Slytherin vs Ravenclaw: Match 4
Still teary-eyed and unsure in her ability to see incoming attacks, Phaedra took one from Dmitri’s book and summoned a shield. Conveniently, his Petrificus Totalus reflected off of the surface and hit him square. Nearby, Pericles collapsed from the same affliction. Phaedra gave him a once look-over to gauge his status before darting her eyes to the sole other witch sharing the stage, mentally preparing.Doing as strategized (x)

Slytherin vs Ravenclaw: Match 4
Pericles needed to regain his concentration. Shake off the tension of a high-stakes duel, discard his jitters over impressing an illustrious upper-classman, recover and recollect his drive. The young warlock turned his focus inward with a softly-spoken "Reparifors." He experienced a wave of relief, calm coming just in time to be struck by a Full Body-Bind. His pale face was frozen in a wince before his view was reduced to an upward stare at the ceiling.

Alan watched as a rather uneventful round took place. Dmitri would remain unmoving, trapped in his own spell, whereas Peri would actually manage to break free from the invisible bonds and ready himself for the competition. Santario would once more use the healing charm, this time making sure that Dmitri would not suffer too much, despite the fact that he had barely gotten hurt. However there was reason to this move as once the healing spell washed over the boy, he would regain control and feeling in his limbs, allowing him to ready himself for combat once more. After all so far he had just been hit by his own curse, but perhaps the older Slytherin was sensitive enough that this would bother him. Phaedra would masterfully split her own healing charm, healing both herself and her ally and causing the odds to slightly tip into the eagles favor, as overall they seemed to be doing just slightly better. Who knew how long this duel would remain tipped in their favor however, as both teams seemed to constantly change who was on top.

It seemed everyone was like-minded as Phae and herself mimicked wand movement and incantation. The only difference was that Santario was the only non-spellspread capable caster in the duel. As the purple light washed over Dmitri, she held her free hand out, offering him a hand up if he accepted; if not, she would replace it by her side as if the offer had never happened. So far, this duel wasn’t as intense as her others, but it was certainly interesting. “I think this is the most I have personally watched you take on outside practice.” The comment was spoken softly to stay between her and her teammate. It was not a jab at him, more so an observation. It was easy to underestimate how sturdy Dmitri was.

Dmitri rose from his prone position as he felt the cleansing effects of Santario's healing spell envelop his paralyzed body. After a prompt shake of his head at her offered hand, the Slytherin brushed himself off before shrugging. "At this point, I needed the challenge." Aiming a rakish smirk her way, he quipped, "The only thing I've gotten from them was a blindfold. Even my own spell did so much more to me than those two have, to be honest.
I'm untouchable."

Physical autonomy returned, Pericles drew a shallow gasp, regaining his stance with a grateful glance towards Phaedra. "Thank you," he called, relieved, rolling his shoulders to test their mobility. It felt like a fresh start, which was unnerving considering how far along the duel was. Neither team had made much progress against the other. He wasn't keen on prolonging the standstill.

Phaedra could not shake the strange feeling that both teams were holding back, especially now with each a duellist incapacitated. She used this lull not to focus Ravenclaw's only legal target but to turn her own wand on self and partner, an overhead wave and purple light indicating restored vigor. “My pleasure,” Phaedra responded when Pericles made way to his feet. Whatever awaited next, she needed him standing.Doing as strategized (x)

The duel continued and so would the spells as none of the duellists seemed to have the words mercy or rest written down in their dictionary. As soon as Dmitri broke free from the binds of the curse he would conjure up two blindfolds, that would have snapped around the eyes of both Phaedra and Pericles, if they haven't done so well in evading the attack. A rather nasty spell as Alan knew from his own experience. Both the Slytherins seemed to be going for tactical spells, rather than trying to damage their opponents, as Santario would wave her wand and conjure up a thick fog that would loom around the eagles, giving quite the spooky atmosphere. The fog was so thick, the audience and even Alan would have trouble to really picture what was going on. Perhaps Santario was practicing for Halloween, which was right around the corner. Phaedra would return the favor of Dmitri and respond with a spread spell, that too, would miss its targets. The one aimed at Santario seemed to miss as a feeling of unease took momentary hold of the girl, whereas the spell cast at Dmitri would simply get lost and rush for non other than Pericles, her own teammate. But luckily the Ravenclaw boy knew to dodge ahead of time and cast a wind jinx that would capture both Santario and Dmitri within the jets of wind, forcing them to brace against the wind and limiting their movement once more.

Slytherin vs Ravenclaw: Match 4
"Ventus."
It would not have required studying many of Pericles' duels to determine that this was his favorite spell. The airy Ravenclaw cast it with ease and aplomb, twin gusts split down the center, soaring off to buffet their opponents across the way. Admiring his handiwork was impossible to do, given the fog, and he wouldn't waste a second straining to see the result through the veil. His wand arm quickly cocked back again, legs braced and eyes darting for more magic coming out of the gloom. The spell that careened from his partner's direction had surprised him, but not enough to catch him off guard. He sent back an expression of silent understanding- wands could misbehave at the worst of times. All that mattered was that they kept their heads.
