Like they said, it really depends on what you are doing. I have had threads that were in one place and then in a different place right after. I will link them saying "continuation from [link] topic." But if it is "I walked around the school and saw lots of things," saying that in every forum area would be crazy and excessive. Can you explain what you are up to. Overall we trust people to be somewhat reasonable.

You'd sign up for special abilities in the exact same place you apply for an iNPC. If you already have one, you can go ahead and just post your application. If you are applying for an iNPC, you can attach the application for the ability onto the iNPC application.

I think I may have seen the answer to this before though I am unsure, currently, I am writing a solo backdated threat in which my character is being homeschooled and meets some relatives for important character development. I will try to make the interactions with the 'relatives' short and vague, but I was wondering if there is a limit as to how much a npc can act? Especially since it's a solo thread?

Nevermind everyone! I found out the rules for a npc

Quick question: do you have to be in the index to create an iNPC? I don't mean to rush the staff or anything, it's just I'd prefer to create my iNPC before the arrival thread starts, so if I don't have to wait to be indexed I'd go ahead and do it now. If not, I'd just wait, but I just wanted to know!

Only the first post and the trunk should be in the iNPC ency. You can add threads and relationships to that first post though, if you want to.

You do not have to be indexed to apply for an iNPC. However to participate in events (like the ball) you will need to registered with Index.
