Thank You Professors Errand

Alrighty. On the writing side, all of you are amazing. I read your posts as often as I can (as few as those may be), and every time I am amazed at the world you managed to spin into your words. You can spin a tale like no one else, and it's brilliant to watch you work. I am super excited to read your future threads, which some of you will hopefully have more time for.

Besides that, there have been a lot of RP communities that I have tried, and this is the only one I've stayed at, most of the reasons falling back to the admin, the largest one seeing just how much you care not just about the community as a whole but about the person. The amount of effort you put into keeping this community comfortable and safe is amazing and truly sets this site apart on the internet, for which I thank you.

Marcus - thank you for showing me around and working with me a bit. I am incredibly grateful for your flexibility and encouragement.

With the exception of Zach, you all have been staples here since I started, and it's going to be strange not seeing your HOHs around, but I wish you well wherever you go.

Doc,

Thank you for being the best head of house Hufflepuff could ever have wished for. You had all the traits- kind, helpful, and an amazing contribution to our community as a whole. A true Hufflepuff, a sign of how much potential our house has. Because you define it. But not only did you do your part, you did so, SO much more. The bond that you had with the Hufflepuffs was and will remain unbreakable, and every one of us can say that we are so proud to have been welcomed, guided and cared for by you. Hufflepuff will never be the same again with you leaving, and that is by far an understatement. Thank you so much for your service, you will always have a special place in our hearts.

You do not know how much you mean to all of us. You've had such an impact on the site as a whole, I can't even imagine what the site would've been without you. Everything you've done, all the time you've put into improving our site for the community and player base- it genuinely astonishes me how much you put your hearts into it and I love you all for it.

I will never forget what you for us, every staff discussion you went through and word you wrote. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I appreciate each and every one of you so much, and I know that I'm not the only one. I hope to see you around with your student characters, the ride was fun but it isn't over!

There's hardly the right words to express how incredible you guys are. What you do on the site is amazing and deserves the recognition. I'm sure it's a thankless task at times doing what you all do; It must be stressful in some ways, maybe groan-inducing in others (I sincerely apologise if I had a part to play in any of that!), but that only proves your dedication, patience and hard-working tendencies to the site.

I want yous all to know that I appreciate all that you do, all the ideas you've brought to the table and all the effort spent looking after the site and us.

I'm personally looking forward to seeing more of what you do in the near future. As always, if you ever need Hufflepuff's snuggliest girl, you know where to find me!

TO THE SUPER SIX — (I include @Maya Galim in this site -wide moment of thanks)

I start by wishing you all nothing but the best in your retirement from Admin and staff. Having retired from staff myself, and after only 15 months, I can assure you the water is just fine out here amongst all of us writers. I hope you each get to enjoy it first hand and revel in your creativity while leaving the stress and worries of maintaining this place behind you.

I know only a fraction of the work you all have put in here, but what that toil has produced is really quite special and I hope you all know that and are proud of your efforts. Maya and Caradoc hold a particularly special place in my heart because I worked with them more closely than the others, but I know enough about the others to appreciate their dedication and loyalty to the site and to the community.

Maya, I was just in absolute awe at what you did and how well you did it. It was utterly inspiring and I thank you so much for your time, humor, and guidance.

Caradoc, you just made me laugh, even when you were laughing at my name. **ahem**. There is a lot to be said about that (the laughter, not my name) and it is a fantastic quality in a HoH. I do not envy the new person coming in after you, but I am looking forward to what she will bring and to seeing how Hufflepuff will evolve and try to go on without our fearless leader. Will you go out rolling on your desk chair like a pirate sailing the seven seas? These are things I actually wonder.

And Bubba... I'm sure you worked hard behind the scenes (I'm not really, but I assume you did), but I admit to missing you when you took on staff. Stephen mourned. He really did. I hope you come back and write amongst us.

Change is hard and I never generally like going through it, but sometimes it can be good. Probably most often it is good. I am not liking it right now, but I know it will work out fine in the end. Just know that you all will be missed in your incarnations as Admin stalwarts.

And to those who follow you, I sincerely wish you all the best. You will be standing on the shoulders of giants.

Thank you so much for the work that you do. The site wouldn't run as functionally or as well without your contributions and what you do in the background. While I might not know much, I can hardly imagine the number of things you tackle behind the scenes to get the community and the various opportunities present here up and running fluidly and seamlessly. Despite loving writing and believing that I am good at describing things to some sort of extent, I find that I don't have enough words to express my gratitude. If you would accept the hundreds of 'thank yous', I would gladly type them out one by one; that would be great.

To Doc Browne and Professor Iwasaki,

Doc, I really appreciate the work you did for Hufflepuff during your years of service. While I wasn't there to fully enjoy it all, your presence was what really got me warmed up to the Badger community. You were friendly and approachable, funny and just a fantastic person, even if you couldn't join us in our OOC corner all the time. I enjoyed reading through the lore posts that you were IC involved in. I feel like you made Hufflepuff a safe place, and, sadly, newcomers would be missing out on being under you. Of course, I am excited to have Professor Alarie as the new Head, but it just wouldn't be the same.

Professor Iwasaki, this is a really random thank you note, but seeing you post within Sitewide Announcements and Updates made me excited to open up my remembrall and look through new events that might have come up. You had become a familiar face to me, within Discord and on that thread itself. While a minute thing, you helped keep me up to date on a lot of updates, which is just what I wanted to thank you for.

As mentioned before, I cannot thank you enough for all your hard work and dedication. To the leaving staff and those continuing to work within the team, I hope you keep up the good work, and maybe someday in the future I can follow your steps and help strengthen this community beside you all.

Dear professors, heads of house and the mod team out there...

You've all worked tirelessly throughout the years and have done an outstanding job for the site and the characters in general. I applaud your effort and know that even though you are leaving now, your legacy will remain behind forever and people will continue to talk about you and your characters for all eternity. I am glad you are still remaining on the site though because talented writers and people like yourselves should continue to grace your presence with the rest of the community! The heads of houses are like gods to us, wrapping us up in your warm embraces and protecting us from the evils out there.

Professors have also worked hard to come up with lessons and grade homework while still making it interesting, fun and easy to understand. The latter is more like a recent development and it seems to be working out very well! As for the mod team, I do not envy them. I've tried modding before too and it takes so much time and effort! Thanks for doing your best there!

I must say I never thought all 4 heads of houses would retire at the same time but I understand real life might have gotten in the way. Still, thank you so much for your time, energy and effort. I might not have interacted that much with the adult staff IC but the times I have have been lovely and I can't wait to write more with you in a different capacity with whatever account you decide to make next or continue to write on! Thanks again everyone for everything you've done!

Nora, buddy you've been around for practically hundreds of years! (aka a long time) I basically grew up on this site with you as admin. I didn't know you when you were what? A head girl? I knew you as The Head of Slytherin and I later discovered how cool you actually were. I treasure and admire you. If it means anything, you're the first person I think of when someone says Slytherin, not Snape or Voldemort.

Caradoc, I was around when you were the head of house for hufflepuff, then history of magic professor, then head of house for hufflepuff again. You are a very amazing fellow, and seeing you leave breaks my heart because I spent more time around you in Hufflepuff than I have the others. You mean the world to me, and I'm afraid I have to say... thank you for the music, for the songs I'm singing, thanks for all the joy they're bringing. You left me with the abba songs Caradoc :>

You are kindhearted, sweet and even persistant. You are fun to interface with and I am happy you let me call ya a cow in discord and joke around.
