Hephaestus Ironwood, grew up travelling around the world with his mother, a Magizooligist by the name of Elizabeth. His father had originally worked with dragons, having much respect for the creatures, however he later died due to injuries that he had got whilst working with them.
The ironwood family originated from Wales, having spent generations there, and wracking up a large fortune through their involvement in magical medicine and how it tied to herbology and magical creatures.
What lay unknown for so long was that Hephaestus’ late father, Corvus Ironwood, hadn’t always been faithful to his wife Elizabeth; a factor that led to the birth of Odin Westergaard
Odin grew up in Norway, meeting his first partner, Leif Nyberg, during his time at Durmstrang. Later, the pair travelled around the world by a handmade boat they had built together, eventually coming to England where they met Anastasia Riddle. The three then ran off to Wales together because Anastasia’s family did not approve of the polyamorous relationship, eventually settling down and starting a family.
Hephaestus and Odin didn’t meet until the beginning of their children, Qrow and Phantom, starting Hogwarts, their similar appearances and lifestyles raising a multitude of questions. Qrow has three parents, all of which came from pure-blood families.
Daemon and Niamh had an arranged marriage, with both the Beithir and Willow family having strong pureblood ideals, as well as Niamhs father wanting his daughters to marry rich. The two were engaged to be wed at sixteen and married later upon their graduation from Hogwarts.
They had become close friends during their time together in school, despite being from separate houses, however, they were also both deeply in love with their close friend Hephaestus Ironwood.

Her father, Mìcheil was a nasty man, specifically to his daughters as he only wanted a male heir whilst her mother, Lillias, was ignorant to his behaviour. When she was first informed of the arranged marriage she was to have, she was furious as she didn’t want to pick between the two boys that she was so deeply in love with.
The Willow family originated in Scotland, and whilst they had originally been fabulously wealthy, their fortune was lost during raids on darker families and many of the elders of the family were sentenced to time in Azkaban.
Daemon Beithir - as well as his twin sister Lillith - was born into a rich pureblood family that had old and questionable ideals. The Beithir family has their hands in just about every inch of wizarding politics and has for centuries since they came to the UK from Egypt, not only that, but they grew their fortune through the poaching and illegal trading of magical beasts, a practice that, thankfully, ended with Daemon.
Whilst the man never agreed with his families pure-blood beliefs and mistreatment towards magical creatures and occasionally muggles, he kept up relations and appearances until he eventually inherited the Beithir family fortune after his marriage as well as the death of his father.
The family remains well respected amongst other pure-blooded families, as, regardless of their ‘unorthodox’ family style, everyone in it, comes from other respected pure families.
They do not openly voice their support of mixed blood families - nor do they pretend to agree with it.
It is largely assumed by other pureblood families that they do not voice their opinions in order to fly under the radar of the ministry.

I have been inactive since November and, though I don't think I was removed from the index, I would like to explain my absence IG as well considering that Aly is no longer on the Quidditch team and hasn't threaded with any of her friends since the beginning of the year.
My idea for explaining this IG is as follows: I'd like to state in a thread that Aly's father passed away towards the end of the fall semester, and though her mum Hesper didn't have to take her out of school for the funeral seeing as how the Christmas holiday came first, Aly just never returned after the break. Her mum - heartbroken, lonely, and still angry about Aly's teenage rebellion that has already been written in threads as happening in summer and early fall of 2022 - decided to keep her at home and homeschool her instead of allowing her to return to Hogwarts, but by the beginning of June, Aly has convinced her mum to let her return to Hogwarts just in time for her final exams of fourth year.
Please let me know if you have any questions/need elaboration!

Why did Aly's father pass away?
Clarification: Aly’s father was an employee at the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes, which has been in her backstory for ages. As such, he would have gone out into the Muggle world every once in a while, and my idea is that - obvious tw for parental death - he passed away on one of these visits after he was hit by a car while crossing a road, due to the driver not paying attention and Benjamin’s own lack of experience with cars. It would have been sudden and unexpected, hence Hesper’s grief-stricken reaction of keeping her daughter as close as possible. I am happy to come up with a different cause of death if this does not work.

Astoria was concerned that her grandmother wouldn’t make it which resulted in her missing class and falling into a state of depression. Astoria’s father had contacted Hogwarts and asked that Astoria would be sent home so that she could travel to France to be with her grandmother. Her grandmother ended up passing away and Astoria resided in France for a long period of time. I'd like to change Aurora's name to Aurora Henderson, since her parents are getting a divorce, and Aurora is taking her mother's maiden name, as decided by her mother. As for the location change, I'd like it to be changed to Wentwood, Wales, since the family will stay there with Aurora's paternal grandparents during the transition. Please let me know if I need to give more detail!
