@Colin McCoire

"Polite stalking" is the short answer But you've practically nailed it on the head there! Emily is very much an inquisitive individual who's learnt plenty of things, but not all of them are so much the "right" lessons She's independent which she tends to translate as "doing it yourself", leaving her prone to risk and also feels she struggles to keep up and adapt to where she is now. That's why having peers like Colin is good for her to kick her tooshie into the right direction and to learn things for herself and to realise her self worth in all her Muggle glory!

And I have a lot of fun chatting with Colin OOC as well! We have our goofs, our gaffes and good times He's one of many people that have kept me interested in sticking around here. @Scout Fu-Hai is another jewel in the crown for that as well! A good crowd was enough to keep me active longer than a week, otherwise I'd have left much much sooner...

So thank the good souls here that have made me feel welcome and jumpstarted some motivation to follow through with a character that had otherwise been shelved for years

I am curious! How long had you been working on Emily? It's pretty clear, even to me, that she's very well thought out!

Colin, on the other hand, just kind of poufed into existence as I was struggling through the validation process! I already knew a lot about his family and the older generation, and how their actions and stories would shape Colin's life.

Colin's a magnet for good times! It's hard to resist!

I've talked about it a wee bit in my Art Gallery but Emily was originally the protagonist for a story I had in mind ages ago! I had characters, a general gist of the plot but I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get it to take off. The project ended up being shelved and Emily being repurposed for H.io since I needed a character to play as. I came on here with very little prior knowledge to the HP universe (aside from what I remember from the films ) which was an overarching reason why I felt like I wouldn't stick around for long.

So, to help me get started, I used Emily with the gist of what's in her initial registration as a basis for the character. But overtime when she began to evolve to fit the site lore etc, I realised small strings attached weren't working so I cut them off when I re-Indexed (minor edits to her family life and so on )

Emily's the first proper story I've worked on that deals with psychological elements which has me excited to keep working with, mixed in of course with the fantasy elements which is my primary genre of storytelling As for scenarios and adventures, I've been making it up for the most part as I've went along. Some of what I've pitched to people privately for confirmation (staff members) haven't gone anywhere which I'm still struggling to adjust to. I've only RP'd a small amount of times but this is the smallest scope I've had to work with, which is funny because this is the same universe (that its based on) where Harry Potter once killed a man just by touching his face in the first movie when he was 11!

Otherwise, it'd be safe to say Emily's story would have gone quite differently in some places but still the same outcomes And of course, still the same banter with her buddies like Scoutie and Colin!

Sounds like you guys really like your characters! I love Emmi and Colin's lore and threads too, you guys are amazing writers!

I feel like I'm kinda having trouble getting Lyanna's lore started, simply because, well, I'm doing a ton of rps right now and I can't catch up. Because of that, I don't have any time to actually write any lore, which makes it harder for me to then write replies, because I don't have a firm base to lean on. Now I also have a lot to do for the Spring Ball, so I have even less time to write replies. It's kind of a cycle that keeps going round and round and just takes away more and more motivation every time, but I do really want to continue writing Lya and don't want to abandon any threads. I'm just not sure how to proceed.
