Lee's attempt to rough up Pearce went wide, and no contact was made, so no referee whistles split the air.Debuff Fouls
Wallen and Pearce dove for the puck, with the former taking it twice and the latter thrice. Unfortunately, Wallen passed twice to Westonfield-Rivera, who seemed distracted, possibly by the swarm of butterflies flying overhead, and no goals were even attempted by the Requested. The Rookies, however, shot three times, scoring once while being blocked twice by McCarty's impressive high-speed blocking technique. Yarbrough's shimmying, meanwhile, went ignored. The Puck
Kenneally Vidler backwards high sticked McCarty in the face for a bit over half her damage. She definitely did not see it coming for more reasons than one, and might have had a bit of a wiggly tooth afterwards...The Defence
Outcome
Chaewon failed to make contact with Roughing, so no foul
Rose scores once, and no one else scores

────────────────────────────────And distracted she was- Almost out of nowhere a backend of a stick collided with her jaw and had Siobhan pushed backwards in an attempt to protect the rest of her face which in turn left the goal open. The sting of her jaw and taste of blood in her mouth nearly dampened the sound of skates rushing towards her side of the ice. Siobhan's own skates propelled her forward as she heard the hard 'smack' of the puck from one of their opponents sticks.
Too slow to catch it, the puck had sailed into the goal only by a hair or so from her blocking maneuver and Siobhan angrily scuffed the ice with her skates as she dug the puck out and whacked it back into play. It wasn't long again before the sounds of the skates returned to her side and she defended the goal with nothing more than a solid grip on her hockey stick and a high speed block.
One.
TWO!
Siobhan smirked to herself as she wiped another trail of blood off her chin from that stupid attack to her face from earlier. She might have missed one of the goals but she had stopped two of the three. They were still winning and all her teammates needed to do was focus up and they could still win this. Siobhan sailed the puck across the ice again as she returned to her ready stance with her ears open and the thrum of the sting in her jaw beginning to subside over the rush of adrenaline in her veins.

| xxxx | ───A stifled shriek of dismay left the werewolf's lips as she realized what had just happened. Failure. Complete failure. Her eyes narrowed as she watched the puck being shot into their goal thrice and sailing into the net once. Her stick was rigid, immobile, not slamming into the ice with force from her ire of her own inadequacy. It wasn't that she had merely missed, no, it was that she hadn't even tried. Everyone was moving around her, dust from the snow on the ice clouding her vision, as she froze and attempted to see what was happening in the midst of the action. A puck was shot towards her, undoubtedly passed by their Center, Devon. It shot passed her, and all she could do was aimlessly dive towards it once it was already far too late for anything to come of her futile attempt. That, however, was certainly not a strong move. While she was meant to dive toward the Puck again, instead she was stuck trying to regain her composure, slipping and sliding on the ice and looking like a fool. She was Chilean for god's sake, what did she know of ice? Maybe bobsledding would've been the better option, but that seemed like a silly choice to her. Why would anyone ever willingly place themselves in the shoes of a 5-year-old? (this is all ic! | xxxx |

Well, at least they're starting to do a bit better, Harumi knew her teammates were awesome, she didn't need to be told that to know it, she won't exchange her team for any other.
---- Harumi stayed infront of the goal protecting it in case the other team tried to score, she was determined to stop the other team from scoring again, however it seemed her worry was for nothing.
---- Max was able to attack the opponents' goalie and distract her as Rose scored their first goal, finally! Harumi would have jumped in excitement weren't she needed infront of the goal, though she was also hoping the other goalie is alright, she decided to celebrate later anyway, they still have a match to finish.
---- Rose was able to grab the puck another two times, Harumi was watching closely and hoping they would score again, unfortunately though, the next two attempts at scoring were blocked.
---- that didn't mean the puck weren't grabbed by the opponent, no, they grabbed it, when Harumi saw that she opened her eyes wide, she needs to focus, nothing will come past her! The puck was passed to the opponents winger, and just as Harumi was preparing to stop a potential goal, nothing happened, the winger didn't grab the puck in the first place.
---- Harumi lets out a sigh of relief, she didn't have to block anything, which spared her potential embarrassment if she messes up, however she kind of felt sad for the winger though, she must be frustrated she missed the chance to score, she hoped the girl's team would be understanding of her.
---- Harumi felt better now, unlike a while ago, her team was now doing better, and although she still sympathized with the other team, she couldn't help but be glad her team has a chance to win now.
---- And well, last time they were the ones doing badly anyway, so it's only fair they at least get a chance to be a little, just a little, happy.

Perhaps it was due to the other teams winger being totally out of it, but he refused to give the option any attention. They were simply doing well! The shimmey did not seem to do much, but it was great nonetheless. The same could be said for Harumi’s preparations to high speed block.
Rose even managed to grab the puck! To give them the best chance possible he skated his way over to McCarthy to distract. He had not exactly planned it this way, but when he first decided, the backend of his hockey stick met her face beautifully. Grinning wide while skating backwards he observed her spit blood and let the puck fly into the net. Just about how they planned. Well, his goal had been to knock her silly. But he would gladly settle for a loose tooth and the knowledge that it probably hurt like one couldn’t believe.
Things were truly looking up for their team now. He offered grins of encouragement to all team members as they passed each other. He even threw a few smirks in the direction of the other side. Finding his spot once again, he was ready for the final round.

It was her first time failing. Failing. Failing. Maybe it was not the first time, but it still hurts. You don’t know what you did wrong, but you just failed. Everyone knows that life is life and you need to ignore all the mistakes and just go on.
“Wait…” Chaewon was confused when she realized that she didn’t make contact with her opponent, Rose. It was her chance to make the other team's winger get distracted. But Chaewon failed. How could she make a mistake?
She thought that nothing could be worse, but then the other team scored the goal. Max did a backwards high-sticking against Siobhan, and then it was blood. For the first-year student it wasn’t good to see blood, but it was ice hockey, and there were many accidents.
Chaewon hoped for the best for their team because she wanted to win, but so did the other team. They seemed more confident than Chaewon’s team, but maybe it was because they were all first years, and in Chaewon’s team there was one first-year student, two third-years, and one second-year.
”Don’t give up!” Chaewon said quietly to herself. Their team will win. This is going to be her first time playing ice hockey, but she will still win.

With this newest round, Devon tried her best and dove for the puck repeatedly. Twice. Just twice. Twice, she managed to take the puck. Dismayingly, that also meant that she failed thrice. Not good odds at all … 2:3. That gave her less than half of a success rate. Ugh. But, but, maybe … just maybe … maybe she could pull something off with just those two possessions… maybe?
Both times, Devon passed the puck to her teammate, Ariana. Once. Twice. Both times … were a miss. Ugh. So, even her limited successes … just were nowhere near successful. Maybe it would have been better if she had aimed closer to her Winger? Ah, personally, she never thought that far ahead of herself. Maybe she should really learn to do so. It would relieve so much stress!
Despite their offensive setback, Devon watched Siobhan block two of the shots from the opposing team … the girl’s name, she was pretty sure, was Rose. But, the first of those was a successful score, after Siobhan was smacked with a hockey stick. Thankfully, it was just one success for the opposing team. The score was now two to one, with their team, the Requested, still in the lead. Yet, not by much. She needed to focus and try her best to win! With a determined look on her face, she moved into position for the next round, as her mind whirled with possibilities!

A sight came out of Rose's mouth right after the second round ended. It was a tight game but they finally were able to score at least once. Rose was feeling a bit more confident since she succeeded in grabbing the puck and shooting three times although only one of the shots got in it was better than nothing. Hopefully they were getting better and the third and the final round might be similar. In the end the outcome could be better than expected according to their Ice Hockey's level and the fact it was their first match.
Of course Rose was not losing her focus. The other team was still one score ahead of them which was not that bad so they could try to level the score. Worst case the opponents were scoring again one or more times the next round, best case they were scoring and potentially winning. But if they were equalizing that would be as nice.
It was the last round so Rose and her team needed to stay well-focused and pay attention to the other's team moves while trying their best. Whatever the outcomes they would have had fun and learnt something new. Plus it would have been a good match. Not easy but they could be proud of themselves.
Nevertheless now was time to get ready for the last and determinant round of the game.

The second round turned out to be a lot more hopeful than Denise had predicted it to be. Her Wallongong Shimmey did nothing, yes, but the others in her team did great. Chaewon Lee tried to rough up poor Rose, but luckily, she failed. For some reason, the Castelobruxo girl seemed rather distracted by a swarm of butterflies, unusual to see in the cold winters in the Ural Mountains, giving Rose an edge in scoring.
Denise felt elated. Maybe ice hockey, though with the weird "beater" system and wizarding twists, she doesn't exactly enjoy, is not exactly horrible after all. Max actually was able to backward high, stick one of the older third-year Gryffindor girls, and she had to smile at that. Well, maybe that wasn’t a nice thing to do, but the other team is getting back what they deserved since Denise and Rose clearly had had enough of being targeted by Chaewon Lee, the Rookies already had a fair share of damage, faced at least from the first round by Denise herself. Finally, Rose was able to score, yes, finally!
A score means more than nothing, and Denise felt elated and glad. Max often gave grins of encouragement as they passed each other, and for the first time, Denise was able to return that grin, for finally, they scored and maybe weren't so horrible after all.

Both defence players decided to go the debuff route this time, but only one would end up regretting that choice. Kenneally Vidler just barely failed to shove his elbow into McCarty's sternum, but the referee's whistle sent him to the penalty box anyway for trying, so he could have a good long think about trying to foul other players. Whilst the ref was distracted, Lee skated towards Pearce, looking very much like she was going to punch her - but swerved at the last minute, a fine bit of skating. Pearce's confusion afterwards was completely viable, because anyone would have been a bit distracted having narrowly avoided a punch like that!Debuff Fouls
Wallen, Pearce, Westonfield-Rivera, and Yarbrough all dove for the puck this time, with the girl from Castelobruxo coming out on top four of the five times. (During these scuffles, Westonfield-Rivera and Pearce would each find themselves a bit more bruised than before.) Unfortunately, she'd only score twice against the fearsome Everdane's beautifully done Starfish and Stick maneouvre. The second grab of the five would go to Yarbrough, who managed to stick one in past McCarty to bring her team up to a pair of goals, though it wouldn't be enough for the win or even a medal. The Puck
Unfortunately, neither of the teams here would win a medal, but we hope everyone had fun!
Outcome
Chaewon succeeded her Roughing, but didn't make contact, so no foul and Rose is confused for the round
Ariana scores twice, and Denise scores once; the other two are blocked by Harumi
Ariana and Rose each take 50 HP damage for puck mishandling (crit fails)
Max fails to elbow/cob Siobhan, but is sent to the penalty box anyway
