What needs do you specifically have? (For example you want to learn more about NPCs, find the registration process confusing, want to find socialization opportunities, etc.)
I really hope to get a better grasp of how RP works and navigating this site and the various opportunities it provides. The amount of text I've been reading since registration has been a bit overwhelming, and I want to make the most of my first RP experience (perhaps one of my most emotionally attached).
My current goal is that I'd like to have an immersive experience here as a student. I'm not the most athletic or strategic, so I tend to shy away from sports or combat...perhaps that'll change, perhaps not? I had thought to read everything and plan before making any moves, but as time flew by, I thought I'd take a more active approach rather than hindering due to fear that it won't be "perfect" (it is, after all, part of the journey).
In my experience, I have played 2 DND campaigns with my friends (one of them using a modified version of my avatar, or a draft if you will?) and a few Jubensha (live-action role-playing) games. Overall, I don't have a lot of experience RPing nor as a writer.
P.S. Would it be preferable (if it isn't too much to ask) for my mentor to also be from Slytherin? In my mind a mentor from the same house made more sense? (i.e. house values, access to common room, threads, etc.) But who am I to know, for I am just a fledgling.
