I have a tip that will hopefully help you for now. When you click the letter icon in a post, it will direct you to the owl system with the thread title automatically entered as the owl subject. You can check the owl subject to see whether there's a title tag there.

Another tip for fewer clicks, you can check whether the poster mentioned (tagged) any players in the thread. Usually, this indicates that the thread is private to the players mentioned.
