I did not pick a special race for Logan because I did not see it fitting into her story, even if I got to pick one for her I would not.

Nancy did not become a special race because I was actually too lazy to write out the application at the time, so she became a duck animagus instead. I was going to have her be a werewolf then decided it was too much work and decided the crazy plant lady was fine without having a special race. If I were to choose a special race or talent for her now, I would choose either Werewolf or Seer because I can see myself working those into her story in some way.

I'm not too familiar with ww lore, but seer is pretty awesome in the later years. I think all races/talents don't do much in first years.

Why did you pick or not pick a special talent/race and which one would you pick if you got to pick one now?

I did it to expand Pandora's story even more. The reason why she is a Dhampir is that her grandmother is a Vampire, so her maternal side opens up even more. I guess that's why I didn't want it to be Meto

I haven't picked one yet because I would like to be an animagus when I get to 5th year.

It was not a new thing (as special talents and special races have never been allowed to pick animagus) but it wasn't put in an easy to access place for newcomers to see at the time. As in I was not made aware that by choosing this I wouldn't be able to choose animagus later on. As Parselmouth is listed as a special talent not a race. All Animagus said back then was you must be full human, which you are, as Parselmouth is not a race. So for people who are new to the site and can't find the specific place where it states that Parselmouth counts as not being able to select Animagus, even though it isn't a race, they would assume they can still select Animagus later on.

After all, in the special abilities application, it was not said at the time that special talents also made it impossible to select Animagus later. Now in the present time they added a disclaimer saying 'special talents such as parselmouth' and 'special races' are not allowed to select Animagus later on. Instead of it just saying Animagus requires you to be full human. I have to admit when I first joined the site for the first 3 months it was really daunting for me and overwhelming as there was so much to the site and I didn't know where to find most things and was confused. But over time I became a veteran and now know how to find 95% of all things I search for!

I still keep forgetting where the General Absences page is listed and where the information on dueling is listed and where the IC thread sharing is and the deactivations threads are located...
