Posts are in sequential order, we have hundreds of players so it can be expected that posts will be moved back a page or two. Generally spamming a request is frowned upon. If your request is not answered after 2 weeks and you are not on the current page, then by all means but if you made your post a few days ago and you are already 2 pages back all you are doing then is spamming for first page against a bunch of other members and that wont help anyone get a roleplay partner.
I also suggest reaching out via other site social mediums -- our discord, the at the counter thread, joining some social clubs, reaching out in your common room, etc.

when would students know that they had been picked to be on their school's hexwizard team? would you have to say that they attended the previous ball and placed their name into the goblet?? xxx

The Champions were made aware of the fact that they are Champions during the last Blossom Ball. These members were chosen by me in hopes that they would remain active and engaged throughout the arc. They all placed their name in the goblet at my behest and they got to IC respond to getting their name chosen for the sake of a storyline.
The Champions have been tasked with creating a team (for the mechanical reason of involving multiple players in an adventure). Players have been encouraged to make their interest known to the captains so that they can hopefully be selected. By this point it would be expected that the Captains have a full team. Stats will close on the start date of the Chess Event (Task 1). Many Captains are likely still excepting "back-ups" or "second string" members so if someone drops out of the game, they have a replacement waiting. As for when you would in character know you are on a 'team' with a champion, that is between you and the Champion as that is a story that is player driven by you both as stated by Dealla above.

To answer the deleted question: Not sure if there is a specific post for NaNo questions, but as I can’t find it, I’m posting it here. For the week one prompt (the morning routine), does the routine have to be the main character from your story? My character isn’t human, so it’s harder to do a morning routine.

Barynx the Ancient, the greatest of the annelids in the vast desert rarely slept these days. Brooding for the last decade, the three century old sandworm had been searching for a place to lay her great clutch. Hunters have sought the great beast for not only glory but also profit, the great chitinous plates that covered her immense body were worth a great deal to the nomadic men of he desert and the meat while tough and stringy was nutrient-dense and source of vital protein that could sustain a tribe for years to home due to her great breadth. Yet she feared nothing for her sake, many have tried and failed over the centuries.
Her day would be thus, breeching the stony sands and grinding the earth within her great, circular maw. In spite of her size, well over 100 meters in length, she subsisted off the tiniest of organisms in the sand as well as the occasional, unfortunate larger game, such as man or beast if one was unfortunate to cross her path. She was unlike many sandworms in that she actively sought the meat of man and worm in particular, the nomads claim that it was due to a dire madness, a curse of the blackened sands in which she was born that caused such bloodlust when in truth it was that she had committed a great taboo even amongst her own kind and it had addled her mind and made her hunger for not just man but also worm. Neither were abundant in the desert, she had ensured that. But she had learned that man was rather industrious and the reason why they could not be found ambling across the sloping landscape or within the confines of the diamond maelstrom was because they traversed below the surface, making bunkers deep beneath the ground closer to the natural reservoirs. So she had begun to venture deeper.
Water is poison to such creatures, a fact that is well known so many men feel 'safest' nearest the waters that if Barynx breeched, would end her also, but over the centuries she knew the desert well. So days were spent in the dark and cool earth, devouring the earth and leaving cavernous openings in her wake. The tunnels would collapse in a matter of days, making them both dangerous and temporary for hunters who might pursue her.
Laying her clutch was a forgone conclusion, as man was within the earth she would lay her massive clutch on the black dunes of her birth.
