A little bit more specific on the RP questions.

Do you need to RP everything in your character's life? No, not feasible. A lot of things you do are implied. For example, even if you did not write a trainride to Hogwarts, we know you did one. You can now do one of 2 things:

1. State you were on the train in Hogwarts and arrived. Nothing specific or interesting really happened, but you did it.
2. Retroactively make a roleplay so that interesting things (like meeting someone) can happen.

I do warn you that backdating and forward dating can be dangerous. If I decide to backdate a thread, if I made any threads since where I "first met" a user, it becomes hard to involve them in this roleplay. I personally encourage you to try to make threads in some sort of order especially when new. This allows you to have an easier development. Forward dating also has similar issues, it limits your creativity if you try to rush certain events. For instance, you are dating someone right now in character but you both agree to break up and have a fun RP for that. So you forward date it a month to roleplay out the post break-up, some sort of fight. This does likely the both of you now as you need to reconcile between the two of you from the present -time threads where you are happy and together and 1 month from now, how, why and where you will break up. This can be difficult for some writers.

As for Owls in the dorms. Owls have the Owlery, that is where they live but they do visit other areas of the castle with their owners for brief periods of time.

Will there be an event during Valentines day?

There usually is some kind of event during Valentine's Day, at least last year there was. There will be an announcement posted when it happens I believe.

Question: Is there any requirements for a joining a dorm thread? Does it have to be solo? Can it take place in the middle of the year? Can I say I joined a dorm even if I’m not on the official list?

I think you can join the dorm at any time, and joining the dorm is optional. And I think it is usually a solo thread.

You can join a dorm thread as long as it says open and not private (PV). If it says PV or has specific names in the title, it's only for those people. If a dorm thread is 'open' or doesn't have PV or a name in it, you can join it. If it says 'solo' in the title, that means it's only for the person who posted it. If you are starting a dorm thread, it can be whatever you want it to be. You can say you joined a dorm even if the official list isn't updated but you should post signing up for it for records. I'm not sure about the date though, I think you'd just state that you joined in the beginning of the year.

I’m having a hard time looking for dorm mates! I posted on RPG partner requests twice already in the past few weeks and no one replied is there a faster way to find Dorm mates?

There should be a topic in the '_ dorm' subforum in your house area which lists everyone in each dorm If you're looking for people to RP with in the dorm, you can link your request in the 'thread sharing' channel on discord if you're on that, or owl someone you'd like to RP with from the list of who's in the dorm! Just make sure not to spam, and check their ency first to see if there's any notice there saying they're not open to new roleplays.

I do not believe there is one in Ravenclaw, but I might have missed it.
