i was absently scrolling though youtube... and ofc harry potter is a theme in the videos on my fyp - and one just came up; its talking about how everyone knew that the DADA professor spot was cursed - and Snape knew that. He didn't want the position because he liked the dark arts, he was looking for a way out of his deals with Dumbledore and possibly Voldemort as well. This shows how little he valued his life, and how bad he wanted out of his dealing with these very powerful men
