So once again, I feel I must mention (since I just saw 2 pet threads in the menagerie from new people), the amount of galleons you see stated on your profile, beside your name etc... is NOT the amount of galleons you actually have to spend. That represents your total wealth of your galleons plus all the items your trunk holds. Your actual amount of galleons/sickles you can spend can be seen if you hover your mouse over your profile on the upper right hand part of your screen if you're on desktop computer. I know a lot of people (veterans usually) think that it's easy for people to see/find out but apparently it isn't because more and more new people keep trying to get pets when they don't have enough galleons because they are confusing the total wealth they have with the amount of money they can spend. So I'm thinking something should be done about this so these pet threads don't end up having to say 'I'm sorry you don't have enough funds, let me send you an owl and explain to you more about this'. I mean if staff members really want to keep doing this, then go ahead! But if you wanted to make things a bit easier for yourself, maybe somehow let new people know how to find out how much money they have to spend versus total wealth? I mean, unless you want to change the money from total wealth to just how much you have to spend, but the topic about that was brought up before and I think most people decided it would be better not to change total wealth to money you have. Which is totally fine. I'm just saying if you don't want to change total wealth to how much money you have to spend, staff should at least make an announcement via owl like the validation owl saying both the fact that minimum word count on all posts is 200 words (I've seen so many new people not know this) and that the money shown is NOT the amount they have but is total wealth.
