Summer Duelling Funtime Extravaganza, Match: 2

Finally a hit! Milo's eyes lit up as his intended target this time got hit by his Flipendo. A smug grin formed its way onto his lips but was quickly wiped off. Curling over in light pain, a strong gust of wind hit him hard. Casting a glance over to the direction it had come from it seemed he wasn't even the main target. Rotten luck by the caster was more like it.
Hearing Ronnie's concern as the boy had knelt over in pain, Milo would put on a brave face and stand back up, nodding slightly to his partner. "Fine thank you, it is the way of dueling no? Can't dodge them all.."His attention then turned elsewhere yet again. Catching the last bit of the Gryffindor girl's snide comment about waiting his turn Milo's energy fired back up.
"Oh darling, I'm not patient, but I do always get what I want because I pursue my goals no matter how challenging they seem." A mock flirtatious response was given again in retort to her. How fun.
Shaking his blonde head of curls he'd re-steady the grip on his wand. 2 rounds had passed and more were to come, nobody was out quite yet and at any time things could take a turn.

@Cade DarkboundPhaedra was not strong, not physically. She was, however, so flustered by her helpless state that she would summon the muscle to escape anyway. Upon realising that she could wiggle her fingers, Phaedra applied the same force to her other limbs, natural expression finally returning to her face as it unfroze itself. Courtesty of Cade's retrieving—a favour that was unasked but most appreciated—she was back in possession of her silver lime wand. “I'm fine. Thank you,” Phaedra said as she was helped to her feet. If only she could find a means of returning that favour to her now wounded teammate.Doing as strategized (x)

figures that Cade would be targeted the very round after he’d made it completely unscathed. Why, he couldn’t be sure. He didn’t pose much of a threat being one of the younger duelists in the match. But he supposed that was just one of the very reasons for the assaults. He fell to the ground, diving after Phaedra’s wand. And grit his teeth through the spells cast towards him. “Are you alright?” He asked Phae as he helped her to her feet, passing her wand toward her.

One of the international students had now started flirting with Aurelia, who thankfully was able to take it in stride. Rose wasn't sure how to react to her partner being flirted with- was this a complex strategy to win a duel? No, it was more likely that Milosh had the maturity of a first year.
While the Ravenclaws were left scrambling, Rose turned her wand on Cade. "Ventus," she murmured under her breath. As the wind started out of her wand... it split. Rose's eyes brightened, and she wasn't really sure she was seeing this right.
Her Wind Jinx... just split. Rose smiled. That was something she could add to positive things about her dueling. Hey, if she didn't win the duel, at least her Ventus split. Both gusts of wind caught their targets, though it seemed to affect Milosh a little more than it did Cade. She smiled at Aurelia, encouraged by the small compliment. "Thank you."
Rose could swiftly dodge the slug-vomiting charm sent her way and saw out of the corner of her eye that Phaedra was somehow able to break out of the body-bind spell. Rose didn't even know that somebody could do that, but leave it to Phaedra to prove Rose wrong.
She was then distracted a little by a blonde yelling from the crowd. Her mouth hung open a little when she realized it was Charles- Charles Alluring. He was her step-cousin? (Was that a thing?) He was the cousin of her step-brother, and even though Henry and Charles didn't really like each other, Rose had never developed a dislike for the Durmstrang student. And yet now he was saying that she would look good if she was set on fire. Wow. Thanks.
Rose shook her head. "Lions are just a little bit bigger than house cats," she said. "And my hair actually clashes with the color of the fire, so it's not altogether much prettier than on the average person," Rose added, a little jokingly, to Aurelia.

Spells were flying, and after the skillful dodges that Nessie had watched earlier, she was honestly expecting more dodging.
Alas, she was disappointed (but also quite impressed) as five spells met their marks. Nessie found herself wincing as four of those spells collided with Rose. Phaedra's blindfolding spell disrupted the Gryffindor's sight, and Nessie found herself wanting to cover her own eyes so as not to see what happened next.
But she couldn't do that; it was her responsibility to observe and ensure that nothing outside the rules occurred. Still, Nessie was starting to see why duels usually had only four participants, as the sheer number of spells striking Rose was overwhelming to watch.
In addition to the blindfolding spell, Phaedra's wand seemed to act all on its own, firing off another spell that Nessie thought looked a lot like the Extinguishing Charm, which fortunately didn't seem to have any effect when it hit Rose. Verona, who was also aiming at Rose, cast a powerful knockback jinx which also met its mark.
Nessie admired Aurelia's intention to help her teammate, but the minor healing charm failed, adding to Rose's injuries.
Cade made some evasive movements as if to dodge spells, but none came his way. Instead, it was his teammate Phaedra who was struck by Milosh's blindfolding spell.
Nessie couldn't help but worry for all the duellists, this was turning out to be much scarier than she'd anticipated!

"Again?" the aggravation at her failed spell was apparent in her voice. Sometimes, Aurelia really didn't know what her wand was doing or if it was her own personality clashing with her own wand's motives. Previously, it took an unnecessary number of tries to heal her former teammate, and now Rose. "Sorry, my wand doesn't seem to like you..." she muttered after the produced spell did quite the opposite it was supposed to and singed her teammate.
It seemed that Rose was rather distracted by the loud boy in the spectators, two seized their chances at the red-head. Now blindfolded and hurt from the knockback jinx. As if an overpowered PS4 controller, her wand was growing warmer to the touch. "Pretty please?" Looking a bit delusional and talking to her wand. Rose was in a state of peril, that was for sure. It wasn't too long into the duel and Rose wasn't looking too good.

Four spells came rushing at Rose. A knockback jinx hit her, knocking the breath out of her system. Then, before she could recover, a blindfold wrapped itself around her eyes, blocking her vision, and then another flash of pain added to the mix. Rose gritted her teeth. Either it was the duelists or just the world that was teamed up against her. It could have just been by chance, but... really?
Aurelia then apologized. "Sorry, my wand doesn't seem to like you..."
Wait, that was Aurelia? Rose was sure it couldn't have been on purpose- had Aurelia been trying to heal her, then? Rose smiled a little. "That's okay," she said.
Come on, push through.

Ronnie was ready to fire another spell when a whistled erupted from within the deep of the spectator. His blue-grey eyes searched where the sound come from until he saw a banner with a drawing of him alongside his school color, his school crest, and punching bunnies. Then his eyes traveled down to who held the banner.
Ronnie's eyes twinkled with delight and joy when he saw Charles among the spectator, cheering for him on the top of his lungs. Hearing and seeing the loud cheer that came out from Charles, make him like the blonde even more. Ronnie never understand crushing on first sight but that was what he felt for the blonde.
The Castelobruxo student has his first crush at Charles from day one. If only this was not as serious as a Duelling Tournament, Ronnie let out a small laugh at how Charles somehow managed to support both him and Milosh but at the same time roasted the Gryffindor team. Aside from his brother who occasionally came to his Duelling match, Ronnie never had any other supporter up until today.
When Milo assured him that he was okay, the dark-haired boy nodded his head. "Fine thank you, it is the way of dueling no? Can't dodge them all.."The older student said to the fourth year. "You are right"Ronnie replied. It is true that when it comes down to Duelling pain bounded to happen along the way.
Spells were not always dandy and nice. The Castelobruxo Duellist then refocused his attention back on the game at hand. For a while, the oldest out of the Ravenclaw team managed to break free from the body-bind spell. Ronnie never saw someone could do that and Phaedra just shows Ronnie how excellent of a Duellist she is.
Even though Phae managed to break free from one spell, it did not save her from the blindfold spell that Ronnie at first thought was sent from one of the Gryffindor team. The blue-grey eyes boy did not hear Milosh was the one who cast the spell until the black fabric conjured from his wand and flew towards Phae.
But it seems the older Ravenclaw shares the same war strategy as Milosh as she also cast the same spell towards the amber-haired Gryffindor girl before her world went dark. At first, Ronnie thought Rose managed to dodge Phae's spell but it seems it was just the red-haired unlucky this round. Rose also shared the same fate as Phae.
The black fabric wrapped around her eyes and thus make her could not see her surrounding. Seeing an opening and an opportunity, Ronnie used the momentum to attack Rose. "Flipendo,"Whispered the Castelobruxo student as he pointed out his wand toward the Gryffindor girl. A jet of light emitted from his wand and met his mark.
Ronnie smiled at that. If only Cash could see him in action, they will be proud. Cash was not so verbose with their cheering and their support towards the Catelobruxo student as Charles did but Ronnie knew his cousin will be proud. As Ronnie saw the state Rose was in, the blue-grey eyes boy shuffled towards his Duelling partner.
"What's our next move?"Inquired the fourth year as his eyes bounced from one person to the next of his opponents.

Another good round. Milosh would take advantage of the chaos of spellcasting in every which direction. With less sight there'd be less accuracy, logically. That in mind, the blonde boy would cast Obscuro in the direction of the threatening Ravenaw girl. A blindfold would emerge and wrap itself around the girl's face. Success.
Hus eyes drifted over to Ronnie right as he cast a Flipendo like discussed. The spell would hit and the younger Gryffindor would get spun through the air. Wincing lightly, he'd remember a few times he got hit with a nasty Flipendo. The older Gryffindor that had caught his eye tried casting a healing charm but it ultimately backfired. Yikes.
Shaking the thoughts from his head, he'd clear his brain enough to get a sense of what they should do next and decided on another plan. Seeing Ronnie lean over he'd whisper in his ear and nod curtly before readjusting his stance.Action: As strategized
