in moderated thread you have to state your ally for calming presence (all hogwarts student for example, then those who are not your ally will not be effected) whilst terrible presence will affect everyone except those who has fearless. In regular rp, it's your call. But yes, both parties will feel be effected by each other. But if you also have fearless, you don't get feel terrible presence effect

If you don’t have abilities for said year, then yes, I believe you can. However, if you are asking if you can get, for example, two in your second year, three in your third year, etc., then no. It is one ability per year.

There is a limit to this. If you do not have a special race, you are able to apply for one ability per year. Those with special races have specific years with predetermined abilities. There are several abilities that have prerequisites to apply for, such as Potion Mastery and Catch both requiring someone to be a second year or older to apply for. If you have no abilities by second year, you are allowed to apply for two abilities, but you could not apply for both Potion Master and Catch, because it is still implied that one of the abilities is for your first year, and the other is for your second year. In short, you cannot 'save up' ability slots in order to break prerequisite rules.

Also, I implore people posting answers here to only reply if you are certain you know the answer. If you need to say 'someone might correct me' then perhaps it is best to leave the question to someone who can answer with more confidence. The more posts that are in this thread with misinformation, the more likely it is for people to fail to learn or not be able to find answers to questions already asked.

I want to add onto what I- Flash- and Lil said.

Stacking abilities are not allowed; for example- crucio used to be a fifth year ability- and saving two abilities for two fifth year abilities with preq of fifth year- can’t do.

So what happened was I was approved as Metamorphagus, but at that time I was not registered to the Index just yet so it wasn’t added to my trunk. But now I am registered, how do they add that to my trunk? Who do I owl?
