FAQ — Questions
depend on what kind of sport you are modding actually, the sports systems tend to be quite self-explantory, but basically is to roll a d20 dice + a specific stat, when it passes the DC it is successfulOliver Brown wrote: 16 Mar 2023, 00:21 Can someone explain to me how to mod a post [ Using Stamina and Strength ]

FAQ — Questions
This is very dependent on what you are doing. All our systems were also custom developed. Inspired by DND or entirely new creations. Often we use d20s but even the choice of what sort of dice we use can come down to game design choice. Almost every system I have uses a d20, but I have some systems in my head that use other dice that have not made their way to Hio (yet).

1) There is a recipe task in each section. Can I reuse the same recipe all four times, or do they have to be different?
2) What is meant by the 'hogwarts friends' task in the 'graphics' section?
3) Do I have to make the pin badges from the 'other' section myself, or can they be ones I've found on google?
Thanks in advance! Those answers aren't quite correct.
1. You can reuse the same recipe, to be honest. They are worded slightly differently to inspire you to choose multiple recipes (i.e. one is a dessert specifically, the other is a 'ic family recipe', the other is your character's favourite dish etc - with the idea being that it encourages you to think about a favourite dessert, a family tradition, a favourite other dish etc).
However, if you have a recipe that fits all four categories, you can do a code, write a description, draw the dessert (or make it in real life and take a photo of it etc) and create a graphic featuring it if you'd like. In each category, we are looking at different things. One is to see how you code it. You can use the 'other' section's prompt or the 'writing' section's description in that code if you'd like. So yes, they can work together. You can also just use the same recipe and showcase it in four entirely different ways if you'd like. We care more about the art than the recipe. For the IC feature reward (if you wanted that), you'd probably want to use different recipes but up to you.
2. It means whatever it means to you. Broadly speaking - friends from Hogwarts. This could be what friendship means to you or showcase your character's friends or even just one friend or it could be a gift you made for your friends etc. It's a graphic featuring 'Hogwarts' and 'Friends' in any fashion you'd like.
3. You have to draw/design them yourself. You can link to references that inspired you (if you find images on Google that you want to use as inspiration) but you have to make the design in some capacity yourself.
Thank you! I was wondering about the recipe because mine can fit all categories. Just quickly too: if I were to finish the errand early, would I be able to get my work checked in case I've done anything wrong and so I don't miss out on the reward? Or is that unfair to everyone else taking part?

FAQ — Questions
I can't promise anything, to be honest. The challenge is designed to take a month (I know some people will rush it and do it in less time but you're only cheating yourself then as it is designed to push you to try new things, rather than being an easy way to get rewards) and I imagine it will take me many hours to review all of the prompts for rewards. I do not intend on doing that until April. Realistically, I don't have the time to do that until April either.Taisia Stroudefielde wrote: 16 Mar 2023, 20:13ReducioHjørdis Jensen wrote: 15 Mar 2023, 22:00Taisia Stroudefielde wrote: 15 Mar 2023, 21:29 I have a couple of questions on Martch 2023 errand. That being said - if I - or another person - sees something noticeable wrong, we might be able to alert you beforehand (i.e. if I see a 10-word entry on something that has a minimum of 200 words then I can easily just be like "btw - you may need to check the wc on those") but I probably won't be reading/reviewing anything in-depth so I cannot guarantee it until I do that.
In truth - as long as you've checked the word counts and requirements (where applicable) for the prompt and made a genuine effort to actually do that prompt without taking other people's work, you're very likely to be rewarded. Just double-check the rules, look at any specific things (such as WC), don't steal, make the work new (rather than using your own older stuff), credit inspiration/references or anything that you might have used so we know you're not trying to claim they are your own and you're probably fine.

FAQ — Questions
Just to add onto Nora, some people have asked if they could fulfill these prompts with a google search. There are instances where using images found online can still be "your work" such as collages for example. The point is to make something transformational, sort of like how copy right laws work with images and work. If we wanted to test your google skills we would have given you things with challenging boolean phrases.

FAQ — Questions
There are usually summer sports events for iNPCs to participate in which take place during summer camp. Beyond that there likely won't be official games for iNPCs.
