybe one could find some peace in such a hectic and often stressful world.

Name of Ability that you Are Applying for: The Muggle Condition
Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it):
ReducioIt was a deliberate choice on the part of her parents to ensure Maisie had an understanding of both the muggle and magical worlds. They believed there was a beauty and art to both—and to the intersection of both. The muggle world was what her father had always known and what her mother had fallen in love with. So, they put her in muggle school and encouraged her to befriend her muggle peers, reminding her that they were no less important or valid nor were their ways of managing the day to day problems of the world. All humans are equal and magic doesn’t solve everything.
Perhaps the most direct tutelage in muggle culture and problem solving came through her paternal grandmother, who was also her namesake: Margaret Gemmell. A muggle herself, Margaret had learned of the wizarding world only through the unexpected Hogwarts acceptance of her son. And while she relished the stories he told her, she never quite able to fully grasp it without experiencing it herself. Instead, she strove to do the best she could for him and later for his family through muggle means. A housewife for most of her life, Margaret had plenty of time to spend with Maisie and often cared for her when she was young. Together, they enjoyed muggle pursuits including cards, crochet, and trialing out her father’s camera (often without express permission). When it came to chores or house work, Maisie was encouraged to complete these without magic so that she would have an understanding of hard work and responsibility. It was largely Margaret’s presence that allowed Maisie to have such a normal childhood.
But home life was not the only thing that gave Maisie an understanding of the muggle world. You see, they did not live secluded in the countryside or some little wizarding village. The Gemmell family lived and continue to proudly live in the city of Glasgow or ‘The Dear Green Place.’ The city is dense and rugged, and filled with muggles. From playing in one of the city’s many parks to visiting Kelvingrove museum to running down the street to the chemists, Maisie was raised by the red sandstone of Glasgow and its people.
This was only further reinforced by her parents’ professions. Both her parents choose to work with clients both magical and muggle. Although partly a function of economics, they also deliberately liked to keep a professional foot in each world. So, through her father, Maisie would be kept a breast of muggle news, and through her mother of muggle fashion. And never for a minute did she get the impression that one was superior to the other.
So, Maisie doesn’t just know both. She knows that it’s through the intersection of both that you can find new ideas and new places to explore.
