- Emma's blood status is pureblood, but she has a muggle friend, Layla. Layla wouldn't yet know she was a witch, and Emma wouldn't be able to meet her. Usually, pureblood families stay completely away from muggles. Please remove references to Layla, or make it clear that Emma met Layla at Hogwarts.
- You want to change Emma's nationality to American. Why? Were her parents born in the US? When and why did the move to London? They would need to move before Emma's first instance of magic.
- Emma would also not go to a normal school. Please choose one of the options available for magical families: viewtopic.php?t=36476

Character name (First and last name): Ethan Young
School Year or Adult Level: First year
I am a Metamorphmagus
Link to the character page: viewtopic.php?p=1545661&hilit=Ethan+L+Young#p1545661
Character Statistics: Your stat total should be 35 if fully human, 30 if you have a special ability/race.
Character Special Race/Talent: Metamorphmagus
My father was a metamorphagus, and so were most of his pureblood family, with a few exceptions. This trait ran deep in his family, similar to traits like dark eyes or a strong jaw in other families. However, this ability was much less visible and more dangerous to reveal. His grandmother was known as one of the most talented metamorphagi of her time. She could change not just her face but her entire body in seconds. His father, my grandfather, had a limited version of the ability that mostly affected his hair and eye color. My father's skills fell somewhere between the two. He could blend into a crowd if he wanted, but it didn’t come effortlessly. I first showed this ability at birth when my hair changed from bright white to a dirty blonde. My mother said it happened in minutes, with the color slowly washing down from the roots, as if someone were painting it strand by strand. The healers in the room exchanged glances but stayed silent. This wasn’t something people openly discussed, even if they noticed. As I grew, my power got a bit stronger, but I still struggled to control it. It reacted more to emotion than to intent. This made things inconvenient at times and embarrassing at others. I would grow spiky mustaches when I was seriously surprised, coarse dark bristles that showed up out of nowhere and disappeared just as quickly once the shock faded. My nose sometimes inflated to silly sizes when I laughed too hard, which made everyone around me laugh more, making my nose grow even bigger. There were other things too. My ears would stretch slightly when I focused. My hair darkened to almost black when I was angry. Once, during an argument I would rather forget, my face changed just enough that a friend I had known for years looked at me like I was a stranger. That moment made me understand why my father kept this ability hidden. He hides it because he worries someone might attack him because of it. Not necessarily out of hatred, but from fear or ambition. A person who can change their face is often viewed as untrustworthy, and trust is essential for safety. Someone with bad intentions might try to manipulate him or force him to become someone else for their benefit. A fearful person might simply want him gone. This fear might be irrational, but it still affected him, and fear often seems reasonable when you’re the one feeling it. He had little reason to share this secret. His life was quiet, and he wanted it that way. He chose simplicity over exposure and familiarity over adventure. The people close to him already knew, and the rest didn’t need to. Keeping this secret felt so natural over the years that it became part of living rather than hiding. Ethan may not be the bravest, but he is smart and cautious, and he knows that the best way to make a difference is being alive to make one.
Character Backstory: Ethan was born a metamorphagus. He is the son of Jeras Ban who worked in the Department of magical law enforcement and was also a metamorphagus, and Kirona Young,. His parents decided to name him using his mothers surname. He was first born with white hair, but it changed to become his usual blonde. He had a reasonably happy childhood, until his father died to a Muggle born by the name of Viliek Nevolin when Ethan was 3. This sparked in his mother a hate for Muggle Borns that would fill her forever. While Ethan was also devastated, he put it into the intellectual pursuits his father had always loved. He became a extremely bright boy, and found loves for dragons, reading, and writing. He rejected his Mother's views on blood purity and found that he rather liked not listening to her. He developed some muggle habits, such as excessive sarcasm. My mom once tried to stop me from being so pro muggle leaning by taking my muggle stuff. But as they tried to, their clothes turned into muggle clothes! That was my FIOM. They got really mad and told me they were never going to buy me a owl when I get to hogwarts because of it. When I got my exceptance letter my mom told me I had to go to diagon alley with her so she could make sure I don't become friends with muggleborns. When I went I became friends with Zio Richardson, and Anirudh Yellepeddi Oh and I met Anirudh at diagon alley (Florence and Botts) we bonded over our love of books and quidditch. The first question my mom asked him was if he was pure blood. He wasn't, (He was a Half-Blood) but I am nice and did not care anyway, so we became best friends. His name is Anirudh Yellepeddi. Zio is a kid I met in quality quidditch supplies.
I really want to become a dragon scholar, because I am a fan of dragons, but would also like to be a quidditch player or a professer.

Character Statistics: Stamina ◦ 6; Evasion ◦ 5; Strength ◦ 6; Wisdom ◦ 7; Arcane Power ◦ 5; Accuracy ◦ 6
Character Special Race/Talent: No. Staying Human.
Character Backstory: Esmeralda was born in Queensbury, England to Elowyn Hernandez and Damier Larson. She grew up in a small house by the sea and the one thing she liked about her home the most were that the windows were always open when the weather was fine and the shelves that were loaden with so many books that sometimes they weren't strong enough and her father would have to fix them up again. Damier Larson, her father(wizard-born), is the kindest soul in her eyes. She admires his rationality and always strives to be like him. Elowyn Hernandez, her mother(muggle born), on the other hand, is a social butterfly who loves to give pep-talk to anyone who'd even remotely ask her. In her town, her family owns a small bakery shop. Her mother, works tirelessly to keep the shop running while Damier works as an Auror.
She's always preferred her inner world over the external one as she thought she could create and destroy whatever she desires in her own little world. Ever since Esmeralda was a child, she absolutely adored all kinds of animals and magical creatures. That's probably one of the reasons why she's so loyal to her loved ones. Even tho she's always been a little reserved, her eyes always expressed the wonder she felt whenever she came across Dark Magic - whether it was the books or her father's stories and encounters.
First Instance of Magic: On Esmeralda's 6th birthday, a small kitten had climbed the tree in her family's backyard and didn't seem to get back down on her own. Before her father could even lift his wand, a wind so powerful it bent the branch of the tree started blowing. She didn't immediately realize it, but that had been her doing. Her very first instance with magic. That day, they didn't only celebrate her birthday, but also the first day of her life as a witch.

Character Name (First and Last): Mollie Henry
School Year or Adult Level: First Year (Gryffindor)
Link to Character Page: viewtopic.php?p=1571313#p1571313
Character Stats: Stamina 6| Evasion 7| Strength 6| Wisdom 5| ArcPower 6| Accuracy 5|
Character Special Race: No, staying human
Character Backstory:
Personality:
Mollie's quiet confidence often gets mistaken for shyness, but in reality she's just calculating. She spends her time reading, constantly eager to learn new things. Back at home, she kept a small circle of close friends, always choosing them over big social circles.
Backstory: Mollie was born in Goteborg, Sweden, to Isabelle Ekstrom and Theodore Henry. Her family moved to London, England when she was just three years old. Mollie's family moved to England because they wanted Mollie to attend Hogwarts, and have more opportunities. While in London, Mollie's parents had two more children; Freya and Corrine. Mollie was always close to her family, even distant relatives back home in Sweden. Even though Mollie desperately missed Sweden, she began to fall in love with the beauty of London.
Mollie had always loved singing and dancing, and practically all of the creative arts. Mollie started to dance when she was four years old, and had loved it ever since. Along with all of Mollie's dancing, she enjoyed singing as well. Her parents had put her in voice lessons when she was eight, and Mollie had begun singing in her church's choir.
Often, Mollie missed her friends in Sweden, but her parents encouraged her to send letters to them. Mollie had been writing to one of her friends for three years, learning new things about each other that they didn't know before. All of her life, Mollie's parents informed her of how they went to Hogwarts and studied magic as well. They told her how she would experience magic one day, and Mollie was always eager for that moment to come.
First Instance of Magic: While Mollie, age nine, was getting errands done for her mom one day in a local corner shop, she was deciding between two kinds of biscuits when suddenly one of the boxes began floating off the shelf. In fact, it was the biscuit that Mollie was leaning more towards. She watched as it hovered over her shopping basket, and fell in with a thud. A few heads turned, and Mollie just smiled at them, hoping they hadn't noticed the levitating box of biscuits. She gave the shopkeeper two pounds for the biscuits and ran home, eager to tell her parents. When she told her parents about the floating biscuits, they were very excited for they young daughter, because they knew she would find happiness in her magical abilities and her time at Hogwarts.

- A FIOM cannot be intentional (ie. here, your character wants those biscuits and they start floating towards her) ! Accidental magic is unintentional and can happen for one of three reasons: it just happens, it happens in response to danger as an act of self-preservation, or it happens in response to a strong emotion. This event must be prior to age 11 and it must take place in Wales, England, Ireland, or Scotland. Please describe such an incident of accidental magic that happened to your character as well as their age when it happened. What emotion did they feel and how did they feel when it was happening? How did they feel after it happened? How did your character's parents react? Some examples of accidental magic are setting a hat on fire when angry, falling from a great height with no injuries, or randomly sneezing bubbles.

Does any Profile Card info need changing? Nationality should be Pakistani, I think. After looking up British citizenship rules, she wouldn't have been a British citizen until she turned ten even though she was born there. So nationality Pakistani.

Does any Profile Card info need changing? Nationality should be Pakistani, I think. After looking up British citizenship rules, she wouldn't have been a British citizen until she turned ten even though she was born there. So nationality Pakistani.

TJ was born to a couple of immigrants from Pakistan who immigrated when her dad travelled to London to get his masters in law. She still visits her family in Pakistan every summer, and though she is an only child, she has three much older cousins who treat her like a baby sister. Her dad is a lawyer in London, while her mom is a stay-at-home wife. Her parents care a lot about getting her a good education. TJ went to a private school and London as a child and had only one friend. Her name was Mara Fareed. Mara was what TJ considered her best friend, but they had only visited each other's homes once. So truly, TJ didn't have many friends. What she did have was a lot of other students asking her about what the homework answers were or to check if the book they were reading had a typo. School wasn't really her favorite thing, though. She didn't even have a favorite class, except maybe science. But science was kind of boring, too. The answers to all the questions on her lab paper were too obvious. What's the point in doing a lab that someone else has done before? Taj's favourite times were the ones where she was alone. But she was starting to feel like her introverted personality was leading to loneliness.

TJ was visiting her great uncle in Ireland at six years old, and she wanted to play chess. She didn't know the rules at all but she begged to play it with him. He sat in the basement with her, and as they played, his pieces started to disappear right in front of their eyes! They were both bewildered by the disappearing pieces that nobody had touched, but when all the pieces were gone, they reappeared just like that! Baffled, they never told anyone else.

Kiara was born in a small house on the edge of Little Whinging. Her Muggle parents never understood their daughter's oddities, but they never stopped loving her. For her, they were everything: a safe haven, the only people she trusted implicitly.
Even as a child, Kiara was different. She spoke little, observed too much, and had a habit of often getting lost in her thoughts, as if the real world didn't exist. Other children called her "weird," and over time that word became a truth she carried within her.
She had never had friends. No one to share secrets or laughter with. So she learned to fill that void on her own.
Her room was her world. Books everywhere: piled on the floor, hidden under the bed, lined up chaotically on the shelves. She read everything she could find, but she was particularly drawn to romance, fantasy, and historical stories. But there was a place, outside that room, where she felt less out of place: a forest.
Her favorite spot was on the shore of a small lake hidden among the trees. The water was dark, often still, and reflected the sky like a mirror broken only by the wind. There was an old tree there, with wide, low branches, perfect for sitting in the shade.
Kiara spent hours there... sometimes reading, other times simply listening to music. It was one of the few moments when she didn't feel judged or out of place.
But the first true manifestation of her magic came one evening.
It was late, and the house was immersed in that fragile silence that precedes sleep. Kiara was in her room, surrounded by her books, when a pungent smell began to creep into the air. At first, she didn't notice. Then came the crackling sound. When she stood up, the flames had already begun to devour part of the room: a short circuit. Breathing became difficult.
And then... something broke.
Not outside.
Inside.
The fear transformed into something deeper, more instinctive. A desperate need to survive, and then the flames went out. Suddenly. Without transition, without logic. As if someone had taken away their right to exist.
The silence that followed was unreal.
When her parents rushed over, alarmed by the noise and the smell, they found themselves faced with an impossible scene: clear signs of fire, blackened walls, burned objects, but no flame.
And Kiara. Unharmed. They searched for explanations, for words. But nothing made sense. And she couldn't give answers. She remained silent, her gaze lost, still trapped in that moment.
From that evening, something changed; she had learned to fear fire as something unpredictable, capable of taking away her control... or forcing her to use it.

The girl found herself in danger during a house fire caused by a short circuit. The flames spread rapidly throughout the room, and the smoke made it difficult for her to breathe. In panic and fear, magic manifested suddenly and uncontrollably: the flames suddenly went out, and an invisible force swung the door open, clearing the room of smoke.

ReducioIt had been a long day
Rosy entered the Slytherin and groaned loudly; the first years had been piled by homework. "It's not like we have to give our O.W.L.'s this year or anything," said Emma, her best friend. "Why are they pressurizing us so much?" "I don't know," replied Rosy, nonchalantly. "How will I ever finish 3 essays, 2 diagrams and practice 2 spells by today?" Emma complained.
But Rosy wasn't listening, her attention wandered away to the corner of the common room, where she saw a girl sobbing quietly in her robes. "Hold on a minute," she told Emma. "I'll be right back." She tiptoed over to the girl but when she saw Rosy, she dashed away and hid behind the sofa.
"It's OK," said Rosy. "You can come out." But the girl didn't budge from her place. Rosy slowly squeezed into the little space behind the sofa besides the girl. The girl looked up and moaned and let out a sob at the same time. "What do you want?" she asked miserably and Rosy suddenly got a feeling as if she had violated the girl's personal space. Regardless, she tried to make the girl feel better.
"Hey, there," she said weakly. "I'm Rosy, a first year. I was just doing my homework when I saw you here and I thought that there was something wrong and decided to come comfort you," she continued truthfully. "Why do you want to comfort me? I don't even know you," said the girl. "I don't know. I guess I just want everybody to be happy. Now come here and tell me about yourself and what's going on," said Rosy.
But the girl didn't move and started talking in a very quiet voice so Rosy had to lean in a bit to listen to her. "It's my grandma," she said. "She was very sick until a few days ago. She was admitted in the Muggle hospital until a week ago, when she was finally discharged and came home. The doctors said she was fully treated and fine. I was thrilled to hear the news."
"Well then there's nothing wrong, is there?" asked Rosy but the girl shook her head. "The doctors said she was fine, but she wasn't. A few days ago, sh-sh-she g-g-got a heart attack and she p-p-passed away." The girl began crying once more and Rosy felt bad for the girl, she loved her grandma a lot too and would hate to lose her.
"Well, I can understand your pain, but I'm sure your grandma must be watching over you from above and she wouldn't like it to see you were crying now, would she?" said Rosy. "N-n-no, sh-sh-she wouldn't," replied the girl. "Exactly well then come along, wipe your tears, and you didn't tell me your name?" "It's Cassandra," the girl replied.
"Great, then come on Cassandra, cheer up" said Rosy. Cassandra laughed slightly and said, "Thank you for comforting me, Rosy" and she walked away looking very happy.
But there was one thing Rosy couldn't understand. Until a minute ago, Cassandra was crying and now, she was laughing like ever before. Sure, Rosy had comforted her but how could she be so happy all of a sudden. "Mood swings, I guess?" she thought to herself as she returned to her desk to begin on her essay, not knowing that the real reason for Cassandra's sudden happiness was just her own presence
Character Backstory:
ReducioRosy's parents were both working muggles and she was an only child with no siblings, so most of the time, she was home alone. However, her cousins came to visit regularly, and she made a special sort of bond with them. She made a lot of friends but was very secretive and had a lot of fights with them. Though, she was rather popular, she only trusted a few of her closest friends. She was admitted into Saint Churchwell's School for Academic excellence at the age of 4. When she was just 6, she showed signs of being smarter than her fellow kindergarteners and was suggested to move up another grade, but her parents denied the offer, saying that she should be with kids her age and learn along with them. She was very popular among the school with many calling her "Frisbee" because she was so fun and unpredictable. She was a straight A's student which led to new people who didn't know her of thinking of her as a "nerd" while she was actually a very fun and lively kid as long as she was with friends. When she was alone, however, she was very quiet and relied entirely on Muggle technologies to keep her occupied. She has always had a gift for arts like music, painting and even dancing. She was what everyone would usually think as "perfect." She hated it when people underestimated her. She was rather emotional but could be dangerous at times when she was mad.
First Instance of Magic:
ReducioRosy's first accidental instance of magic happened at the age of 9, about 2 years before receiving her Hogwarts letter. She was at school when she found out that her English teacher was retiring and there would be a new teacher for them. Rosy and her friends were very excited to meet the new teacher. The teacher however was very rude towards Rosy and nice towards the rest of the class. Rosy sometimes felt as if the teacher was staring at her all the time just waiting for her to do something wrong and then point out her mistake. One day, Rosy was merely asking her friend for a pencil when the teacher called her out and told her to get out of the class. Rosy couldn't handle it anymore, so she shouted at the teacher rather rudely saying, "It's not fair, why do you always target me? Get a life!" Suddenly, all the windows in the classroom started shattering and pieces of glass went all over the classroom floor. Rosy slammed her homework onto the table and stormed out of the class with tears of anger coming out of her eyes.

On November 27th, 2013, a sweet baby girl was born to a pure-blood couple Edward and Grace Henselwood. Edward Henselwood worked as a journalist for the Daily Prophet and only went home once a week. Edward used to sleep in his office so he could catch up on new news the next day. Meanwhile, Grace Henselwood is a stay-at-home mom who writes and publishes story books as a hobby. Most of the books she publishes tell stories about Corra or contain messages for Corra as she grows up.
Little Corra was often sick and as a result, she often missed school. Because of this, Grace made Corra homeschooled. Corra is physically weak, so she rarely goes out and plays with her friends. Usually, her friends will come over to her house, but that only happens once every few weeks. To cure her boredom, Corra chose to read books. Over time, the books that had been her cure for boredom became a hobby. Seeing that her child liked reading books, Grace started writing story books for Corra to read.
Grace is the only child of a famous pure-blood couple. Sometimes Corra spends weekends at her grandparents' mansion. While staying at her grandparents' mansion, Corra was taught manners and etiquette, because for her grandparents, attitude was far more important than intelligence or strength. Unlike Grace's parents who are rich and famous, Edward's parents are pretty ordinary. when Corra doesn't spend the weekend at Grace's parents' mansion, Corra stays at Edward’s parents' house. The atmosphere felt very different, Edward's parents' house was much warmer and more lively because of the presence of his aunt, uncle and cousin who lived there. As much as Corra enjoys the weekend at Grace's parents' mansion, Corra also enjoys the weekend at Edward's parents' house. this is like the only chance for her to get out of the house and play.
At the age of 9, thanks to treatment from St. Mungo's Hospital and the support of her family, Corra was getting sick less often and was able to play outside like other children. A few days later, Grace and Edward asked Corra to exercise to make her physically stronger and stay healthy. Well... maybe "physically stronger" isn't the right word, because Corra's strength is very weak, but her stamina is quite a lot. For several months, Edward tried to exercise with Corra to strengthen her physique, but eventually gave up and focused on improving his daughter's stamina.
There aren't many things that can make Corra amazed, let alone show an emotion. Corra will just smile faintly all day long whether her aunt bought her a very beautiful dress or her cousin accidentally pushed Corra into a puddle. As far as her parents know, Corra only shows happy expressions when she gets her Hogwarts letter, and Corra shows emotions more often when she has a high fever.

Little Corra had a room filled with books from her father and books written by her mother, the books are arranged on a large bookshelf. My twin brother—who seemingly made it his life mission to burst through my door at the most inconvenient times—ensured our house always felt a few sizes too small. To maintain my sanity, I turned my bedroom into a creative fortress, a sanctuary where I could escape his constant disruptions.
I’m a person of quiet focus and deep immersion. I can spend an entire afternoon hunched over a sketchbook, lost in the fine lines of a drawing, or tucked away with a fantasy novel. There’s something about disappearing into a fictional realm or a digital game that makes the chaos of a shared house fade away. I suppose that’s why I’m so eager for Hogwarts; I’m looking for a bit more legroom and a lot more magic.
My background is a bit of a blend, as I’m part-Canadian and currently navigating the paperwork for my dual citizenship. It’s a connection to a much larger world that I hope to explore one day. While I have a logical mind for engineering and how things fit together, I’m mostly just looking forward to having a four-poster bed with curtains I can actually shut.
First Instance of Magic: At the age of 10, I was walking home from school, and I was chased by my brother's friends down a hill. I tripped, broke my ankle. I screamed and my brother's friends were blown away out of my sight.

She was born on the 6th of June, 2014, in London, into a family that stood between two worlds. Her father, a very stern Englishman from the 'Blackthorne' line, came from a really old pure blood family, with a bunch of strong traditions and expectations, while her mother, a half blooded sweet French lady, who'd grown up a bit in the Muggle world, brought a gentler and more open perspective into her life as she shared all sorts of stories with her daughter; from life beyond magic, to simple and ordinary moments.
As she grew up, Elara got to experience both warmth, and quiet pressure. Her home was very elegant, like those you'd see in those ancient victorian paintings, filled with books and tradition, which slightly forced her to behave in a.. certain way. despite all that, her parents cared for her deeply, and her mother, in particular, encouraged her kindness and fuelled her curiosity.
Although a very sweet individual, Elara only has a few friends, those only being the people she trusts deeply. She does have an okay bond with everyone, but has a very small circle of friends. She spent much of her time reading, writing, or exploring the quieter corners of her surroundings. Even though she was aware of her family's high expectations, she never fully felt aligned with their stricter thoughts, and often found herself drawn to empathy and understanding rather than status or pride.
When Elara received her letter to Hogwarts, she was beyond excited. She couldn't stop rambling about it to both her parents and her nanny. She'd heard about Hogwarts from her father, who'd attended it when he was younger. After hearing that his daughter was sorted into Ravenclaw, he was thrilled, as he was a Ravenclaw himself.

Her first instance of magic happened when she was only 7 years old, a literal child whose world revolved around cartoons and storybooks. She was reading a book in her room, upset and slightly frustrated as both her parents left for work, leaving the little girl at home with her nanny. Suddenly, without meaning her meaning, to, one of her books, which was on her table lifted into the air and floated slowly onto her lap. She gasped in surprise - utterly puzzled and a tad nervous, simply caught off guard by what happened.

- Your backstory states your character is born from a pureblooded wizard and a halfblood, and your profile states she is a halfblood. For this to work, we would need your character to have a clear muggle heritage and experience of the muggle world through her half-blooded parent, otherwise your bloodstatus would need to be turned into 'wizardborn'. Refer to this thread for more informations about blood statuses, and please edit this part of your backstory, or let me know if you'd want your bloodstatus to be changed.
- Please make sure your backstory / fiom is the exact same on your application and in your encyclopedia!!
