Born in Ayutthaya, Thailand, Kasem spent his early life without any knowledge of magic. His parents were muggles, namely an engineer and a textile designer, who would likely blame the slight show of his magic on anything but exactly what it was.
It was when his first show of magic appeared, and soon afterwards, when a junior dukun arrived, that things started to make more sense than before, somehow. Upon arriving at the Isle of Divination, Kasem was placed in a clan of fifteen other children. For a boy raised by muggles, this was truly his first taste of magic, for the lack of a better word. What followed were the years where he, alongside his fellow pewari, followed in the dukun’s teachings of standard subjects, one of which caught his attention in particular. Transfiguration.
While the subject was difficult enough that it didn’t matter whether pure blood or muggleborn, all seemed to have the same level of knowledge over it at the time, Kasem found himself almost obsessed with it (whether for better or worse).
Growing up being someone with a foot in each world, almost, he had taken a liking towards Muggle physics as well. Though that was hardly the point at Tenusa, yes, in later years, during holidays, he would often make use of whatever books his father had, browsing or skimming through them at times, and properly studying when he found some interesting subjects - making correlations. Whether that got him any advantage or not is unlikely. He was merely doing this as a side quest, a hobby to call it bluntly.
After finishing his studies at Tenusa, he went on to focus mostly on the subject of his choice, a path that eventually, one way or another, led him to the UK. The affinity towards teaching was something a bit less expected, though he found it challenging, and intriguing enough to the point that the decision to apply for such a job came as a no-brainer.

Kasem was around 7 when something outside of the realm of “normal” happened. He was sitting by his mother’s side while she struggled to thread a needle with a particularly frayed piece of thick silk thread. She had tried a dozen times. Kasem reached out in an attempt to help her (not that he knew any better, but as a filial son, he did his best). Instead of the thread going through the needle as it should have (or rather, much failing to do so yet again), with Kasem being quite clumsy, he managed to poke himself on the needle, obviously startling and moving his hand back instinctively. Almost at the same time as his reaction, the thread seemed to disappear with a bit of smoke, as if it were set on fire. That, though, at least by his mother’s accounts, was not possible. No explanation, logical or based on laws of nature, even, could explain it; things only clicked once the junior dukun showed up.

In Carlisle, England, a baby girl was born to Mr. Orion Summerfield and Mrs. Elsie Summerfield. The baby girl was named Evelyn. Unbeknownst to the doctors and nurses who helped deliver her, that child would grow up to be an outstanding witch.
Evelyn Summerfield was the pride and joy of Mr. and Mrs. Summerfield. They never had another child, so they poured all of their love (and money) into their beloved baby girl. Evelyn grew up quite spoiled because of this, and it was no secret. And she never really learned basic life skills such as cooking thanks to Father’s magic. They lived luxuriously in a large Victorian styled home with their dog, Sunny, and the other lost animals Orion would bring home to care for before releasing them back into the wild.
Orion Summerfield was a wizard. He graduated from Hogwarts, class of 2006. He worked as a magizoologist, which explains all of the animals he brought home.
Elsie Summerfield was the muggle and breadwinner of the family. She is a psychiatrist and pays most of the bills.
Even though her father came from a long line of Purebloods, Evelyn never really saw magic outside of her father. Orion never had a good relationship with his parents. He was a Hufflepuff in a family of Slytherin’s. He was an outsider. And once he married a muggle and had a child with her, his parents were quick to stop inviting him to family gatherings. Starting a family with a muggle was one of the worst things you could do in their eyes. Orion was afraid his parents would try to harm his wife and child, so he never tried to reach out. Because of this, Evelyn grew up more in touch with the muggle world.
Evelyn went to school at a private academy called Parkside Academy. There, Evelyn was quite popular. She was quite literally friends with her entire class. At least, that’s what she thought.
However, Evelyn never got the best grades. With the rise of computers in schools, Evelyn barely got paper assignments. And without paper assignments, she could never do her work. Her computers would always crash and blow up. And as she got older and her magic got more powerful, the computers around her would crash as well. She attended school there until she got her Hogwarts Acceptance letter.

Evelyn was 7 years old during her first Magic Encounter. And unfortunately for her parents, Evelyn also happened to be in school. She was going through a phase where she questioned everything. And she decided to “pick a fight”as her principal described with her teacher.
Her teacher started to scold her, as usual. Evelyn was quite upset at this. She thought her questions were very valid, thank you very much! But when she went to sit back down at her desk, the chair suddenly moved under her, just enough to cause her teacher to fall to the ground.

Reason for Pending:
- 1. Encyclopedia: Your backstory in your encyclopedia is not matching the one in the application. In all fairness, you are only really missing this part: "In Carlisle, England, a baby girl was born to Mr. Orion Summerfield and Mrs. Elsie Summerfield. The baby girl was named Evelyn. Unbeknownst to the doctors and nurses who helped deliver her, that child would grow up to be an outstanding witch." But please do add it, as it needs to be identical at the time of indexing.
- 2. FIOM: In your validation area, you implied the teacher fell because the chair was moved from under her. In your encyclopedia and your application here that detail is a bit muddled. For clarity reasons please clarify it and make sure it matches both in your encyclopedia and here in your application.

ReducioBriar was raised in a wealthy pure blood household who kept their status secret until Briar came of age. It was a pleasant surprise when they found out about Briar’s letter to Hogwarts. Her parents were Aurors, but as a cover, they told everyone they were doctors.
She was always loved by her teachers, a bright and mysterious child. She was always surrounded by a group of friends, and was quite an extrovert. She had a good social and academic life.
She was raised in London, a big city, but not big enough for all her dreams and aspirations. She was born to Vivienne and Alan Anderson, alongside her sister Rose and her brother Axel. Vivienne and Alan met at Hogwarts in their sixth year. They both had a common goal- to become Aurors. They worked hard, and eventually achieved it. After that, they settled in a mansion. Even though they were rich, they were known for being humble and kind, always ready to help anyone in need.
After four years of getting married, Alan and Vivienne, Axel. Axel was the complete opposite of Rose, extremely mischievous. Wherever there was chaos, there was Axel. One year later, they had their set of twins, Rose and Briar. Rose was very quiet, tall and dedicated to academics. She also shared her sister’s interest for music. Briar was a mix of both her siblings, often creating trouble, but staying dedicated and sincere in the field of academics.
Briar often used to be referred to as spoiled, but she was the exact opposite. She was introverted but kind at the same time.
First Instance of Magic:ReducioBriar’s FIOM was when she saw a child getting bullied at her school, back in third grade, when she was 8. Bullying was one of the many things she absolutely could not stand. She was going to intervene and she pushed the bully gently, but the bully’s hair caught on fire. She wasn’t entirely sure about what happened, but she told her parents, who smiled and told her she would understand when she was older.

I love wearing trending clothes, and because of the way I'm built, everything suits me. Brown hair is my original hair color, and my original eye color is also hazel.
I'm courageous, self aware and very confident, but I have a flaw... I'm too proud. Well I have limited it. I'm not the always happy and funny girl, but more like the brave calm one. I'm always up for a good competition. I love a good adventure. I'm the kind who will risk all for my loved ones. I'm not a big friend group like but more of the close friend one.
My life before Hogwarts was wonderful. My mother is a pure-blood and my father is a muggle-born. Since dad is a muggle born, he also wanted me to experience life like a muggle. So that's why I went to a muggle school. I don't have any siblings. I had a good friend in school but we could never actually bond since I couldn't visit anyone's house or call anyone to mine. At home, mum got me a toy broomstick. Dad got me a scooter ( which I think is a muggle thing ).
When I was about 8, I had a badminton match. I was focusing hard on my game, this time I got it. I went to the right side, towards the place my adversary had hit the shuttlecock, but something happened in that moment. As I was about to hit it back my racquet just flew away from my hands like if an invisible hand had took it from me at the last minute. My mum and dad were so proud! That was my first accidental incident.
That is my whole story before Hogwarts! I'm so so so glad that I got my letter! Now I can become great myself!

Dakota comes from an aristocratic pure-blood family and has never wanted for anything. The grand family manor is nestled in the heart of the forest, not far from the shores of the Celtic Sea. She made the most of having access to their private beach throughout her childhood, and she loves swimming and surfing. Her parents were not often present, always busy with work, yet they were loving and attentive to the well-being of their seven children. Dakota, in fact, is only the fifth to be born in the sprawling family estate, after her four older brothers. As the only girl among her siblings, she has adapted remarkably well and knows how to command respect, her strong-willed nature undoubtedly helping.
First Instance of Magic:

Dakota experienced her first display of magic at the age of seven. It was Christmas Eve, and everything promised to be a day to remember. Their home glittered with a thousand lights, and Frances, their housekeeper and governess, was overwhelmed with activity. The little blonde girl had spent the morning playing Quidditch with her brothers in the vast garden, but when they returned for the meal, their father, Jayden, awaited them, his expression grave. He told them that their mother, Freya, had gone to rest at her sister’s and would not be spending Christmas with them. Dakota clenched her small fists, tears welling in her eyes. Suddenly, the flames of the candles scattered throughout the house flared up wildly, growing taller and taller until they set the curtains alight. With masterful ease, Jayden, extinguished the budding fires, then approached Dakota, who had collapsed to the floor, and gathered her into his arms.

Remy was born July 3rd 2014 to a woman named Wrogan. He lived with her for as long as he could remember, from the moment of birth to the moment he got the letter to Hogwarts. Remy specifically was not exposed very intricately to his father’s presence, all he knew was that his father pretty much had a one night stand and just abandoned his mother, abandoned his child. Now, he also knew that his mother made it known to his father that he had a child, but still, even then his own father didn’t really want to interface with him.
It always confused Remy. It started driving him nuts. Not insane, but just annoyed that he existed and that a certain parent didn’t really want to care much about him. While he was growing up, he was taught basic English and the bare basics of math and other subjects by his own mother, who seemed to be smarter than he was.
His life wasn’t really that special. He lived a very simple childhood. He played with other kids his age, he was in the outdoors a lot, and he knew how to grow his own food and act as if he were a homesteader in (american) pioneer life, along with his mother, being able to grow crops, can food and raise and butcher livestock. No, they didn’t live on a farm, but the community he lived with had to have some way of surviving without being barbaric in any way.
This was just normal for him. Even farm children are capable of doing things that city kids struggle doing until later in their lives if they manage to put forth the effort into doing so. Remy was kind of like a farm kid, but he was neither one who lived on a farm nor one that lived in the city. He just had the knowledge. It was baked into him as he grew up.
When he turned 10, he received a letter from his father that simply stated that he apologized for not being there as he grew up, but he couldn’t take on any children as it would be much too heartbreaking for his very wonderful wife that he had cheated on. And inside was a vault number, not that Remy recognized it, but he would find that he had the money in the vault for what he would need for Hogwarts if he ever happened to display his first instance of magic, and only within a few weeks, that was very true. He had displayed this first instance of accidental magic.
He would show the letter to his mother after reading it and only within a few months would they go to Diagon Alley.
First Instance of Magic:
Remy was just out playing with the others in his community when he got tired of being shoved around and picked on and it pushed him to the point where he just... snapped. He yelled out a slew of profanity their way and while he was doing so, while he was raging, one of the white sheep's wool turned fire red, and of course, he didn't notice it.
He was too blind. Blind to the rage.
But this was his first instance of accidental magic, fuel by anger. Pent up rage. And he just had to let it out.

Back in 2014, he was born to a full blooded Giant from the Scottish Highlands, around Durness. His father was a human, as was his other half brothers he would later find out that he had (Buck Break and Elmo Break).
His father had a brief affair with his mom, Wrogan, before returning to his wife and that left Wrogan to raise her son alone among the giant community near Drness. He was a half giant, and his mother’s son. He grew up in a community ruled by a Gurg, and the community itself consisted of roughly 20 giants that lived in cramped mountain caves. They lived in the cave called Smoo Cave.
He often slept near his mother, feeling that her protection was enough, even if the giant that watched for danger at night was already there for their safety. But besides that simple concept of a Giant community, he lived in a place where the traditional giant behavior would be highlighted- the physical dominance and menacingness. There were kind giants, of course, but the ones that Remy would interface with were not exactly as kindhearted.
He felt that strength was maybe the prime characteristics that his community would respect, more that than anything else, any other qualities.
From birth, his own life was developed around these giants, and his mother pretty much defended their place in the caves until he was old enough to fight for himself and taught him the survival through instinct rather than through affection. What this eventually grew into was resentment and despise.
Giants are known for their short temper and impatience, well, that’s exactly what Remy is! He has a short temper and is very impatient. He wants things done now, he wants the world to revolve around him so he can command the situation. That is Remy.
He learned early, in his childhood specifically, that to be kind was to display weakness and would allow people to take advantage of you. He was also taught that acknowledgement also only came through force. His mother may have been a smart giant, but she had, like Remy, a resentment towards the man she slept with, and it only fueled her narcissistic view on life.
Among the other children, he was smaller than them, and he often became their target. They mocked him and used him as a punching bag (practically), threw him into the air as they played a monkey in the middle type of game that involved throwing the smaller giant towards another giant in the air and the game would end when they touched the ground. It was a game that they invented, called In The Air, and from these moments in his life around these kids, his frustration and insecurity grew and fueled his loud and blunt, yet physical personality.
Now, Wrogan also educated him with basics of English but also taught him the words of the Giant tongue, and it was a language that he was grateful to have. WIthout either English or Giant, how else was he to communicate? It mostly sounded like gibberish or grunting either way, and at least thanks to his mother, he went through the basics of homeschool.
Later on, when he experienced his first instance of magic, he began being hit with other random bursts, smaller than the first, just fizzling away every so often, but not often enough that it is noticeable or that it would matter. He would later find out that he was not made to be an adept caster, no, he wasn’t like the wizards, he didn’t grow up with a focus on developing his intellect and concentration skills. He grew up with the idea of strength and dominance. He wouldn’t know how to contain or handle magic as well as others could, and later, he would see that he had a better chance of hurting himself if he tried to cast spells. Yet, he did notice that growing up, he was able to pack a punch that was greater than the normal individual, to leave a lingering mark, a dent, a hole in something that shouldn’t have a hole- like a tree.
His skin was also thicker than those who weren’t giants, and Remy didn’t really understand how that worked, but alas, biology was hard to understand as a Giant who only understood the bareboned basics of elementary-tier topics.
His mother was not gentle as he grew up, being blunt and controlling, but she made Remy the way he was today.

Character Backstory:

For papertrail, this is the original backstory. It doesn't fit Remy's part giant bio nor reflect what life was like for him during that time, but for papertrail, this is the original I passed Validations with.
Remy, at the age of 9 in Dundee in the yard of their family manor just left the house with a high degree of anger in his body and mind from an argument with his dad that he was actively losing in regards to letting him go to a Twisted Wizards concert and it was ticking him off to the point of no return. Sure, later he was going to cool off, but he needed to go mutter about it and continue his frustrations as he vents to the wind.

NOTE: This is the original in the reducio! I changed it to fit the part giant backstory. Because this fiom doesn't fit with what I wrote for his part giant half.

Remy note, updated Dundee to Durness.STATUS: Pending, Santiago, 06/05/2026
Reasons for pending:
- Large giant communities would typically be forced to live remote in the mountains, away from civilization. Could you clarify how this community was able to remain near Dundee without drawing attention or interference?

Character Backstory:
Blair was born into a highly rich and well known French Muggle family. The Du Pont's were known for their legacy of fame and power in the whole of Paris. The women in the family were always famous models or fashion designers, while the men were always C.E.O's or mob bosses. Blair is no different. Her mother was a famous model, and her father was the C.E.O. of a well known and used tech brand. Blair was their best gift, so they spoiled her to the bone. She got everything she wanted whenever she wanted. She was spoiled badly. She also got lots of private lessons from her father. Singing, ballet, self defense, ice skating, and a lot more. When Blair turned 4, her and her parents moved to England so her mother could continue her modelling career.
Blair also got spoiled a lot by her grandparents. Almost every legacy item was passed on to Blair. She kept all of them neatly. Her grandfather would give her gifts, trips, and sweets. Blair got everything she wanted. But because of this, Blair also became really bratty. Always demanding things, but they still complied, spoiling her further. As she grew older, she developed a narcissistic and passive aggressive persona. She was still kind, but if you some how made it in to her bad books, she'd act kind and sweet to you, but behind her sweet innocent smile, she would destroy your reputation from the inside out, and nobody ever doubted her rumors because of her family's high status
First Instance of Magic: At 7, Blair had just come back from school on a rainy day and she didn’t like the fact it was raining because she wanted to go out shopping but because of the rain her parents didn’t let her. So she was frustrated and started throwing her tantrum but then suddenly lightning struck once and the rain subsided

Reducio
Blair is a Muggle, yes, as both her parents are Muggles, but her great-great-grandmother was actually a witch, and not just any witch; she spoke Parseltongue. From when she could point, she has loved anything with snake-like patterns. Snake skin bags, coats, phone cases. She had all of them. Even when she took painting classes, all her pieces were paintings of reptiles, particularly snakes. Her love for the reptile did not go unnoticed by her parents, and they began to spoil her with anything that had the pattern of such. They gave her snake-skin bags, coats
Her obsession wasn’t just an aesthetic choice; it was a pull toward her legacy of parselmouths. While other girls her age had a love for flowers and hearts. Blair loved the style and fashion of snakes; she felt a sense of wonder and admiration for the creature. She didn’t even know why she loved the reptile so much; she just felt a strong connection to it. Like she couldn’t breathe without it. Unknown to Blair, she had inherited the gift of being able to speak Parseltongue from her great-great-grandmother. Her great-great-grandmother was a woman whose name was whispered with fear amongst the members of the Du Pont family. For a long time, the ability of parseltongue had skipped over generations; her great-grandmother, her current grandmother, even her mom and aunties. But finally, the ability manifested itself in Blair.
Blair finally awakened this ability on her birthday when her parents finally took her to the zoo after years of begging. As soon as they arrived, she rushed to the reptile enclosure. Immediately captivated by the animals, especially the snakes. As she walked and walked, looking at the snakes, one particular snake caught her attention. It was an anaconda that was resting peacefully. She stared at it with awe, admiring as it slithered around its enclosure. On the other end of the enclosure was a boy with a bunch of his schoolmates making silly faces and tapping the glass. She side-eyed them, finding their noise very annoying. She sighed and turned back to look at the snake. Then she heard an old, raspy voice complain about the noise the boys were making. It was coming from the snake! She was shocked and looked at the snake, but like clock work, she responded with a yeah, they are. She turned back to the boys, but they were looking at her like she was a freak.
What had happened was that to Blair, she was speaking completely normally, but to the boys, she was speaking in hissing noises. Her parents had been nearby and had heard her speaking in the hissing sounds, and had begun to think Blair had gone mad because of her obsession with the animal. So they dragged Blair out of the zoo, and she whined and complained all the way home. When they finally arrived home, her parents took all of her snake-patterned clothes and items and stashed them away, and because Blair was so spoiled, she whined and cried and cried. Her parents finally caved in and gave her back her stuff, but refused to buy her any other snake-related thing. But in secret, Blair would doodle and write about the voice of the snake.
To her parents, she was just obsessed with the animal, but to Blair, it was a far deeper connection than that

- Please make sure the backstory in your application is present somewhere in your ency.
- If the family is French, why does Blair go to Hogwarts? Did they move to the UK? Her first instance of magic has to happen in the UK to be accepted into Hogwarts. Hogwarts students need a current UK residence as long as they are attending school as well.
- She cannot make money appear out of nothing. Please explain where the money came from or edit the first instance of magic. Please also list the age she experienced her first instance of magic.
- I'll submit a request for admin to change the name and nationality.
STATUS: Pending, Ruckus, May 7
- The money is still appearing out of nowhere (magic cannot create money). For example, even if Blair doesn't know this, her parents could notice that the money was missing from their wallets or safe.

ReducioRyder grew up in a house that never felt like home. His parents were usually not there and when they WERE, the house was filled with shouting instead of warmth a family should bring.
The house elves practically raised him. Though they took care of him, it could never be equal to a parents love.
So, Ryder spent most of his times outside as to avoid these problems and learn to face the world himself.
Ryder has a place where he can call home, more than real home, and that is at the Tomlinson Manor. The kids over there are his cousins and they for now, are the best part of his life.
Maddy, Benny and Louis. All of them.
They made his life somewhat interesting and the only time he would smile would be when he would go over to them.
Their mother (his aunt) is his fathers sister, but she is in no way, character, or behavior like his father. She is a bright and happy woman, while his father.....Well, quite the opposite.
Ryder is the only kid in his household, and it gets lonely and depressing sometimes, but he has grown to love this silence. That is why he is really awkward when it comes to real people and can come off mean and rude sometimes when he is just really straightforward and blunt.
First Instance of Magic:
ReducioDuring atime in his house, his parents were both home and they were having yet another argument. Ryder was very frusutrated and at that time the glasses on the kitchen counter all shattered. His parents stopped their argument to look at him and then left without saying anything.
But Ryder celebrated except for feeling disappointed, he was used to this by now and he was unbothered, rather he celebrated finally showing some signs of magic. He was exactly 8 yr and 2 months old at the time.STATUS: Pending, Lawrence, 8th December

Backstory
Ian Han was born in London, England, into a quiet but well-established pure-blood wizarding family with deep roots stretching between Britain and Korea. The Han family was known not for fame, but for intelligence, discipline, and an unusual sensitivity to magic that often appeared in subtle, controlled ways.
From a young age, Ian stood out—taller than most children his age, with tan skin and sharp, observant eyes. His hairstyle, slightly unconventional for wizarding children, framed his face with straight bangs reaching his eyebrows, while the back grew longer in a soft mullet. There was something calm yet intense about him, like he was always thinking two steps ahead.
He grew up in a comfortable home filled with books, enchanted study tools, and small magical artifacts designed to sharpen the mind. His parents strongly valued education and provided him with everything he needed to excel. Ian quickly became known as one of the smartest students in his class, often helping others understand difficult lessons. Despite this, he remained humble—protective of those who struggled and quietly supportive of his friends.
He had a particular fascination with creatures, especially reptiles. Snakes, lizards, and even the fearsome Komodo dragon captured his imagination. At home, his loyal dog was his constant companion, often sitting beside him while he studied or practiced small bits of accidental magic.
Though naturally kind and thoughtful, Ian carried a hidden intensity. He could become angry when pushed too far, but even then, he tried to restrain himself, choosing calm over chaos whenever possible.
However, one incident hinted that his magic might not always stay controlled.
On March 7th, when Ian was just seven years old, he was quietly drawing in his room—completely focused, as he often was. His younger sister burst in, full of energy, demanding that he play with her. Ian politely refused, wanting to finish his work. But she persisted, teasing him, and eventually threatened to destroy his drawing.
Something inside Ian snapped.
In a sudden, silent surge of magic, the bow in his sister’s hair burst apart—transforming into a harmless explosion of pink glitter that showered down around her. The room fell completely still.
Ian didn’t say anything. Neither did his sister.
It was the first clear sign that his magic wasn’t just strong—it was reactive, precise, and deeply tied to his emotions.
After that day, his parents watched him more closely, quietly encouraging control and discipline. They recognized something rare in him: a wizard with both power and restraint.
When Ian received his Hogwarts letter, it came as no surprise. Upon arriving, the Sorting Hat placed him in Hufflepuff—not just for his kindness and loyalty, but for his strong sense of fairness and his willingness to stand up for others.

From a middle-to-low income family. His parents were loving but worked all day, every day, so G. learned to be independent from a very young age. He picked up skateboarding at 6, mostly for transportation since his parents usually weren't around to give rides. Eventually, he found a small community of like-minded kids who also skateboarded, and spent a lot of time with them learning to craft and express themselves through the art of skateboarding.
G.’s not a bad kid. But sometimes his mischief, combined with his inability to back down in the face of arrogance, can create bigger problems, sometimes expensive ones.
You see G. and his crew discovered an abandoned warehouse and found a way to sneak inside. They brought in some old dusty chairs, some ramps and rails, and even a stereo to play tunes while hanging out. It was perfect; they could lounge, hang out, shoot the breeze, and even skate and work on tricks in the abundance of open space in the warehouse. It was a sanctuary, it was their home.
Unfortunately, the warehouse wasn’t actually abandoned, just unused. It was actually owned by a merchant, who called the cops on them after noticing them sneaking in one day.
G. is normally not the type to lash out at others. Although losing their hideout sucked, G. could have let that go. Except that the merchant was an arse. He made up lies about property inside the warehouse getting damaged that simply wasn’t true, just to get him and his friends into more trouble. G. and his friends were not about to let that slide. They thrashed his car, busted out the windows, slashed his tires, and dented it up good. They were caught on camera, and the boys' identities were revealed. The merchant pressed charges on the boys, demanded restitution for the damage, and G’s parents were held financially responsible. Court fees plus the repair damages were more than G’s parents could afford, and they began to struggle to pay rent and bills. G., feeling remorse for his actions, feels responsible for the money and wants to pay it all back, removing the burden on his parents. Although a bit distrustful of his newly discovered magical power, he wonders if it could help him help his parents, and is eager to learn what he can about it at Hogwarts.

At the age of 10, G. was returning home after a day of skating with his friends when he was jumped by a rival gang of skaters. After promptly mouthing off to them (as was his habit), he was cornered in a back alley with nowhere to run. Being an 8-on-1 fight, he had a near-zero chance of defending himself physically. Then, by some unexplainable internal force, a wave of energy was emitted from his body, physically knocking the other kids several feet away, allowing G. to escape while the rival gang sat on the ground in awe, trying to figure out what had just happened.
