The final game of a season was always a bittersweet challenge. She adored the competition of the matches and hated when she didn't have the next challenge to prepare for. However, the last game also let them truly leave everything out on the pitch. Without the impending need to be safe for future games, the team could let everything all out. This one was different, however. Atlas was very aware that this was not just her last game of the season, but it would mark her last game as a Hufflepuff.

Atlas knew that it would be a lot to process, but didn't want it to taint her final game. She had invested so much into her time playing Quidditch and adored her teammates and the dozens of teammates that had come and gone during her time. Knowing that this game was her last was a hard fact to grapple. So, she kept it out of her head. She wanted to focus on just enjoying the game without that added weight and pressure. She knew elements of it might leak through, but as much as possible, she just wanted to be there for her team.

Feeling the subtle nudge from Camilla, Atlas offered a quick smirk. "Crushing Ravenclaw is always a good time," she quipped as she gave a playful bow to Avery's salute. "Let's go steal one more win," she added with an easy laugh as she pat her teammates on the shoulders.

Taking up her position by her goalposts, Atlas leaned her head back and took a deep breath. For the final time, she allowed her senses to fully take in her surroundings. The nerves and jitters that normally twinged over her were completely absent. Atlas felt ready. As she opened her eyes she tightened her grip on her broomstick and relaxed her shoulders as she readied herself for the inevitable chaos.

Keepers Catch
10% chance to automatically block an attempt to score a goal as long as the Keeper is in the goal area. If an attempt to score has been blocked through this effect, the Keeper may as a free action hurl the quaffle at the opponent team in an attempt to injure a player of their choice (it would be recovered with a quaffle grab action) and treated like a bludger or pass the quaffle to a team mate. This must be declared by the Keeper if either of these free actions are to be utilized.

Evasive Maneuvers
Harder to hit on average, 10% on auto-dodge chance that anything that targets this wizard automatically misses. This is rolled separately from the attack roll.

Broom: Varapidos (+3 to all stats) (Enganação. This literally means "cheat" and is a basically the art of sleight of hand for Brazilian Quiddich players. When a Quiddich player attempts to use the "cheat" action where they attempt to cast a spell while in a game, they succeed once per game automatically. Must declare alongside cheat action. All subsequent attempts to cheat have a 10% automatic "not noticed by the spectators" effect.)

Seven years, it's been seven years. Where does the time go? This was Jorah's final year and this game would be his final quidditch match. Jorah sat in the Ravenclaw locker room, trying commit his surroundings to memory. He absorbed the various peeling and overlapping quidditch posters, the piles of protective gear... the smell. This was it. "Goodbye," he whispered. He hoped the next students would appreciate this space as much as he had. With that he shuffled off to the pitch one last time.

Here it is, the final game of the season. As he sits on the bench Aston can't help but realize how much better the weather is in this game compared to their last one. He is going to play this final game well, for the graduating seventh years if not for himself, they deserve fantastic quiddich game to end their time at Hogwarts.

Another day, another match… is at least what Avis was telling herself as she flew out in a cloud of Ravenclaw blue. The final match of her second season was ending as quickly as it came and the young bird didnt know if she was quite ready for it. It meant the departure of the seventh years she’d looked up to all year. It meant no practice and all homework for the rest of the semester. And it meant the arrival of her third year which was a harrowing thought. Still, Avis felt excitement fill her stomach. Last one, best one.

ROUND 1

SECOND STRING

From the bench, a variety of boos and cheers could be heard, and it seems that the two teams had paired up with their targets. Ophelia and Andy's cheers for Jorah were being cancelled out by the boos towards Jorah from Callum. Fire also attempted to boo Jorah, but they seemed to affect Avery more. Poor Avery also was subject to more booing from Damien and Aston. At least, for Atlas's last game, she was being cheered on by Landon and Lyanna.

QUAFFLE ROLLS

The struggle over the quaffle was competitive today. Winnie and Camilla battled it out, a more even match than expected considering the four-year age difference between them. Winnie managed to uphold Ravenclaw pride by snatching it away twice and easily scoring, but Camilla wasn't to be discounted, wresting the quaffle from Winnie more times than the senior probably would've expected from the younger player. However, when she passed to captain Mamori to score, Mikey would be ready and waiting to block, successfully managing to twice. Those were just warm-ups for Mamori however, as his final score attempt managed to earn his team 20 points, putting both teams on a level playing field.

"Ooh, that looks like 20 points for Ravenclaw, and oh! Looks like Hufflepuff's captain won't let that be the case for long, that's 20 points for them as well!"

SNITCH ROLLS

Only Aly would be focused on the snitch for now, diligently doing her job as a seeker. It didn't take her long until she spotted the snitch, glinting in the sunlight.

"And it looks like Salinger's spotted the snitch everyone! We might be looking at an early lunch at this rate!"

BLUDGERS

The bludgers, however, were a slightly sadder state to behold. Nobody would take a shot at Aly, fiercely guarded by Ebony, who was keeping a very close eye out for any potential attackers. Jorah would try to take a shot at Avery, but Ebony's terrifying presence protecting Aly meant that he missed his shot. Retaliating, Avery would try to line up shots at both Quinn and Avis, but by trying to balance both, both the Ravenclaw chasers saw the shots coming and were able to dodge them.

"And that's misses from both Jorah and Avery, eesh! Hopefully they can get 'em next time!"

DAMAGE FOULS

"Oh, and what's the Hufflepuff seeker up to?"

Daphne had darted away from searching for the snitch, headed towards Winnie, seemingly at a fast speed. However, responding quickly to whatever Daphne had planned, Winnie managed to dodge out of the way from the attack.

"Either way, looks like Winnie won't be letting that happen!"

KOB FOULS

"Let's check in with the last of our seventh years playing right now, who looks to be... huh, where's she gone?" In the time the announcer had managed to lose Atlas, she'd swiftly managed to blatch Winnie, who'd presumably been more focused on dodging Daphne, and then zoom away from the scene of the crime. "Well, either way, it looks like Winnie has taken a tumble!"

Avis would follow suit, aiming towards Avery. The blatch would be a success, but it wouldn't escape the notice of the announcer. "Hey, Greymond! No blatching! Go on, take a penalty lap!"

Thankfully for both Winnie and Avery, both of them had teammates waiting to save them. Quinn would swoop in to rescue Winnie, and Pamela would be ready to catch Avery.

As for Sage, she would be up to some metamorphagi magic. However, the referee, after a quick discussion, would signal to her that she couldn't do that right now.

Andy cheered and cheered, but it wasn't enough. I mean, it did help... kind of... Even though Andy's and his other bench mate's cheers were loud, the opposing benches boos where even louder! Atmosphere plays a big impact in the game, and if Ravenclaw doesn't have a good one, we are doomed! But... Yes! Ravenclaw scored! Matter a fact; twice! We might win this one after all! Andy thought. But no... things are never this easy, because Hufflepuff's offense took a huge leap from, good, to even better! They scored two more, and tied the game. This made Andy realize that when and if he goes and plays, then it would not be so fun...

Mikey was feeling great after blocking two shots but the feeling didn't last long. The third shot got by him and his heart sank. "Alright" he told himself. "It's ok you can do better. There's still plenty of time." He held his position, determined to gard the rings and not let the next one pass. He was ready and confident that he would not let his team down.

The match began in earnest after all the stronger emotional personalities had finished directing their earnestness at Atlas — which Mamori, privately, was grateful for, given that he genuinely did not possess that particular feature and this was, as far as he could tell, widely known. As with every other match Hufflepuff had played this season, the opening was to send the keeper charging forward and leave the goal unattended in the name of offensive momentum. The whole operation hinged on Camilla winning the ball (which she did) and then the ball arrived in Mamori's hands (which it also did) and this was where the plan began encountering some friction with reality. Mamori had a long list of things he was competent at on a Quidditch pitch. Unfortunately, scoring was not among them, with both attempts blocked by the opposing keeper. At some point the pink-haired captain ran entirely out of patience. "GET ME THAT LAST ONE," he shouted at @Camilla Carter from midfield, "because I flat-out refuse to believe we cannot put a single goal in this entire round!!!" He caught the pass, faked once, and put two past the birb keeper before he could recover, after which he located said keeper and held his gaze for a beat longer than was strictly polite, deploying an impressive amount of self-control to not raise a very specific finger in the process. With the scoreboard reading something he could finally tolerate, Mamori turned back to his team and had just about gotten through "keep it up!" when Winnie Athanatos went down. Mamori clocked @Atlas Reid in the vicinity and needed very little imagination to fill in the rest. He looked at her, mouth open, and pinched the bridge of his nose. The most legendary player on their roster had chosen her final match to go after the one person he had specifically asked everyone to go easy on. What bothered him was that some part of his brain had already gotten excited about the tactical upside before his better judgment finished loading. This was going to be a HUGE problem for future Mamori given that he was the one who'd be handling PR. Glad Winnie was saved, genuinely. If there were any Athanatos family members in the stands, he was choosing to believe they had seen exactly as much as the referee did (which was nothing) but he was going to need a statement ready either way and the chaos was not going to last forever. And for the record, he had suspected all along that no one on this team had ever paid any attention to his pre-game pep talks. Turns out he was right, fuck.

Ophelia followed her usual routine. Wait until the match begins, and then stare intently at the sky. Unlike some of her fellow teammates, who itched to go out into the open air, she quite enjoyed Quidditch from both up there and down here on the bench. She liked following all her teammates with her eyes, mentally calculating what they would need to do to score some points, or trying to find the snitch. Maybe she couldn't help her teammates while she was sitting on the bench, but that sure didn't mean she would slack off.
