I'm in the first year class of 2025/2026, and a little confused, what or where I should post over the summer (or if I'll need to wait until September? in which case I may be curious if I can change my registration to be a current first year), or if I should wait to register with the index, etc.

I'm also a little confused on the constraints of the world & if I have a question about the world where I should ask to get that answered -- do electronics work in Hogwarts? how isolated is the pure blood world? if I make up my own answers to these questions in a role play, is that a problem?

And random question, but Lydia has an older brother -- I'd appreciate tips on how whether I'm allowed to mention him as a older student who may be around, or if I need to explain that he's not at Hogwarts.

(For example, you want to learn more about NPCs, find the registration process confusing, want to find socialization opportunities, etc.) I want to know more about how this site works, specifically regarding roleplaying, as well as about posting and how to interact with others and the storyline.

Also, regarding personal lore, to what extend can I develop it within the world/at Hogwarts/interweave it with RPing? Can I create characters that I mention (for example cousins) who also go to the school, but aren't registered as part of the site? Can I solo-post character developments where I learn about family/personal things/problems/histories/facts?
