I know the bloopers before she made her character. It was supposed to be a KFC worker wearing a Mc Donalds hat that travels the world, and since she is real short she could pass as a 10 year old *Deep Breath* that wants to take over the world.

I wrote Kim as a Ravenclaw with his personality and background completely 100% Ravenclaw. It didn't work if he got into a House that wasn't Ravenclaw. I could have adjusted it if he got Slytherin but no other House. He got Gryffindor which is the only one that my background/personality did not fit at all... so then I had to re-write my entire background/personality. Why? Because the whole point was that Kim was a Ravenclaw deep inside and needed to follow his own heart that was filled with intelligence, intellect, book-reading, studious etc... it wouldn't make sense if he was in any other House. Plus, I could make it work for Slytherin because both his parents were Slytherin.
But it couldn't have been any other House without MAJOR changes. Hufflepuff was doable. But Gryffindor was 100% not. When I got Gryffindor, I had to rewrite my entire background and personality. Originally, Kim did not have social anxiety, was not allergic to cats and didn't have a fear of heights. I added those to give him more personality for a Gryffindor. I had a whole thing planned out for him being in Ravenclaw or Slytherin. And I got neither... I mean I'm happy he ended up how he did but it was NOT what I wanted. And I couldn't just 'make it work' bc being SPECIFICALLY in these 2 Houses was essential to the whole background/personality.
However, I couldn't change his House either. So I had to rewrite everything about my character.

I was hoping Edward would be a Gryffindor but I didn't really write him with Any house in mind....

Yeah, I mean it's kind of hard to write a character without knowing what House they will be in. I'd kind of like it better if you get sorted BEFORE you make your character.
That way you know what House you're in and can create a character accordingly based off of that.
Otherwise it's like you write a character wanting to be in this House.
But then you get another...
Which makes you feel like you want to change your character now bc your original one doesn't fit.
In most cases you can adjust and don't have to change anything if you create your character in a certain way. But if you made them so they only have certain traits that would fit in a certain House AND your background/history only makes sense for them to be in THIS or THAT House, it gets harder to rp being in that House with your character the way they are. So you end up needing to change.
