Truth or Dare — Group TWO
@Cassandra Ironwoods as Ronnie @Quentin GagnéHaley couldn't help but smile as Ronnie looked at her questioningly and whispered softly what she was doing. But she didn't let anything get her down, the show must go on and so Haley sang on and put on a show all her own just for Ronnie. She looked deep into his eyes and her green ones were lost in his.
Lightly bowing for his clap, she smiled sheepishly at him as he gave her a kiss. "Thanks." She whispered, her cheeks turning red and glowing where his lips had touched her cheeks. If she was going to get a kiss for every song, then this was definitely not going to be the last song she would sing for Ronnie.
As the truth or dare game continued, it took the redheaded Gryffindor a moment before she regained her senses. Meanwhile, she didn't lose sight of Ronnie and her thoughts were only about him and the moment he gave her a kiss.
Come on Haley, get yourself together - she admonished herself and tried to collect her thoughts again. It was her turn to give a new dare and this only suited her, it helped divert thoughts to something else. "Quentin Gagné?" she asked aloud, waiting for someone to answer her call. "I have your next dare for you." She announced with a smile.
Handing out dares or truths always involved some creativity, especially if you didn't know the other person. Haley had to think again for a moment, but remembered a children's birthday party where some truths and dares had made the group of children laugh. Haley tried to find a dare from that memory and it wasn't long before she was laughing quietly at the memory and handing out her dare. "Try licking your elbow." She finally said, eager to watch this try.

When Jack heard his name called, his head darted in the speaker's direction and saw a girl he didn't recognize. Said girl was about halfway up the mast with the crow's nest and he waved at her. "Over here!" When he heard her dare, he laughed and rubbed his hands together for comedic effect. "Oh, this is going to be so fun," he said aloud, glancing around at the people surrounding him for potential future prank victims. He was grateful to the girl in the crow's nest, though he wasn't sure of her name. He'd have to keep an eye on her.
It wasn't long before a new round started and the cannon presented each student with a new target. Once again, Jack wasn't the slightest bit familiar with the name he got and assumed it belonged to yet another foreign student. "Phy...Phylicia?" he began, sounding it out slowly as he tried to make sense of the name. "Phylicia Stanwood?"
When he caught sight of the girl, he noticed she was tall - taller than him, even - and that he had seen her earlier on talking to a boy who must have also been a foreign student. At that, he got an idea and a bright grin lit his face. "Phylicia, what was it you called that bloke over there a little while ago? 'Maxi'?" His grin broadened. "You sure did look happy to see him. I'll tell you what."
Leaning in closer to her, he gestured toward the young man with the dark hair and grey eyes. "I dare you to hold hands with 'Maxi' and keep holding hands until the end of the game," Jack told her with glee. "That shouldn't be too hard, should it? I sure hope he doesn't get any weird dares, though, or continuing to hold on to his hand might get pretty tough."
Jack chooses Truth for the next round.

It seemed that his assigned person was absent for some reason, so the cannon filled in as his quizzer. Maxi precisely caught the paper fired from the barrel, and unfolded it to read. Most embarrassing clothes to wear to class? His brows knitted as soon as the syllables were pronounced, the boy quickly into the mood of consideration. Beauxbatons was an elegant academy, the uniforms better than any other magical schools around the world. He thought hard - really, embarrassing? Being usually an uptight and careful person Maxi had always been keeping himself from embarrassing moments, and really he couldn’t think of a time that he’d caused troubles in school for attire. This was…rather a hard question, really.
He again focused on the question, endeavouring to dig a useful hint out from his memory. Class…his eyes fell on the word, and almost immediately a grin appeared on his lips. It didn’t define what class, huh? So it could be when he was still homeschooled - his father’s private class could be a class. And that was far easier. There was once when he got up late thanks to his grandfather’s gala the last night, and unfortunately he found himself late for class. Pyjamas was what he was still wearing when he rushed into the studio, and moreover Vincent de Fostoncy had visitors that day - fellow honourable pureblood family, whom was listening to his father boasting about his son - that was Maxi, yup, who now showed up in pyjamas with messy hair.
“Pyjamas.” Slowly he announced, voice louder than usual (he wasn’t sure if everybody could hear, but that’s his extremity). “I once wore pyjamas to class with guests visiting.” Considering that this probably would not provoke anyone’s interest he didn’t provide further information, not to mention that Maxi wasn’t very into the idea of explaining everything. Telling this out in front of everybody around was still a bit frightening and embarrassing to him, after all.
With the cannon firing off names again, this time he was paired with a certain Maggie Hawkins. Endeavouring to locate the person, Maxi called the name out. “Miss Maggie Hawkins?” If Maggie was good enough to respond, he’d walk toward her. “If, by any chance, someone happens to go through your collection, what’s the weirdest thing they could find?” That shouldn’t be too pushy a question. This girl seemed like interesting person, and Maxi did not doubt at all that the reply must have been intriguing as well as thought-provoking.
It was when he heard his name pronounced by an unfamiliar tone, and it was an instinctive reaction that he’d look that way. A boy with auburn hair was talking to Phyllis, the latter must have received a brand new dare this round. So…this dare had something to do with him? An eyebrow was raise with confusion, when he looked over at the boy’s face with glee. And almost immediately he knew that this dare shouldn’t be a “normal” one - or, it wouldn’t come as that easy. Prank-like, perhaps, who knows what this British boy was considering?
Hesitating if he should walk up to introduce himself and join the dare - which certainly needed his involvement - Maxi had to admit that he was actually a little eager to know what it really was. Meeting Phyllis again today was truly an exciting thing, and to play this game with her only added more fun into it. He’d certainly love to help her out if she did need him to complete her dare. Yet he still had his own truth to complete, so he’d better wait for it first. Phyllis would reach out if she was in need of him, wouldn’t she? And if she did not need his help by any chance, Maxi trusted her judgement nevertheless.
And so he waited, for Maggie’s reply, Phyllis’ dare and his own truth, patiently.

Her ears caught the sound of her name--her full name, which she couldn't say she particularly liked being addressed as, though she would probably be hearing a lot of it today--and she turned on her heel toward the noise. "That's me!" The boy gave her what would be her first dare of the day: declare her love for someone. Ah, starting off easy.
She wasn't put off by the dare, but it wasn't exactly the sort of thing she was hoping for, she supposed. Something athletic or silly would be more up her alley. But who was to say she couldn't still make it a little silly? Olive, scaling up to the crow's nest with one hand, had caught her attention, and this would certainly be more fun with someone she knew, a teammate, than a total stranger. "Olive!" she yelled up. "I have to tell you, I think I'm madly in love with you! Your goal-scoring abilities are just so hot." She blew her a very-joking kiss, just for good measure. There, mission accomplished.
Dare was her choice again, of course; she might change it up later in the game, but for now she was still after some good dares. But this time the paper she caught out of the cannon read dare as well, and she thought she might have an idea. Not the coolest idea ever, by any means, but it seemed only fitting. "Hey, Haley Rose?" Once she had her attention, she smiled. "I dare you to talk like a pirate for at least the next round. Throw on a pirate hat if you're feeling extra spicy." This was a ship, there was a whole bin of costumes and props, they absolutely needed some pirate talk.
And there was her name again, said this time with a little more difficulty. She sighed; this was why she nicknamed anyone and everyone that had more than two syllables in their name. "You all can just call me Phyllis." Whether people actually heard her and were able to mentally tie the name to her face was another story, but hey, it was out there now.
She could see the guy's mental wheels turning, the exact moment he had an idea he liked and his face lit up in a grin. Oh, this should be good. She couldn't say she'd expected Maxi to be brought up, but she nodded. "Yeah," that was who she'd been talking to. And of course she'd been happy to see him; they were friends, and ones usually separated by a whole ocean at that.
He wanted her to hold Maxi's hand for the rest of the game? "...Alright." Her cheeks felt a little warm, something about the way he seemed so giddy about it, had leaned in like it was something confidential, but whatever. It was a dare, and Phyllis wasn't going to chicken out over this. So she walked over.
"Hi again. I've been dared to hold your hand for the rest of the game." It wasn't a problem hearing the dare. It wasn't a problem getting the words out. But now, hearing herself say that, and knowing that she had to actually do that now, she suddenly felt a little less confident. Maybe a lot less confident. They had held hands before, when they danced at the spring ball, and that had been just fine, so why did it feel like this had a lot more weight all of a sudden? It was just a dare. "So, uh..." She smiled at him, but it wasn't quite her normal smile, teeth hidden behind pressed lips. She held her hand out.

Outfit: x Unfortunately, it seemed her dare would end up being too hard for Violet to complete. That was slightly disappointing, because it would've been a hilarious dare to witness, but maybe Adelaide will just have to reuse it for her next victim.
When someone called her name, she turned around, "Yes?" She called back in return. She spotted a girl waving and walked over to her, smiling gently at her and confirming that she had chosen truth with a simple nod. She waited as the girl thought of a truth to tell her. If she could be anything at all, what would she be? She hummed in thought, rubbing her chin as she thought about it, "That's a good question," she trailed off as she thought about what answer to give the girl. Adelaide could follow in her mother's footsteps and be a healer, but she wasn't entirely sure that's what she herself wanted to be. Being a dragonologist, like her father, seemed cool. But did she really want to be them things or is she just thinking about them because it would be nice to follow in her parent's footsteps? An auror would be fun, and she's pretty confident that she could be great at it. Yeah, an auror. That'd be an impressive job to have.
Coming to a decision and realizing she's left the poor girl standing there for a while as Adelaide thought over her answer, she finally replied, "Probably an auror. That would be a really fun job, and I think I'd be pretty good at it. But honestly, that might change over the years. For now though, being an auror would be great."
Her truth question answered, it was quickly time for another round. The cannon once again shot out a piece of paper towards her, her next victim being someone named Manuela Macedo who had chosen dare. Great! At least Adelaide could reuse her amazing (in her opinion) dare that unfortunately wasn't completed last round. "Manuela Macedo?" She called out. If she grabbed someone's attention, she'd walk over to them and give them a gentle smile, "I see you've chosen dare. So, I dare you to bark in between each word you say until the next round."
Was it a bit boring to reuse the same dare again? Perhaps, but since the dare didn't get completed last time, Adelaide probably wasn't violating any made up truth or dare rules. She could reuse a dare if she wanted to, and she really wanted someone to actually complete this dare because it would be hilarious. Maybe not for her poor victim, but definitely for her.Adelaide is choosing TRUTH for the next round.

“Those who do not risk, do not benefit.” —Portuguese proverb
Quite proud of herself for completing the dare with ease, Manu finished her second lap around the deck of the boat and came back to rest where the remainder of her peers had settled for the playing of this very odd game. It seemed that the limits of Truth or Dare were based only in the creativity of its players - Manu spotted people donning costume pieces, baring their hearts for others, singing, and all sorts of different things that she herself never would have dreamt up in a million years. Even Ronnie seemed to be getting close to Haley, a pretty redheaded girl who was in the Rum-themed, mainly-Castelobruxo tent with them, and if he happened to glance Manu's way, the dark-haired girl would shoot him a thumbs-up and a wink. Good for Ronnie; he deserved to have a little bit of fun while they were here in London, and the Haley girl was pretty and seemed sweet. If Manu had to give her approval to someone to take the heart of her duelling partner, the ginger seemed like a nice enough person to do so.
By the time Manu finished her second lap, the girl she'd dared to climb atop the crow's nest had done so, and Manu clapped skywards at her in congratulations. Honestly, climbing the crow's nest seemed like a fun enough thing to do - Manu almost wished she had just done it herself in the first place, rather than saving it for a dare for someone else. But there was still plenty of time left in the game, and so Manu just grinned up at Olive, proud to see that her dares seemed fun enough to accomplish. She was about to shout encouraging words to her, too, when suddenly her name was once again being shouted, and Manu looked around wildly to see who had yelled for her. "Yes? I am Manu," she shouted back, waving a hand around. We really should have done introductions before starting to play. Maybe all of them know each other, but I obviously don't know any of them.
A tall blonde - or, at least, taller than Manu, though probably a few years younger, judging off of her round face - made her way over, quickly assigning Manu the dare to bark in between each word. Bark? Like a dog? That was... not what Manu had expected when it came to a dare. As the girl finished the truth and seemed done with Manu, Manu reached out to her quickly before she could go. "Wait, are you-" Merda. Shit. Two seconds in and she had already failed the dare. Clearing her throat and trying not to curse herself inside, Manu repeated her words: "Wait, au, are au you au the au Adelaide au Barlowe, au maybe? Au?" she added, as an afterthought.
When Adelaide would confirm yes, Manu would break into a relieved smile. Good - now she didn't have to go around barking at everyone on the boat just to try to figure out who this Adelaide person was. Such luck that she had been assigned the same person as who had been assigned Manu herself. Barking in between each word I'm not writing it out this time, Manu would pose a simple truth: "Have you ever killed anyone?"
What? It was a question! And a good one, at that. It was always good practice to know if you were in the company of murderers, in Manu's opinion. Not that she thought the young blonde looked capable of murder, but, well... one could never be too careful.

Coraline waited for the next round, and when it came she waited for someone to approach her. She had chosen dare since the first round she had gone with truth. She wanted to mix it up a bit. When someone walked up to her, coraline smiled at them. The dare was to walk around sideways. Should be easy enough. Sort of like a crab. Coraline thanked the girl and went to find whoever she was to find her assigned person.playing as coraline harvey
Walking around sideways was not ideal but it wasn't that difficult. Of course, many times she fought the urge to just turn and walk normally again, it certainly was slowing her down a bit. She didn't feel awkward but she definitely looked it. She suddenly became aware of the water around the boat, every tiny wave. The air felt like it was suffocating her and the sun much too bright. She stopped moving and looked around, hearing a faint buzzing in her ears. Her head started to hurt just a bit. She became aware of every voice around her, every person. It was too crowded. She forgot how to breath for a good minute until she calmed down and took 3 gulps of air. She had fun but she wanted to leave. Maybe she had gotten sea sick or maybe the crowd had made her sick. Whatever it was, she apologized repeatedly and made her way to the corner of the boat and sat down, tucking her head between her knees and closing her eyes.

Truth or Dare
xxxxxxxxA pirate's hook. Like an idiot. Still, it didn't really matter, in the grand scheme of things, what you did. You could really do anything at all in life, and it still wouldn't matter! Or whatever. Maggie was kinda an idiot, though, if she was being honest, so it wouldn't be a total loss to wear a hook.
Maggie fit on one pirate hook, then another, until she looked like an odd approximation of Mr. Krabs. If Mr. Krabs had pirate hooks instead of lobster claws, or whatever. All set now, fitted with her new fashion accessories, Maggie turned to her first victim. It was hard to grab the paper with the hooks, but she managed, holding the fortune cookie fortune-like paper between the sharp edges. "Verona Carlito Andréas?" She called out, searching for the boy's face. Ah! Verona. She smiled and nodded at him. "Ah. Howdy, there. I'm Maggie. What... is the most embarrassing thing that you've ever done?"
As Ronnie answered, she turned her attention back to the second one who was speaking to her. Maximilien de Fostoncy, how fancy. "Present!"
Collections... collections... the issue was that Maggie had so many collections that it would be hard to choose between. "I... well, I have this Twilight Sparkle toy. One of those ones with hair. A younger girl approached Quentin—she introduced herself as Glen, the aforementioned Glenys. "Oui, I'm Quentin. Your fear?" Surprisingly the girl said drowning in a chocolate fountain. Quentin was confused. That sounded like a dream—well maybe not the drowning part. But still! Chocolate?! "I think you are in luck. I have seen no chocolate fountains here in Britain."
Before Quentin could ponder Glen's answer more, one of his classmates appeared before with his dare. The boy asked him to tell a funny story—not the dashing dare Quentin had been hoping for, but he would not cower from the challenge. "Hmm, un dryad et un dragon? Yes, I can do that!"
Quentin took a few seconds to collect his thoughts—his main thought being what the heck is a dryade??? But he didn't dwell too much and let a story spill out of him, "Once upon a time there was a dragon. His name was Dryad. He did not know who he was or where he came from. He was the only dragon, and he was the only being named Dryad. He flew the whole world searching for his origin. Somewhere in Florida, he overheard explorers hunting for the fountain of youth. He was able to fly ahead of them and find the said fountain. But it was not for youth, it was for chocolate. He promptly forgot his search for his life story and covered himself in the chocolate. He then drowned, and the fountain dried up with him. And that's why he was named Dryad!"
Quentin would let the deeper meaning of the story, its dark comedy, its many motifs, etc., sit with his classmate for a while. He went to the cannon to get his next victim: He received a John Wright with a truth and a dare.
Yelling worked for Quentin last time, so he once again used his outside voice: "John Wright! Please tell us who you hate the most! And then I dare you to pinch the person you think is most attractive here on the arm!"

Truth or Dare — Group TWO
MODERATION POST—Round IIIOlive Adair had attepted to be kind to Manuela Mercados, recognizing the language barrier. Instead of a comedy routine, she would adjust the dare to make a disturbance. But would Many understand that, either? Whether yes or no, Olive would be off, answering to another's call for a dare to climb the crow's nest. Halfway up, she called down to the group for Jack Burnett, shouting out his dare to pull off a prank on someone in the group. Something that he was more than happy to do. Everyone had best keep their surroundings in mind.
Glenys Uruqart had been called with a rather interesting mispronunciation of her name to announce her deepest fear. Drowning in a chocolate fountain. Which seemed a might bit less terrifying than in the deepest dark of the ocean surrounded by sharks. But who would expect a fountain?? Or the disgust that had accompanied the word. Coraline Harvey would be her next target, however, and she would quickly approach, declaring the girl to walk sideways for the next good while. Evidently she seemed to have a theme of dares related to walking. Coraline would do just that for a good while, not at all embarassed. But something else would transpire. Like a combination of heat exhaustion and an anxiety attack, she would feel the need for space, excusing herself from the game.
Verona Andreas had been dared to make a scene. Something he could do. At random, he would run around, booping peoples noses seemingly without pattern. At least until Haley had approached, serenading him seemingly at random in order to fulfil her own dare. Reduced to a romantic puddle, he would slip, just a little bit, to her romantic gesture. She would depart and another would call his name, tasking him to share about the most embarrassing thing he'd ever done. Cue a long story about impressing someone with trampoline athletics and losing one's pants. Evidently he'd never let his boxers down after that. After long ado, the canon would pair him again with Olive Adair, to whom he would present a truth question, asking her to admit just how good looking she thought of herself.
Quentin Gagne had been given the challenge to tell a funny story about a Dragon and a dryad. Confusion would be evident on is face for a short while as he tried to come up with one, but the french would eventually spill from his tongue. Did it really count, though, if nobody on the ship could even really understand what he was saying? Ah well. Task done, he would go off to find the target of his next pairing. John Wright. Finally a good dare as the boy would be tasked to pinch the elbow of the person on the boat he thought to be most attractive. Whether he would comply or not, though, he would make this the last round.
@John Wright did not post this round and has thus been removed from the game.
Haley Rose was left blushing and sightly flustered after her dare, more than okay with the payment of a little kiss if that was going to be the case after every song. It tok her a bit to crecentre herself, but when she did, she had been tasked to give a dare to Quentin Gagne. The mission should they choose to accept it: to try to lick their elbow.
After receiving his dare, Jack Burnett would go to address the subject of his own assignment before completing it. Phylicia Stanwood had been assigned by the canon. True to his keen obsrevational skills and penchant for mischief, he would challenge her to hold hands with 'Maxi' for the rest of the game. Here's hoping they didn't get any dares to jump into the water, or go climbing. The two would be bonded now in their fates, if Jack had any say in it. And so, with warm cheeks and a sheepish smile, she would approach Maxi to accomplish just that, holding her hand out to him and explaining the dare.
Phylicia Stanwood seemed exactly the sort to excel in this sort of environment. Bold and cheeky, she hadn't balked at all at John's dare to declare her love for someone. Without missing a beat, she would yell across the ship to Olive, announcing her love for the girl and her hot goal-scoring abilities. She had even sealed the notion with a kiss. Clearly a ship in the making if ever there was one. Perhaps someone would help them along with a shared dare for some minutes in heaven in the provided rooms. Sheesh. Moving on from that, she would get Haley Rose, and change things up a bit, daring the girl to talk like a pirate for at least the next round.
It seemed embarrassing stories were a common question. Everyone always liked the dirt. Maximillien de Fostoncy had also been asked to deliver such a story, relaying one of having worn his pajamas to class even with visiting guests. Not so bad, really. His personal embarrassment would be shortlived as the cannon continued, pairing him next with Maggie Hawkins. Another truth question bordering on embarrassment. Having been asked what the weirdest thing someone would find if going through her collection, she would shamelessly speak of her MLP addiction, reporting Twilight Sparkle as a permanent resident in her sock drawer.
Adelaide Barlowe had been asked a thought-provoking question to consider what she would be if there were no limitations. Her answer: an auror. Fun might not have been the descriptor most in that profession would likely give, but here's to wishful thinking. Nevertheless, she thought herself good for the role and would go to hunt her first target, Manuela Macedo, daring her to bark in between each word until the next round. If only Raul or Boe were around to compare her to the dog they often considered her to be. It took her a moment to adjust to the dare, but she would make a good show of it, conveniently realizing in the process that the two girls had gotten each other that round. She would return the favour of a task (forgetting the barking in the process), and ask Adelaide if she had ever killed anyone before. Really, who were these Castelobruxo kids? What kind of question was that??
Equipped now with a really cool and not at all dorky looking plastic pirate hook, Maggie Hawkins would earn major nerd points as she was given her next assignment. Verona Andreas. The question to him would be (SHOCKINGLY) another one about the most embarrassing thing he had ever done. Perhaps the opening rounds really should have been a group introduction, sharing the most embarrassing story as an icebreaker.
Given Coraline and John's exit from the game, two had been left without personal challenges to fulfil. Not to worry. Bang. Bang. The canon was always more than happy to fill in the holes, and two crumpled canonballs would be fired into the masses, one headed each for Glenys and Maximillien, each to receive a truth question.
Glenys Urquhart: "What do you have in your room at home that your parents don't know about? Answer out loud so everyone can hear."
Maximilien de Fostoncy: "What is something that you have done that you blamed on another person? Answer out loud so everyone can hear."
