And, yeah, I can growl, but it doesn’t sound to great yet. I’m slowly working on getting better. I played a song called Brawl (I recommend if you want to hear a war style kind of song) that I had to learn to growl for, but I couldn’t really growl then.

With the sax, you basically are playing your note that is on the sheet music, but at the same time as you play the note, you have to hum a pitch lower or out of tune with the note you’re playing, so it sounds like growling.

For vibrato on sax, it’s a little different. Basically, while we play, we can either hum a pitch or we can do something where we start vibrating our throats and it creates a vibrato.

It’s a lot easier for flutes since they don’t have to bite down and vibrate their throats at the same time, so it’s a little different.

I played flute for like a very brief time but I didn’t list it cause (a) i forgot lol and (b) if you gave me a flute, I would have no idea what note is what finger combo-
I think it’s just vibrating the air that goes over the hole…?
