I mean I understand your mother's concerns, there will always be shady people on the internet. My parents used to forbid me to join roleplay communities, so I did it secretly and when they found out and saw how much it did for me, they just let me continue. But hio is a comparatively safe environment for younger people to roleplay, in my opinion.

my trick is i am super open about hio with my parents. i am almost at a year on the site and because of that and me being open with them they allow me to do things like write letters to a friend from the discord and such
